  Writing is not an easy thing. Especially for beginners or those who have never written. Writing activities become boring activities, not fun. Writing is a scary thing. It's very hard to do. Sometimes we don't know where to start. These problems can be solved with the development of increasingly advanced technology. Technology was created to be able to help and make it easier for humans to do things. In the field of education, various applications can be used to support teaching and learning activities, one of which is the Pixton application. Pixton is a website that allows students to create comics online without installing anything on their computer. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to (1) describe the increase in interest in writing stories through the Pixton application. (2) Describe the results of writing stories through the Pixton application. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques in this study uses a questionnaire. The method of scaling the attitude statement uses a Likert scale with five alternative answers. The results of the study were 91.4% of respondents who answered strongly agree and agree that the Pixton application is interesting when used to write stories. 80% of respondents stated that the Pixton application did not make respondents bored in completing a story. 94.3% stated that writing stories using the Pixton application was more interesting than writing stories on a piece of paper. 94.3% of respondents stated that the Pixton application can increase creativity and interest in writing stories. The results of writing stories through the Pixton Application with an average value of compiling story texts are 83.8. ABSTRAKMenulis bukanlah hal yang mudah. Apalagi bagi pemula atau yang sama sekali belum pernah menulis. Kegiatan menulis menjadi kegiatan yang membosankan, tidak menyenangkan. Menulis menjadi hal yang menakutkan. Berat sekali untuk melakukannya. Tidak tahu harus mulai dari mana. Berbagai permasalahan ini dapat dipecahkan dengan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju. Teknologi diciptakan untuk dapat membantu dan mempermudah manusia dalam mengerjakan sesuatu. Dalam bidang pendidikan, beragam aplikasi bisa digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, salah satunya adalah aplikasi Pixton. Pixton adalah situs web yang memungkinkan peserta didik membuat komik online tanpa memasang apa pun di komputer. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini untuk (1) mendeskripsikan peningkatan minat menulis cerita melalui aplikasi Pixton. (2) Mendeskripsikan hasil menulis cerita melalui aplikasi Pixton. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan quesioner. Metode penskalaan atas pernyataan sikap menggunakan skala likert dengan lima alternatif jawaban. Hasil penelitian 91,4% responden yang menjawab sangat setuju dan setuju bahwa aplikasi Pixton menarik bila digunakan untuk menulis cerita. Sebanyak 80% responden menyatakan aplikasi Pixton tidak membuat responden bosan dalam menyelesaikan sebuah cerita. Sebanyak 94,3% menyatakan menulis cerita dengan menggunakan aplikasi Pixton lebih menarik dari pada menulis cerita di selembar kertas. Sebanyak 94,3% responden menyatakan aplikasi Pixton dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan minat menulis cerita. Hasil menulis cerita melalui Aplikasi Pixton dengan nilai rata-rata menyusun teks cerita 83,8.


Since this is a beginning of a new holistic approach, one of the most difficult issues is preparation of a circular designer's brief, which will be helpful at all phases of design, construction, maintenance, end of building's life, and various types of material loops. Currently there is no single approach. Basically, it exists more as a general attitude statement and still has to be developed. This chapter will include some thoughts and possibilities as to the design approach and management that can be used for various different projects. Some design outcomes from studios run by the author jointly with members of Faculty of Architecture staff are included. These deal with some circular solutions proposed to the students for further development. Two case studies presented in the appendices will prove that circular approach should be used in various harsh environments, as well as city conditions.

Social scientists pursue sincere efforts to identify the preferential variables of cultivators responsible for adoption of modern cultivation practices. The present paper attempts to identify the important variables of preference towards organic farming. The farmers were categorized on the basis of land holdings and their preferences for adoption were recorded. Different constraints in adopting organic farming were treated as attitude statement and their agreement with these statements were recorded on 5-point Likert scale. Differences in agreement towards various constraints as well as differences in ranks of criteria for adopting organic farming across different groups of farmers were assessed using Kruskal Wallis ANOVA followed by Wilcoxon’s procedure to analyze pairwise differences .Factors like low yield, high labour requirement, unavailability of proper market were observed to play deterrent role in adoption. Some of the advantages associated with organic farming like less contamination of nutrients, environment friendly, value addition etc. were observed to be relatively less important motivating factors to adopt organic farming, specially by small and medium farmers which indicates that the profitability is of much higher concern for them to sustain organic farming as compared to its other environmental and health benefits.

Abstract Aim: Physical conditioning of youth has always been a controversial topic as it raises ethical, physiological, and medical issues. Current recommendations and guidelines suggest that strength training is a relatively safe and worthwhile method in conditioning youth. This, however, requires well-informed coaches who follow age-appropriate strength training recommendations and guidelines, compiles well-designed strength training programs, and provides qualified supervision and instructions. The purpose of this study was to investigate coaches’ awareness of current recommendations and guidelines regarding strength training for youth. Method: A total of 39 football (US: soccer) coaches (34 males and 5 females) training boys in age groups 8–12 years were included in this study. Data were collected using an attitude statement questionnaire, and the assertions were based upon current recommendations and guidelines. Results: The results revealed significant differences among coaches in terms of knowledge of important aspects of strength training for youth. Conclusions: The results suggested that coaches in the present study were not aware of the latest recommendations and guidelines regarding strength training for youth.

The purpose of this research was to examine whether mean differences in endorsement rate to reversed item-stems of the same attitude statement can occur independent of acquiescence and if these observed differences have any effect when summed in relation to an outside criterion. Using two within-group designs, a significant number of mean differences between item-stems were found. Analyses showed that these observed differences were not due to the effects of acquiescence. However, for both groups, total scores based on items where mean differences in endorsement were observed correlated significantly with total scores based on items where no mean differences in endorsement were observed. Also, minor variations in mean rate of endorsement due to the direction of the item-stem wording had little effect on the correlations between the summated attitude scores and the outside criterion.
