Introduction: Generally, paresthesia are a pain or uncomfortable sense or abnormality feeling like a burned, sweating, etc. The symptoms can be temporary or permanent, an acute nerve injury will reduce risk of permanent paresthesia. Review: Paresthesia can caused by local anesthesia ( injection method), extraction of third molar, dental implant, endodontic treatment, and trauma. It can prevented by proper patient identification, treatment planning and procedure. The management of paresthesia are observation, Physiologic treatment (cryotherapy, electro-iontophoresis, heat-therapy, massage treatment or acupunture), pharmacology therapy (antibiotics, anti-inflamation, antidepressant, neurotropic group, and topical), phsychologic therapy and laser therapy. Conclusion: Using Laser for paresthesia are to accelerate and enhanced regeneration the nerve tissue. With low-level laser it wiil be e xpected to healing an injured nerve.

This study aims to improve the athlete's performance from the physiological aspect by knowing the differences in the response of sport massage and swedish massage with variations in pressure (light, medium, and heavy) on the hind limbs a 30 m running speed taken four times. This research is a quasi-experimental design, with the research subjects of POPDA Sleman athletic athletes with sample of 20 people. The sample was divided by matching pairs with the aim of both groups getting a balanced power. The treatments used are sports massage with movement manipulation (effleurage, tapotement, shaking/vibration) and swedish massage with movement manipulation (drainage, compression, tapotement, shaking/vibration) with pressure variation. The results showed that there were differences in the effect/good response of the type of sports massage treatment (group x) with moderate pressure. This is evidenced by the results of an increase in record time by an average of 0.36 seconds. Treatment of light pressure increased record time by an average of 0.28 seconds. Heavy pressure treatment increased record time by an average of 0.04 seconds. There is a difference in the effect/unfavorable response of the type of swedih massage treatment (group y) with all types of pressure, because it provides a decreased response time from pretest to posttest. It is proven by the decrease in the average time of 0.16 seconds on the light pressure treatment, the decrease in the average time of 0.24 seconds on the medium pressure treatment, and a decrease of 0.34 seconds on the heavy pressure treatment.

Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee is a degenerative, non-inflammatory joint condition marked by articular cartilage disintegration and the growth of new bone (osteophytes) at the joint surfaces and borders. It impairs one's ability to function and makes one disabled. It is the most common rheumatic disease. Because the Knee is a weight-bearing joint and a crutch joint, it is the most usually afflicted joint by Osteoarthritis.A Correlational study was conducted to find out the correlation between Knee Society Score (KSS) and Oxford Knee Score (OKS) on 142 Osteoarthritis Knees. Purposive sampling was used to collect data from the Orthopaedics OPD at AIIMS Jodhpur from October to December 2018.On evaluation, the mean age of the patients was 60.19±1.01. Bilateral Knee Osteoarthritis affected about 42% of the patients. Approximately half of the patients were obese. Only 34% of patients had compliance in physiotherapy. Analgesics and massage treatment are used by about 76% of the patients to relieve knee pain. In the Knee Society Score, the majority of the patients (82.4%) had a bad knee condition, with a mean score of 49.07±1.06. In OKS, about half of the patients (46.5%) had Moderate to Severe Knee Osteoarthritis, with a mean score of 22.69±7.09. The correlation coefficient between the Knee Society Score and the Oxford Knee Score is 0.660. As a consequence of the analysis, both scales have almost the same outcome, indicating that they are moderately associated. The Knee Society Score is highly associated with occupation and physiotherapy, whereas the Oxford Knee Score is significantly related to the patients' age alone. According to the study, there is a moderate correlation between the Knee Society Score (KSS) and the Oxford Knee Score (OKS). These scores should be included during the diagnosis of Knee Osteoarthritis for improved patient care.

The aim of this research was to verify whether the application of percussion therapy during inter-set rest periods increases the number of repetitions performed before reaching a 30% velocity loss threshold during a bench press exercise. Methods: Twenty-four male university students participated in this study (24.3 ± 1.3 years; 77.5 ± 8.3 kg; 177.0 ± 5.6 cm; 24.7 ± 2.6 kg∙m−2). Participants were randomized into two groups: a percussion therapy group (PTG) and a control group (CG). They performed 4 sets at 70% of a one-repetition maximum before reaching a 30% velocity loss threshold with an inter-set recovery of 3 min. Results: The PTG performed a greater total number of repetitions compared to the CG (44.6 ± 4.8 vs. 39.5 ± 6.8; p = 0.047; ES = 0.867). No differences were observed for the different movement velocity variables and fatigue control (p > 0.05). Conclusions: Percussion therapy is an effective method to delay the loss of movement velocity in the bench press exercise.

