The International Conference PhysicA. SPb was held 18-22 October 2021 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Conference continues the tradition of St.Petersburg Seminars on Physics and Astronomy originating from mid-90s. Since then PhysicA.SPb maintains both scientific and educational quality of contributions delivered to the audience. This is the main feature of the Conference that makes it possible to combine the whole spectrum of modern Physics and Astronomy within one event. PhysicA. SPb/2021 has brought together over 400 academics from many universities and research institutes across whole Russia as well as from USA, UK, South Africa, Poland, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, and Australia. Oral and poster presentations were combined into well-defined sections among which one should name Astronomy and Astrophysics, Optics and spectroscopy, Physics of ferroics, Nanostructured and thin-film materials, Mathematical physics and numerical methods, Devices and materials for the THz and microwave ranges, Biophysics, Optoelectronic devices, Surface phenomena, Physics and technology of energy conversion, Plasma physics, hydrodynamics and aerodynamics, Nuclear and elementary particle physics, Impurities and defects in solids, Multilayered structures, Spectroscopy of atoms and molecules and Physics of quantum structures. This issue of the Journal of Physics: Conference Series presents the extended contributions from participants of PhysicA.SPb/2021 that were peer-reviewed by expert referees through processes administered by the Presiders of the Organising and Program Committees to the best professional and scientific standards. This was made possible by the efforts of the Sectional and Technical Editors of this Issue: Prof. Petr Arseev (Lebedev Physical Institute), Prof. Alexander Ivanchik (Ioffe Institute), Prof. Polina Ryabochkina (Ogarev Mordova State University), Prof. Yuri Kusraev (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Sergey Nekrasov (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Nikolay Bert (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Nikita Gordeev (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Alexey Popov (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Prokhor Alekseev (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Mikhail Dunaevskii (Ioffe Institute), Prof. Mikhail Nestoklon (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Andrey Dunaev (Orel State University), Prof. Anton Vershovskii (Ioffe Institute), Dr. Vadim Evtikhiev (Ioffe Institute), Prof. Alexey Ustinov (St.Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”), Dr. Alexandra Kalashnikova (Ioffe Institute), Prof. Ivan Mitropolsky (NRC Kurchatov Institute - PNPI), Dr. Evgenia Cherotchenko (Ioffe Institute) and Prof. Dmitry Khokhlov (Moscow State University). Experimental investigations of the emission spectrum of a CaO molecule behind the front of a reflected shock wave on a 50 mm diameter shock tube at the Ioffe Institute are carried out. The spectra were obtained using a compact spectrometer, as well as using a spectrometer based on an upgraded MDR-12 monochromator and a Sony SLT-A77 camera as a radiation detector. The emission spectra of CaO at different gas temperatures were obtained. The results can be used to test theoretical models of the emission spectrum of the CaO molecule at different temperatures.

A.V. Butko, V.Y. Butko, Y.A.Kumzerov Ioffe Institute, 194021, St. Petersburg, Russia Hybrid nanostructures with large interface between nanostructural elements play an important role in the modern electronics. Among these nanostructures are hybrid nanostructures formed at the interface of graphene with ensembles of molecular ions in the solution gated Graphene Field Effect Transistors (GFETs) that are promising for chemical and biological sensor fabrication. Therefore investigation of interfacial effects in electrical transport in these systems is interesting. This work is a theoretical study of dependence of the charge carrier mobility (µ) in these nanostructures on density of the interfacial molecular ions (Nii). We show that dependence µ~1/(Nii)^1/2 obtained in free charge carrier model with short range scattering in case of the weak interaction between the charge carriers and the interfacial ions is in agreement with experimental transistor characteristics obtained at the high gate voltages.

А. Ф. Иоффе. The paper considers the main possible applications of the technology for semiconductor material modification and correction of semiconductor device characteristics via high energy ion implantation. Features of the technological line and equipment for treatment of large diameter wafers have been discussed on the example of the Ioffe Institute cyclotron application.

Author: Ryzhov V.A. Ioffe Institute, St. Petersburg, 194021 Russia e-mail: [email protected] Abstract Experimental data on the effect of mechanical loading (tension and compression) of glassy polymethylmethacrylate and polyvinyl chloride on low-frequency IR and Raman spectra are obtained. Their analysis made it possible to detect absorption and scattering due to low-energy orientational excitations in a disordered polymer exposed to external influences. It was shown that these spectral data carry information on the molecular mechanisms of deformation and the relaxation dynamics of macromolecules. A possible scenario of the development of the initial stage of the deformation process is considered.
