JSC "Kharkiv Machine-Building Plant "Svitlo Shahtarja" has created and introduced into serial production a new generation UKD200-500 coal shearer. The most loaded element of the shearer is its cutting part. It is a three-stage reducer with an electric motor. Calculations for the strength and durability of gearing, shafts, bearings, spline, pinned and hinge joints have been carried out. The modeling of the stress-strain state for the main parts and assemblies by the finite element method has also been carried out. Calculations have shown that the strength and durability of all parts is ensured. Consequently, the required durability of 15000 hours and the average resource before major overhaul are not less than 800...1000 thousand tons are provided.

Introduction. The purpose of the article is to assess the economic consequences of the transfer in 1947 of the director of the Urals Machine-Building Plant (UZTM) B. G. Muzrukov into the system of the Soviet atomic project for the subsequent development of production at UZTM. B. G. Muzrukov was the main initiator, developer and organizer of the reconversion program carried out at UZTM since 1944. His transfer coincided with the height of its implementation. Materials and Methods. The authors used statistical and clerical materials on the activities of UZTM in 1946–1953. Based on the annual accounting reports of the plant for its main activities, dynamic statistical series of data were compiled on the implementation of the UZTM plan for the shaft and nomenclature of products (method of average percentage). The information obtained was analyzed in the context of the planning targets, personnel changes, and the state of production discipline at the plant. Results and Discussion. It was established that the reassignment of B. G. Muzrukov aggravated the problems associated with the implementation of the production reconversion program at UZTM. They were marked in a number of internal and external factors (drop in reporting rates, conflicts in the workforce, changes in planned buildings, adjustments to the reconversion program by the relevant ministry). Conclusion. The tested/shown method of analysis and evaluation of the results of the UZTM operation can be extended to other industrial enterprises of the USSR in the 1940s–1950s. The subsequent analysis of the data in dynamics and comparison will allow the professional community to expand its own understanding of the specifics of the functioning of the industry in the period of the late Stalinism.

Changes in the dimensions of the main bore of the cylinder of a "ТМЗ-450Д" diesel engine in the technological process of its mechanical and thermal treatment at the Tula Machine-Building Plant are analyzed. The accepted sequence of operations is presented: turning with CNC — aging — boring — aging — honing — aging — honing — honing — honing — aging. An incorrect choice of the cylinder basing scheme was noted during the first operations. A new version of the technological process of mechanical and heat treatments is proposed, including natural aging and the use of double boring on a modular boring machine, which made it possible to reduce the number of honing operations to one, including rough and finish steps. The paper provides an overview of the main activities of JSC NPO Lavochkin from the 30s of the last century till present, and also a description of promising projects. Diversified programs for development and production of space complexes for scientific investigations of deep and adjacent space objects are presented. For the 75th anniversary of the foundation of RSC Energia, touchpoints between the veteran space enterprises are discussed. Consideration is given to the issue of transferring the lunar and planetary subject of OKB-1 to the team of S.A. Lavochkin machine-building plant and assigning Georgy Nikolaevich Babakin to a position of the chief designer. The tasks being solved by spacecraft and the ways of their implementation are briefly analyzed. The near-term prospects of national and international space programs are outlined. a spatio-temporal analysis of the main indicators of the water quality of the Hodza River, the change in time of water quality along the river under the conditions of anthropogenic impact is carried out. In general, the waters of the river are characterized as “extremely dirty”. Among the pollutants, iron and ammonium nitrogen compounds absolutely prevail. There is a tendency to some improvement in the quality of river waters downstream. In the upper reaches, the COD is 1.7 and 2.5 times higher than in the middle and upper reaches; BOD – 1.6 and 2.3 times, respectively.

The authors describe in the article the characteristics of the existing ecological processes at the machine-building plant. Taking into account the territorial location, there are prospects and shortcomings in the organization of environmental protection in the South of Western Siberia. On the example of the Tyumen plant of geological prospecting machines and equipment, a set of measures is being developed for the greening of production. Subject/topic. The article deals with the interaction and influence of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-building Plant» on the single-industry city of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole. Goals and objectives of the work. The purpose of this work is to assess the financial, economic, and production activities of JSC «AMZ» for the period 2016-2020, as well as the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district for the same period. Methodology. To analyse the financial, economic, and production activities of JSC «AMZ», an assessment was made of such indicators as the dynamics of net, non-current, and current assets, accounts payable, profit (gross, from sales, before tax, and net), business expenses, and production costs. To analyse the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district, an assessment of the demographic situation, the investment climate, and the development of small and medium-sized businesses was carried out. Results. It is concluded that the development and financial and economic condition of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant» directly affects the socio-economic development of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole. The city-forming enterprise is on the verge of bankruptcy. If this procedure takes place, the issue of the existence of the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk will become much more acute, since at the moment there is a significant outflow of the working-age population, especially young people. Conclusions/significance. The practical significance of this study consists in the proposed recommendations for improving the efficiency of the city-forming enterprise JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant». Application. The problems of the development of a city-forming enterprise, a single-industry town and the proposed recommendations can be used to improve the development strategy of both the city-forming enterprise itself (JSC «Alexandrovsky Machine-Building Plant») and the single-industry town of Alexandrovsk and the Alexandrovsky district as a whole.

The mining industry of Uzbekistan uses hundreds of tons of white wear-resistant cast iron monthly for the manufacture of parts for machinery and equipment that extract natural raw materials. Only the Production Association Navoi Machine-Building Plant (PO «NMZ») monthly produces cast parts from wear-resistant high-chromium alloyed white cast iron with a volume of more than 120 tons per month. Most of the parts are made for rock crushers; their wear during work in mines shortens the service life of machinery and equipment. Parts of foreign equipment: dredge pumps, lining of grinding mills, hydraulic transport and others are made of white cast iron, highly alloyed with chromium, nickel, copper, titanium and other chemical elements. The annual import into the republic of parts made of cast irons of complex chemical composition requires signifi cant costs. In order to save money by refusing to import parts, a domestic wear-resistant white cast iron of grade 280Kh29NL was developed, from which rubbing parts, operating under wear conditions in mines, for mining equipment are cast in the foundry of the Navoi Machine-Building Plant. Considering that ferroalloys for the production of cast iron are also imported, the cost savings in the production of mining equipment parts instead of worn-out ones is insignificant. The purpose of this work is to optimize the composition of highly alloyed wear-resistant white cast iron for its replacement in industry with an economically alloyed analogue, as well as to improve the structure of the composition-optimized white wear-resistant cast iron to obtain the required level of performance properties of parts operating under friction and wear conditions. For this, phase transformations, the structure and properties of white cast iron, and the conditions for casting parts were studied. Based on the research results, recommendations were developed for economical alloying and casting technology for friction and wear parts.
