A reliable Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) is proposed and implemented in this study, which is integrated with a biometric fingerprint scanner to ensure a secure election process. This biometric EVM includes features such as an interactive user interface, hack-free design and master lock. The EVM system has the capability of registering user data and storing them in a database through proper authentication. Moreover, the system proposed lowers the requirement for human resources. This paper provides a detailed description of the systematic development of the hardware and software used. The software part includes algorithm development and implementation. A thorough and in-depth understanding of the data and the communication protocols along with the pathways used for storage of data in the devices is provided. Additionally, the cost of the system is 62.82% less than the officially existing EVM machines of India. Furthermore, this study seeks to demonstrate the benefits of such an approach from a technological and a social standpoint.

Smart polling system is an android application that facilitates user (voter), nominee and administrator (who will be in charge and will verify all the user information) to participate in online voting. Our smart polling system is highly secured, and it has a simple and interactive user interface. The proposed online portal is secured and have unique security feature such as unique id generation that adds another layer of security (except login id and password) and gives admin the ability to verify the user information and to decide whether he is eligible to vote or not. It also creates and manages voting and election details as all the users must login by user name and password and click on candidates to register vote.

<p>The Metadata Management and Distribution System for Multiple GNSS Networks (M<sup>3</sup>G, https://gnss-metadata.eu), hosted by the Royal Observatory of Belgium, is one of the services of the European Plate Observing System (EPOS, https://www.epos-eu.org) and EUREF (http://euref.eu).</p><p>M<sup>3</sup>G provides the scientific as well as the non-scientific community with a state-of-the-art archive of information on permanently tracking GNSS stations in Europe, including the station description, the GNSS networks the stations contribute to, whether station observation data are publicly available, and how to access them. </p><p>Since its first public release (2018), M<sup>3</sup>G has been under continuous development, to respond to the evolving needs of the GNSS community, to progress towards FAIR data principles and comply with GDPR. </p><p>M<sup>3</sup>G offers APIs and an interactive user interface where any GNSS station manager, after registration, can insert all information relative to its GNSS stations and make this information publicly available. Consequently, the commitment of station managers to insert GNSS station metadata in M<sup>3</sup>G and their willingness to keep the information up to date is crucial for the success of M<sup>3</sup>G.</p><p>At the moment, M<sup>3</sup>G is used by 127 GNSS agencies and includes data from more than 2500 GNSS stations all over Europe, and more still in the process of being collected.</p><p>We will illustrate the rationale underlying M<sup>3</sup>G, the data that it provides and how these data can be accessed.</p>

Gustavo Grandal Montero (ALJ):Could you give an overview of the main aims and context of the project?Ami Clarke (AC): The Digital Archive of Artists’ Publishing (DAAP) is an interactive, user-driven, searchable database of artists’ books and publications, that acts as a hub to engage with others, built by artists, publishers and a community of creative practitioners in contemporary artists’ publishing, developed via an ethically-driven design process, and supported by Wikimedia UK and Arts Council England. The project is inspired by the site of Banner Repeater's public Archive of Artists’ Publishing on Hackney Downs train station, with 11,000 people passing a day, in response to the need for a similarly dynamic approach to archiving in an online context.

Public space lighting (PSL) contributes to pedestrians’ feeling of safety (FoS) in urban areas after natural dark. However, little is known how different PSL attributes, such as illuminance, light temperature, uniformity and glare, affect people's FoS in different contextual settings. The present study aims to bridge this knowledge gap by developing a model linking different PSL attributes with FoS, while controlling for individual, locational, environmental and temporal factors. To develop such model, the study employs a novel interactive user-oriented method, based on a specially-designed mobile phone application–CityLightsTM. Using this app, a representative sample of observers reported their impressions of PSL attributes and FoS in three cities in Israel, following a set of predetermined routes and points. As the study shows, higher levels of illumination and uniformity positively affect FoS, while lights perceived as warm tend to generate higher FoS than lights perceived as cold. These findings may guide future illumination polices aimed at promoting energy efficiency while ensuring urban sustainability.
