Engine performance will decrease when it is operated continuously so that maintenance is needed. Improper maintenance time intervals can reduce engine reliability and still causes machine damage suddenly. Therefore, maintenance time intervals must be determined precisely. This study aims to determine the engine maintenance time intervals using Reliability Theory and Age Replacement Model, then calculate the total maintenance cost. The result shows that the application of new maintenance time interval increases machine reliability.

Reliability is the application of design to the component so that the component can perform its function properly. Research conducted on Digester machine that its role is quite high at PT. SMART Tbk. Batu Ampar Mill, the method used is Reliability with  MTTR Method. From the calculation results obtained Digester engine reliability value in 2015 has the highest reliability value of 0,8692 at the time of calculation 329,4 hours, And in 2016 has a reliability value of 0,2972 at the time of calculation of 389,45 hours. The value of digester machine reliability in 2015 is higher than in other years, this is evidenced that the life of the Digester machine in 2015 is more dominant than in year 2016. The higher the reliability value the better the machine used in the operation  process.

The multirole F-16 is the most advanced aircraft in the Polish Air Forces. It has been equipped with the very modern, sophisticated and advanced turbofan engine F100-PW-229. Due to the fact, that there is only one engine, its reliability, durability, efficiency and performance are the crucial factors for the safety reasons. In the article author researched maintenance system of the F100 turbofan engines, to describe Engine Monitoring System features. Engine Monitoring System (EMS) is the key element in the engine prognostic and health monitoring. The EMS provides engine fault indicators to the pilots and technicians and with the engine performance trending affects the F-16 flight safety risk and enhanced engine maintenance management concept. The main goal of this article was to provide information on the F-16 Engine Monitoring System and its impact on the aircraft airworthiness and F-16 fleet readiness resulting from the engine reliability. It is also an introduction to the F-16 Engine Health Management concept.

The machine is one of the main factors of production whose role is very important in order to produce a product that conforms to the specifications set by a machine, with the amount and capacity of the machine's production. Reliability is the design of a component so that components can work according to function, without any failure, in accordance with the process already set. Screw press is a fitting machine used to squeeze moss brondolan ripe with press system and used to separate crude oil from crushed flesh (mesocarp) by squeezing. Research done on Screw Press machine that its role is quite high in PT. Perkebunan Nusantara XIII. The method used is Reliability with MTTR Method. From the calculation results obtained reliability value Screw Press engine in 2015 has the highest reliability value of 1.6408 at the time of calculation of 383.75 hours and in 2016 has a reliability value of 0.7239 at the time of calculation 415.83 hours. Screw Press engine reliability value in 2016 is higher than 2015, it is proven that the life of Screw Press engine in 2016 is more dominant than in 2015.
