Background : Asthma Bronchiale is an obstruction of the respiratory tract due to narrowing of the airways that are reversible (narrowing can disappear by itself). But there are times when this reversible trait can be lost after getting treatment. Disorders arising from asthma bronchiale itself are shortness of breath, phlegm buildup, and spasms in the respiratory muscles. The therapy used in this case provides a nebulizer modality that helps relieve tightness and thin the sputum, infrared tries to relax reducing muscle spasm, and chest physiotherapy used to decrease breathlesness.           Research Methods : This research method is experimental, research design uses case studies, and data collection techniques use Pre and Post Test. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Examination of breathlesness by using the respiratory rate, thorax expansion by using midline and functional activity by using modified RPE. Result : The results obtained from this study can be concluded after 4 times intervention the breathlessness was decrease, expantion of thorax was increase and there are improve of index functional. Conclution : Nebulizer, Infra red, and chest physiotherapy that give into the patient could minimaze the breathless, increase thorax expantion  and inprove functional activity.

Coughing into body shape, occurs as a response from the body to irritation in the throat due to mucus, dust, smoke and air outside the body. Nebulizer is an alternative tool to relieve the cough response to the presence of mucus which is an inflammatory reaction due to infection in the respiratory tract. Mint oil in the form of extracts has a variety of esters, especially menthyl acetate and monoterpenes which produce a distinctive aroma that is beneficial for breathing. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of adding mint oil as a result of distillation on the liquid with the nebulizer in cough handling.       This study was a pre-experimental study with nonrandomized design pre test and post test with control group design which was used to determine the effect of the addition of mint oil as a result of distillation on the liquid with nebulizer to reduce the coughing status of the patient which included (cough frequency, onset of inflammation, wheezing, and ease of expectoration of phlegm).      The results showed that the cough frequency status is known to have decreased from 44.4% of patients to 23.5% of patients. Similarly, the status of inflammation decreased from 41.7% to 21.7%; wheezing status which was originally 58.3% decreased to 39.1%; easy  expectoration status also shows that mint oil can reduce the level of difficulty of phlegm to go out to 13% from 36.1%.

Lo scopo dello studio è stato determinare l’esistenza di una correlazione tra i segni di laringite da reflusso (RL) ed esofagite da reflusso (RE) in pazienti con sintomi da malattia da reflusso gastroesofageo (GORD). Durante l’esecuzione di esofagogastroduodenoscopie, sono state ottenute fotografie laringee, le quali sono state esaminate da otorinolaringoiatri esperti di reflusso extra-esofageo al fine di valutare la presenza e la gravità di RL. La presenza di RE, invece, è stata valutata dai gastroenterologi. Fumatori, alcolisti e pazienti con asma bronchiale sono stati esclusi dall’analisi statistica. Sono stati analizzati 681 pazienti. RL è stata diagnosticata in 367 (53,9%) pazienti, dei quali 182 avevano una forma lieve, 118 una forma moderata, e 67 una forma severa (Reflux Finding Score > 7). RE è stata diagnosticata in 103 (28,1%) pazienti con RL e in 80 (25,7%) pazienti senza RL. In merito alla presenza di RE, la differenza tra l’intero gruppo di pazienti con RL e quelli senza RL non è stata statisticamente significativa (OR 1.141, 95% CI 0.811-1.605, p = 0.448), e allo stesso modo non si sono rivelate statisticamente significative le differenze tra ciascuno dei sottogruppi di pazienti con RL lieve, moderata e severa, e quelli senza RL. L’OR e il 95% CI per RL lieve, moderata e severa sono stati rispettivamente i seguenti: 1.042, 95% CI 0.712-1.526, p = 0.834, 1.182, 95% CI 0.764-1.831, p = 0.453 and 1.0, 95% CI 0.566-1.766, p = 0.999. In conclusione, non è risultata nessuna correlazione tra RL e RE in pazienti con sintomi da malattia da reflusso gastroesofageo.

Asma Bronchial adalah penyakit inflamasi obstruktif yang ditandai oleh periode episodik spasme otot-otot polos dalam dinding saluran udara bronchial (spasme bronkus). Spasmebronkus itu menyempitkan jalan nafas, sehingga membuat pernafasan menjadi sulit dan menimbulkan bunyi mengi. Tahun 2006, jumlah penderita asma diperkirakan mencapai 300 juta orang di dunia, angka ini diperkirakan akan terus meningkat 400 juta orang pada 2025. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengaruh nebulizer, infra red dan chest therapy terhadap penderita asma bronchial. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pasien penderita asma bronchiale. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan seluruh populasi, yaitu sebanyak 8 pasien yang secara keseluruhan diambil sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data didapat dari pemeriksaan Sesak Napas dengan skala borg. Skala Borg sebagai pemeriksaan sesak nafas. Hasil uji t menunjukkan Sig. = 0,000 (<0,05), maka Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Hal ini berarti sesa nafas sesudah dan sebelum tindakan nebulizer, infra red dan chest therapy tidak  sama. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Nebulizer, infra red dan Chest Therapy dapat mengurangi sesak nafas pada penderita asma bronchial.