Abstract Background: Both massage and topically administered NSAIDs are safe and effective treatment for knee osteoarthritis (KOA); however, different massage technique sects in China caused assessment difficulties for the treatment of KOA. In order to standardize massage techniques and procedures, we organized multi-disciplinary experts in China to acquire an evidence-based traditional Chinese medicine massage treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The purposes of this study are to evaluate the efficacy and safety of evidence-based traditional Chinese medicine massage treatment of KOA compared to External Diclofenac Diethylamine Emulgel. Methods and design: 300 participants diagnosed with KOA will be randomly divided into the experimental group, control group, and waiting list group in a ratio of 2:1. The participants will receive evidence-based traditional Chinese medicine massage 2 sessions per week for 10 weeks or External Diclofenac Diethylamine Emulgel 3-4 times per day for 10 weeks respectively. The MRI scans and X-ray will be performed at baseline and the end of the intervention period. The main evaluation index will include the Western Ontario and McMaster Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). The secondary evaluation index will include:(1) WOMAC each dimension; (2) the PRO scale for knee osteoarthritis based on the concept of Traditional Chinese Medicine(Chinese scale for knee osteoarthritis, CSKO); (3) MRI scan and X-ray evaluation.Discussion: The results of our study will help to evaluate efficacy and safety of evidence-based traditional Chinese medicine massage treatment of KOA compared with External Diclofenac Diethylamine Emulgel combined with clinical, X-ray and MRI changes. Trial registration: Chinese Clinical Trial Registry ChiCTR1800014400. Registered on 10 January 2018.

Life Quality of an infant is a multidimensional concept that involves physical, emotional, mental, social and other behavioural elements and their function, One of the efforts to maintain the quality of the infant is by field massage. Baby massage is one of the stimulus touches which is also a safe and comfortable form of communication with an infant. The objective of this research to analyze the influence of field massage on the life quality of infants with hyperbilirubinemia and under phototherapy. This research was a quasi-experimental research with one group pre-test-posttest design. with 35 respondents taken as the sample. The data was collected through direct observation on infants life quality before and after the field massage treatment with the assistant of the observation sheet. Life Quality observed include body weight, temperature, pulse, sleep duration, crying time, nighttime awakening intensity. This field massage is done 2x / day (morning and night) within 10 minutes for 2 days in certain areas namely the face chest, stomach, back. The results showed the average infant weight before the massage was 3056.74 after the massage field 3097.14, the baby's temperature before field massage was 36,640 after field massage 36,974, for infant pulse before field massage the average was 142.57 after field massage 141.66, the length of the infant sleep/day before average field massage 14.252 after field massage 16.765, the average intensity of getting up at night/day before the massage field 4.14 after massage field 3.0, the average length of crying of infant/day before the massage field 2,085 after the massage field 1,464. The results of the research showed that the Wilcoxon match pair test for the life quality of infant variable obtained p-value = 0,000 (α = 0.05) meaning that there was a significant effect of field massage on the life quality of infant with hyperbilirubinemia under phototherapy.

Pediatric cerebral palsy is a common refractory disease in pediatrics, which has not only a high disability rate, but also a significant impact on the growth and daily learning of children. At present, the clinical treatment of pediatric cerebral palsy is diversified, and the curative effect is different. Among the many therapies, acupuncture and massage have the characteristics of safety, economy, and efficiency, which has unique advantages in treating the disease. However, due to the irregularity of the acupoint selection experience and manipulation, the evaluation of clinical efficacy is different. Therefore, it is necessary to summarize, analyze and organize the clinical research of acupuncture and massage treatment of pediatric cerebral palsy, in order to provide guidance and reference for clinical and follow-up research. This paper sorts out the relevant literature, and reviews the treatment of pediatric cerebral palsy from the aspects of acupuncture and massage.
