Human beings for their self-centeredness, warmth, and leisure in their life, have chosen the avenue of globalization, technological advancement, and industrialization. The price that they are paying for this avenue is the catastrophe of biodiversity, climatic changes, global warming, depleting resources, melting of glaciers, and the catastrophe of greenery. Hence environmental sustainability and sustainable development have turned into a crucial agenda in the global association. India is a rapidly flourishing nation which is backed by the industrial sectors, yet it is exposed terribly to climatic change and global warming. Due to this alarming plight, the banking sectors who are the chief financial supporter of industries that cause pollution have taken a small start: Going Green. This has given push up to the conception of green banking and it has given birth to green banking products. The green banking products target cutback of carbon impression, resource-efficient economies, and ward off wastage of the accessible limited resources. It is focused upon moving towards banking practices that are non-hazardous to the environment and aids to conserve it. These green banking products initiatives have recently kick-started in a handful of banks across the country. Fueling of green products is required at a quick pace than anticipated, as they have a close association with other sectors that forms the country’s economy. This paper skates through the Need of the Hour and the awareness on Green Banking Products.

Many studies in recent years have investigated the effects of climate change on the future of biodiversity. In this chapter, the authors first examined the different possible effects of climate change that can operate at individual, population, species, community, ecosystem, notably showing that species can respond to climate challenges by shifting their climatic change. Climate change is one of the most important global environmental challenges that affect all the natural ecosystems of the world. Due to the fragile environment, mountain ecosystems are the most vulnerable to the impact of climate change. Climatic change will affect vegetation, humans, animals, and ecosystem that will impact on biodiversity. Mountains have been recognized as important ecosystems by the Convention on Biological Diversity. Climate change will not only threaten the biodiversity, but also affect the socio-economic condition of the indigenous people of the state. Various activities like habitat loss, deforestation, and exploitation amplify the impact of climate change on biodiversity.

AbstractClimate change is a most serious challenge. Committing the needed resources requires that a clear majority of citizens approves the appropriate policies, since committing resources necessarily involve a trade-off with other expenses. However, there are distinct groups of people who remain in denial about the realities of climatic change. This chapter presents a range of psychological and social phenomena that together explain the phenomena that lead to denial.

Saline systems are candidates to be threatened by climatic change. In terms of methodology and materials, color identification, geochemistry, and mineralogy analysis were used. The spectral analysis of data of the amount of active K and Na firstly shows the individualization of a cycle stretching along with 1000 yr. Then, a less pronounced cycle of 2500 years is marked with a lower intensity. Also, on the spectral analysis of K data, the drowned cycles of 650 and 500 years are marked by weak intensities not reaching the threshold level. These two comparable cycles may be artifacts due to analysis errors or variability in the rate of sedimentation resulting in the bifurcation of two hybrid cycles from one real cycle. This work confirmed the cycles found by color studies through real analyses such as geochemical and magnetic measurements. As a matter of fact, the majority of cycles found out by the spectral analysis of colors data are confirmed through analyses.

After Industrial Revolution, severe increases were experienced in fossil fuel consumption due to increased energy needs. The endless struggle of humankind for interest and his/her ignorance of environmental devastation led greenhouse gas to accumulate in the atmosphere, global warming to be experienced and, depending on this, climatic change to form. This process experienced has caused many international and national studies to be conducted in the area of climatic change related to the different disciplines, and the issue has taken place in the top orders among the leading subjects in academic platforms. This study discussed the effect of climatic change in Turkey on the agricultural sector. The sectors dealt with the study the agricultural sector, and the effects of climatic changes were aimed to be introduced with an econometric model. In agricultural sector, the effects of climatic changes from the perspective of the product productivity were analyzed by means of the agricultural sector, the effects of climatic changes from the perspective of product productivity were analyzed through Granger Causality Test. In the study, the period of 1970 -2017 was based on. The study deals with the issue on a sectorial basis; additionally, its effect is evaluated on the basis of product productivity from the original aspect of the study. Setting out from the results obtained in the study, climatic policies directed to the agricultural sector for Turkey were formed. The effects of the process on the sector were explicitly introduced. Developing climatic policies directed to this sector was targeted to contribute to the literature. Keywords: Climate change, agricultural products, granger causality test, variance decomposition.

Energy consumption in smart cities relates to every energy consumed to carry out an activity, produce something, or exist in a structure. The most common measurement of energy efficiency is energy consumption per square meter in city residential areas. The states’ problematic energy consumption characteristics in smart cities may include climatic change, rainfall issues, water scarcity, and electricity generation. Thus, based on the states of households, an expanded proposed system of statistic determination impact conversion by positive, accurate technology (STIRPAT) model has been developed. STIRPAT model is collaborative research that aims to learn about the dynamic connections between human systems and the surrounding environment. There are two methods of the STIRPAT model to satisfy the characteristic of the proposed approach. The energetic counseling framework is an emerging technique that overcomes climatic change, electricity generation, and rainfall issues by sensing it in the environment. An algorithmic approach of the standard genetic method offers to conclude the problems into a cloud block mechanism for visualizing the states. Thus, the integrated technique of these two methods shows the factual implementation to overcome the statistical problems. Further research shows that, since the significant effect had been taken into account, the energy consumption per square meter in metropolitan residential buildings peak occurred eleven years later than without considering the dilution effect. The performance ratio of the STIRPAT model is estimated to be 98.3% by comparing with overall researches.
