For the first time in Russian historiography, a Russian-language translation from Turkish (literary version of Ottoman) of a manuscript of an article by the Samara imam Mukhammet-Fatykh Murtazin (18751938), sent to the religious and educational journal Asri Musulmanliq (Modern Islam, published in Simferopol in 19241927) editorial board of the People's Administration of Religious Affairs of Muslims of Crimea (NURDMK). The article entitled Islam and Civilization was planned for placement in № 13 for 1926, its translation was carried out by an employee of the Eastern Department of the OGPU in Crimea and sent for approval of the text to the Eastern Department of the OGPU in Moscow. Murtazin's manuscript contains a number of reformist ideas, loyal to the current political moment. He tried to adapt the Islamic tradition to new reality. The article was not allowed for publication due to the desire of its author to present the priority of Islamic civilization over the European and American worlds, which, obviously, did not correspond to the ideological attitudes of the workers of the Soviet special services. The authors also draw attention to the course and nature of intense theological discussion and the development of renovationist thought in the Muslim world of the Soviet Union in the 1920-ies, a discussion that took place under censorship and the emerging ideological pressure.

Graphic novels combine short text and pictures to tell a story or convey information while still engaging the reader visually. This is a potentially useful tool for reaching out to struggling and reluctant readers. Struggling readers have difficulty reading and understanding what it is they are reading. Pictures allow for more context clues than just text alone, allowing for the potential for greater success in comprehension for struggling readers. Reluctant readers, on the other hand, may have more of a distaste for reading. In some cases, they are capable of understanding what they read, but they do not enjoy the activity and tend to avoid it. Graphic novels allow for a more visual experience when reading and potentially grabbing and holding the reluctant readers' interest. The purpose of this study is to analyze the publication trends in library and information (LIS) journal articles as well as educational journal articles that discuss graphic novels and reluctant or struggling readers, specifically publication trend over time, authorship, core journals, and the number of articles that are based on surveys or interviews.

The seventeenth issue of the Journal of Educational Sciences (JES) is published at a time we bid farewell to a tough year which has affected health, society, economy and the academic field. We welcome a new year, with encouraging signs of the start of the availability of a vaccine for the "Covid-19" virus, and of the positive echoes of the Gulf reconciliation. The Journal of Educational Sciences - as usual - continues to search for the best quality, accurate and diversified researches. This issue includes seven diverse educational researches, covering multiple fields, such as education principles, measurement and statistics, parenting, mental health, educational leadership, mathematics education, and science education. More specifically, this issue includes a paper entitled “The Role of Values Awareness in the Immunization against the Qatar Blockade Crisis”. The second research deals with “The Factor Structure of the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale among School Students and University Students in Oman”. The third research discusses "Parenting Styles - a comparative study between Omani and Saudi female students". The fourth research also investigates “Resilience and Quality of Work Life among Academic Faculties in Gulf Countries (Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Oman)”. The fifth paper studies "Strategic leadership as an approach to developing school principals' performance in the Sultanate of Oman”. The sixth paper deals with "Diagnostic accuracy of mathematics Concept and Application Curriculum based Measures in Screening Fourth Grade Students at Risk for Mathematical Learning Disabilities". The seventh and last research investigates “The Level of Experienced Omani Teachers’ Reflective Judgment of Scientific Knowledge and the Mechanisms of Justifying this Knowledge". I would like to thank everyone who contributed to producing this issue, including researchers, peer-reviewers, members of the editorial board and the journal’s secretariat, for all their efforts and dedication. We always look forward that the Journal of Educational Sciences remains - as it has always been - a distinguished educational journal, which can be trusted for its scope and quality.

The life of Luigi Credaro’s wife, Elisa Paini, allows us to observe some aspects of Credaro’s life in a new light. Through unpublished archival documents and letters of the spouses, the role of his wife is revealed, who was not only a trusted advisor but also a very reserved collaborator of the “Rivista Pedagogica” [Educational Journal] and the Unione Magistrale Nazionale, the Elementary school teachers national union. Elisa also represented the reference point for Credaro’s friends and colleagues and for anyone who wanted to reach him, to such an extent that she replaced her husband in his written communication.

This article presents a short biography of the Healthy and Artistic Dress Union, a dress reform society formed in 1890 with the aim of ‘teaching both men and women how to discriminate by choosing and rejecting, and so gradually moulding the exigencies of our climate and situation, the claims of artistic arrangement of drapery, and harmony of colour’. It presents a new account of the group that goes beyond previous discussions, which have been solely gleaned from the group's journal Aglaia. A brief history of the organization under the leadership of artists such as Henry Holiday, Walter Crane and G. F. Watts will precede an examination of their 1896 Exhibition of Living Pictures, and a discussion of their educational journal Aglaia and its later iteration The Dress Review, illustrating the creative production and philosophy of Artistic Dress from this later period in its history.

Ezek eloszlása azonban jelentős eltérést mutat a szerzői hálózatban. --- The Visibility of Authors in Hungarian Educational Journal Networks Scientific journals are important forums of scientific and professional communities. Visibility in journals is important because we work in an attention economy. It could lead us to success through attention. Knowing who and how is present in our professional knowledge networks could help us to understand our positions in our professional communities. There are various conceptions of visibility. We refer to productivity and network presence of authors in publication networks. According to earlier scientometric and network research, in authorship networks distribution of productivity and co-authorship collaboration is unequal. Some authors are highly visible in the publication network, but many of them are on the periphery. We can measure visibility in various ways; we chose scientometric and network measures published in earlier studies. Our goal was to measure the visibility of authors (n=4281) who published in leading Hungarian educational journals (n=4) between 1991 and 2016. We focused on and compared the publication productivity, the co-authorship collaborators and collaborations as well as the co-authorship fitness of authors. Our results supported the assumptions of the powerlaw distribution of the measured indicators. Besides this, our analysis showed that the positions - the rankings of authors - is different in most of the measures, still we found moderate to strong correlations between them. Keywords: scientific visibility, productivity, co-authorship, network analysis, journals, education, co-authorship fitness
