In this paper, the Ulam stability of an n-th order delay integro-differential equation is given. Firstly, the existence and uniqueness theorem of a solution for the delay integro-differential equation is obtained using a Lipschitz condition and the Banach contraction principle. Then, the expression of the solution for delay integro-differential equation is derived by mathematical induction. On this basis, we obtain the Ulam stability of the delay integro-differential equation via Gronwall–Bellman inequality. Finally, two examples of delay integro-differential equations are given to explain our main results.

We are concerned with an extension of a coupled sequential differential system of fractional type. Using the Banach contraction principle, we establish new results for the existence and uniqueness of solutions. Then, we prove another existence result via Schaefer’s fixed point theorem. At the end, we illustrate one main result by an example.

Abstract This manuscript is committed to deal with the existence and uniqueness of positive solutions for fractional relaxation equation involving ψ-Caputo fractional derivative. The existence of solution is carried out with the help of Schauder’s fixed point theorem, while the uniqueness of the solution is obtained by applying the Banach contraction principle, along with Bielecki type norm. Moreover, two explicit monotone iterative sequences are constructed for the approximation of the extreme positive solutions to the proposed problem. Lastly, two examples are presented to support the obtained results.

AbstractIn this paper, we introduce a new structure of the generalized multi-point thermostat control model motivated by its standard model. By presenting integral solution of this boundary problem, the existence property along with the uniqueness property are investigated by means of a special version of contractions named μ-φ-contractions and the Banach contraction principle. Then, on the given nonlinear generalized BVP of thermostat, the Bernstein polynomials are introduced and numerical solutions obtained by them are presented. At the end, three different structures of nonlinear thermostat models are designed and the results are examined.

AbstractIn this work, we consider a generalized quantum fractional Sturm–Liouville–Langevin difference problem with terminal boundary conditions. The relevant results rely on Mönch’s fixed point theorem along with a theoretical method by terms of Kuratowski measure of noncompactness (MNC) and the Banach contraction principle (BCP). Furthermore, two dynamical notions of Ulam–Hyers (UH) and generalized Ulam–Hyers (GUH) stability are addressed for solutions of the supposed Sturm–Liouville–Langevin quantum boundary value problem (q-FBVP). Two examples are presented to show the validity and also the effectiveness of theoretical results. In the last part of the paper, we conclude our exposition with some final remarks and observations.

AbstractRan and Reurings (Proc Am Math Soc 132(5):1435–1443, 2003) extended the Banach contraction principle to the setting of partially ordered metric spaces and recently Proinov (J Fixed Point Theory Appl 22:21, 2020) extended and unified many earlier fixed point theorems. In this paper we will present analogous results for the significantly wider class of mappings on preordered metric spaces. We give non-trivial examples of Kannan-type mappings.

In the present paper, we study a mathematical model of an imperfect testing infectious disease model in the sense of the Mittage-Leffler kernel. The Banach contraction principle has been used for the existence and uniqueness of solutions of the suggested model. Furthermore, a numerical method equipped with Lagrangian polynomial interpolation has been utilized for the numerical outcomes. Diagramming and discussion are used to clarify the effects of related parameters in the fractional-order imperfect testing infectious disease model.

Abstract This paper is devoted to study the existence and uniqueness of solutions of a one parameter family of nonlinear Riemann–Liouville fractional differential equations with mixed boundary value conditions. An exhaustive study of the sign of the related Green’s function is carried out. Under suitable assumptions on the asymptotic behavior of the nonlinear part of the equation at zero and at infinity, and by application of the fixed point theory of compact operators defined in suitable cones, it is proved that there exists at least one solution of the considered problem. Moreover, the method of lower and upper solutions is developed and the existence of solutions is deduced by a combination of both techniques. In particular cases, the Banach contraction principle is used to ensure the uniqueness of solutions.

The existence of solutions for a class of nonlinear neutral Hadamard-type fractional integro-differential equations with infinite delay is researched in this paper. By constructing an appropriate normed space and utilizing the Banach contraction principle, Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorem, we obtain some sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions. Finally, we provide an example to illustrate the validity of our main results.

After the establishment of the Banach contraction principle, the notion of metric space has been expanded to more concise and applicable versions. One of them is the conception of ℱ -metric, presented by Jleli and Samet. Following the work of Jleli and Samet, in this article, we establish common fixed points results of Reich-type contraction in the setting of ℱ -metric spaces. Also, it is proved that a unique common fixed point can be obtained if the contractive condition is restricted only to a subset closed ball of the whole ℱ -metric space. Furthermore, some important corollaries are extracted from the main results that describe fixed point results for a single mapping. The corollaries also discuss the iteration of fixed point for Kannan-type contraction in the closed ball as well as in the whole ℱ -metric space. To show the usability of our results, we present two examples in the paper. At last, we render application of our results.
