We revisit regularity of SLE trace, for all $\unicode[STIX]{x1D705}\neq 8$, and establish Besov regularity under the usual half-space capacity parametrization. With an embedding theorem of Garsia–Rodemich–Rumsey type, we obtain finite moments (and hence almost surely) optimal variation regularity with index $\min (1+\unicode[STIX]{x1D705}/8,2)$, improving on previous works of Werness, and also (optimal) Hölder regularity à la Johansson Viklund and Lawler.

The paper presents well known autotuning model modified with statistic modelling in order to narrow a space of search for optimal variation of the program. Proposed method was applied to optimization of hybrid parallel sorting algorithm. Experiment results on multicore system are provided.

The HTPB-bonding system used for high-solid-containing PBX was optimizied by orthogonal experiment,and three major factors that were viscosity,hardness and curing time were confirmed as mian indexes for measuring properties of bonding system.The optimal variation range for viscosity,hardness and curing time was respectively 100~125 s,20~28 HC and 4~6 days.Through fitting experimental data,the equations of these three indexes were obtained and then changing laws of that were also studied.By sovling these equations,the best values of constitutions were obtained and formulations for bonding system with different plasticizers were optimized.

An algorithm is developed for the execution of motions on the CNC hypoid generating machine using the relations on the cradle-type machine. The algorithm is based on the condition that since the tool is a rotary surface and the pinion/gear blank is also related to a rotary surface, it is necessary to ensure the same relative position of the head cutter and the pinion on both machines. The algorithm is applied for the execution of motions on the CNC hypoid generator for the manufacture of spiral bevel gears, based on the machine-tool setting variation on the cradle-type hypoid generator conducted by optimal polynomial functions up to 5th order. By using the corresponding computer program, the motion graphs of the CNC hypoid generator are determined for the manufacture of spiral bevel gears based on the optimal variation of the velocity ratio in the kinematic scheme and of the cradle radial setting on a cradle-type generator.

A procedure for computing the optimal variation of the blades' pitch angle of an H-Darrieus wind turbine that maximizes its torque at given operational conditions is proposed and presented along with the results obtained on a 7 kW prototype. The CARDAAV code, based on the “Double-Multiple Streamtube” model developed by the first author, is used to determine the performances of the straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine. This was coupled with a genetic algorithm optimizer. The azimuthal variation of the blades' pitch angle is modeled with an analytical function whose coefficients are used as variables in the optimization process. Two types of variations were considered for the pitch angle: a simple sinusoidal one and one which is more general, relating closely the blades' pitch to the local flow conditions along their circular path. A gain of almost 30% in the annual energy production was obtained with the polynomial optimal pitch control.
