Abstract The article deals with the issues of the man-made waste use effectively in the building materials production, particular in non-autoclaved aerated concrete and granular aggregate. The basic properties of organic waste of flax bonfires and inorganic waste - ash from incineration of sewage sludge are determined. The optimal ratio selection of aggregates in non-autoclave aerated concrete is made. It is established that the use of flax bonfires makes it possible to partially or completely replace quartz sand in raw mixtures composition for producing aerated concrete. The dependence of the porous structure process on the temperature of aerated concrete mixture during the swelling period is investigated. Depending on a binder type and a technology, two methods of granulating materials, based on crushed flax and ash from wastewater sludge incineration are proposed.

Wet granulation processes can be driven from low to high water content. In this study, we consider the model situation of the growth of a single wet aggregate rolling in a dry granular flow inside a rotating drum. We measure the time evolution of its diameter for different grains and liquids, as well as various rotation rates of the drum. Using X-ray tomography, we are able to characterize the internal structure of the granular aggregate at different times during the process. We show that the growth rate of the aggregate can be related to the transport of the liquid inside the granule and the capture of grains. We propose a model to rationalize the maximum size of the aggregate and its growth rate.

The purpose of this research is to know whether the influence of bulk aggregate grains influence the targeted compressive strength value, test sample to concrete compressive strength. This research is a quantitative research that starts from the testing of materials used as concrete materials and make the concrete mix design based on the procedure to make normal concrete on SNI 03-2834-2000. The analyzing data using simple statistical method by comparing the average value of compressive strength from various sample forms. From the result of analysis, obtained data from of compressive strength achieved with the bulk of the granular aggregate grains used differently. The coarse aggregate grain also affects the compressive strength value with the greater tendency of coarse aggregate grains used, the greater the compressive strength.

In the Part I of the paper, structure of granular aggregates obtained after compaction of poly- and mono-dispersed spherical particles was characterized in terms of the coordination number, particles contacting forces and volume fraction distributions. This part of investigation deals with characterization of the state of stability under quasistatic conditions of the formed granular aggregate structure. The proposed method is based on visualization of the plane of the particle radius size plotted normally to the particle velocity vector. At the beginning of the compacting process, when the discrete particle drops down under the gravity acceleration (almost free of contact with other particles), the planes plotted the cylinder-like pattern at each time step. At the quasistatic state, when the acceleration of the settled particles tends to negligible values, the plot of these planes represents a certain texture appearing on the particle surface. For the interpretation of these textures, Shilnikov's homoclinic bifurcation theory was discussed and applied. In particular, it was found that textures specifying the quasistatic state mainly resulted from the resonant effect depending on the degree of freedom of the analyzed particles. Tiriamos ir vizualizuojamos atskirų dalelių greičio vektorių normalinių plokštumų formuojamos tekstūros, kurios esant kvazistatiniam būviui interpretuojamos kaip tam tikri rezonansinio poveikio dariniai, gaubiantys dalelių paviršių.
