Estimation of changes in the microclimatic parameters of beech forests of the Stilsky Hillside, by measuring the water-temperature indicators of the soil regime and bryoindication, were performed. Fragmentation of forest causes significant changes in microclimatic parameters in bondary habitats areas, which leads to both biodiversity loss and a decrease of the unchanged forest areas. In fragmented beech forests, the influence of the edge effect on the water-temperature regime of soils is observed within a distance of 20-40 meters, but the eco-floristic structure of nemoral moss vegetation is stabilized only at a distance from 160 m. Thus, bryobiontes are a shown to be a sensitive marker of the microclimatic regime changes in a fragmented ecosystem. In the studied beeches Metzgeria furcata, Radula complanata, Anomodon attenuatus, A. viticulosus, Cirriphyllum crassinervium are indicators of the "interior forest". The determined amplitude of the edge effect indicates the fragmentation as a crucial factor on the small areas of forest and its role in the loss of climate-sensitive groups of biota, primarily mosses.

Abstract The article presents the results of studies of the temperature regime of the Daginsky thermal springs. Daginsky thermal springs are the most famous and visited on Sakhalin Island (Russia). In the fall of 2019, their reconstruction and arrangement of the surrounding landscape began. As a result of the reconstruction of the main thermal springs, their hydrological and temperature regime was violated, the water temperature dropped. In 2020, in the springs most popular with visitors (Aleksandrovsky, Tsentralny, Mechta), the temperature became several degrees lower, which led to the termination of their use. In 2021, after the completion of the design of the spring bath and the surrounding area, the temperatures increased. In April 2021, the temperature of the Patriot spring was 40.5 °C, the Partizan spring 38–39 °C, the Central spring 36–39 °C, the Aleksandrovsky spring 34.6–36.0 °C, the Mechta spring 34.4 °C (at the bottom up to 45.5 °C), Molodost spring 35 °C (at the bottom up to 37–41.3 °C).

Purpose. To investigate the peculiarities of obtaining ovulated eggs of the Siberian sturgeon in hatchery conditions in non-traditional (winter) period and determine major features of brood fish used for the experiments. Methodology. The material for the study were age-10+ Siberian sturgeon females with body weights of 6.20-8.24 kg grown in conditions of floating cages in a water body with natural temperature regime of the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. The experiments were conducted with a regulated water temperature regime in the third decade of January with the use of natural gonadotropic drugs for the stimulation of egg maturation in fish. Brood fish were prepared for the experiment in the recirculating aquaculture system. Measurement of fisheries parameters and study of physicochemical factors of the aquatic medium were performed according to generally accepted methods. Experiment results were assessed statistically using standard software. Findings. With water temperature of 14-15оС, depending on the dosage of the gonadotropic drug, different efficiencies of gonad maturation in experimental groups of fish were detected. More than 85% of females matured after dosing of gonadotropic drugs 3.5 and 4.5 mg / kg. In the version with a minimum dose of gonadotropic substance 2.5 mg / kg responded positively to hormonal stimulation 57% of females. The average weight of eggs obtained in some groups of brood fish was 819.5-1079.0 g. Average working fecundity and relative working fecundity in experimental groups of the Siberian sturgeon females varied within 47.95-52.64 thousand eggs and 6.93-7.17 thousand eggs/kg of fish body weight, respectively. The duration of maturation after the second (resolving) administration of the gonadotropic drug until the moment of the occurrence of the ovulation process varied mainly within 15-20 hours. Originality. The peculiarities of obtaining mature eggs of the Siberian sturgeon with the use of methods of industrial reproduction of sturgeons, which are new for the aquaculture of Ukraine, were studied. Practical value. The study results are of interest for the development of modern methods of sturgeon aquaculture in conditions of fish farms of industrial type. It was revealed that Gibel carp, Carassius gibelio (Bloch, 1782) spawning phenology is determined by regular patterns of variability in temperature and precipitation over the period of time after spawning in the previous year. The sensitivity to temperature of water as a stimulus to spawning was shown as being dependent on the characteristics of the environment and fish development trajectories over the previous year. Information about fish spawning was collected in the Dnipro-Orylskiy Nature Reserve in the following locations: Nikolayev system of water bodies, River Protoch system and the Obukhov floodplain, the channel of the River Dnipro, water bodies of the Taromske ledge. The materials that formed the basis of this research were collected from the waters of the reserve in the years 1997–2018. There are dependencies between the air and water temperatures that have their own characteristics depending on the type of water body. These dependencies are described by a logistic equation. The temperature regime in water bodies of the Taromske ledge is very similar to the temperature regime of Nikolayev system of water bodies. The difference is that the spring period of the temperature increase in water bodies of the Taromske ledge comes earlier – in late February – early March. The air temperature dynamics over the year is described by the fourth degree polynomial. The residuals of the polynomial regression for each year were subjected to principal component analysis. The principal component analysis allowed us to identify 8 principal components of the temperature regimes, which together describe 59.2% of the variation of the residual of the polynomial trend. Deviations from the linear trend of the precipitation are systematic throughout the year, reflecting the uneven nature of rainfall during the year. The residuals of linear trend regression models of cumulative precipitation can be used as indicators of the dynamics characteristic of precipitation during the year. The residuals were used for principal component analysis, which revealed that the dynamics of the precipitation can be divided into five orthogonal principal components. The first five principal components explain 82.6% of the feature space variation. The timing of the onset of C. gibelio spawning in 95% of cases occurs on the 113–139th days of the year (on average, it takes place on the 125th day). Regression analysis revealed that the climate principal components and types of the lake systems can explain 79% of the variation in the timing of the onset of C. gibelio spawning. The water temperature at the time of C. gibelio spawning was exposed to natural dynamics in year aspect. The local minimum of the onset of spawning temperatures occured in the mid 2000s. Total of 69% of the water temperature variation at which spawning begins can be described by climatic predictors and water biotope types. The variation explained by some temperature principal components may be increased considerably after including as covariates such variables as the precipitation principal component and the biotope type. This principal component which represents the high frequency variation of the air temperature regime with a characteristic period 20 and 45 days has the highest explanation ability of all the components and is a constant explanatory predictor for all considered spawning characteristics.

The occurrence of sporophytes of Chorda tomentosa and C. filum in the southern Gulf of St. Lawrence was correlated with the field temperature regime. Temperature tolerances of gametophytes and young sporophytes of both species were tested in culture, using isolates from both the gulf and the outer Atlantic coast of Nova Scotia. Chorda tomentosa sporophytes appeared in late winter when the water surface was frozen, were fertile from April to June, and died when water temperature approached 20 °C. In culture, sporophytes tolerated −1 to 15 but became moribund at 20 °C. Gametophytes in constant temperature reproduced readily at 5 °C, occasionally at 0 and 10 °C, but not at higher temperatures; they survived to 24 °C. After 6 months in dim light at 10 °C some gametophytes also released gametes at 15 °C. Sporophytes of C. filum appeared in the field in spring after the water temperature had risen above 1 °C and persisted through the warm months. New sporophytes appeared in the autumn after the water temperature dropped below 15 °C but did not survive the winter. In culture, sporophytes died at −1 and 28 °C and survived between 0 and 24 °C. Gametophytes reproduced readily from 5 to 12, rarely at 0 and 15 °C, and not at higher temperatures. Gametophytes of both species survived 5 months in 0 ± 2 °C, [Formula: see text].
