Electro-conductive paths that are mechanically resistant and stable during simulated aging cycles are promising, in relation to the non-invasive application in e-textiles in our everyday surroundings. In the paper, an analysis of the influence of electro-conductive filler, as well as ionic liquid on surface resistance is provided. Authors proved that depending on the tested variant, obtained surface resistance may vary from 50 kΩ (when 50 phr of Ag and [bmim][PF6] ionic liquid applied) to 26 GΩ (when 25 phr of Ag and [bmim][PF6] ionic liquid applied). The samples were also evaluated after simulated aging cycles and the stability of electric properties was confirmed. Moreover, it was proved that the addition of ionic liquids reduced the resistance of vulcanizates, while no significant influence of the extrusion process on conductivity was observed.

The structure of the thin liquid films determines the stability of foams and emulsions. In this work the bubbles stretched length with different hollow SiO2 particles concentration is measured when the foam has been stilled for different time. The results show that the bubbles stretched length is longer than that of bubbles when the foam is free of hollow SiO2 particles even when the foam has been stilled for 500mins. The bubbles stretched length increases with increasing the concentration of hollow SiO2 particles. A strong hydration effect leaves a large volume of hydration layers on the solid particles surfaces in aqueous solutions. The water in hydration layers can help the film keep a certain thickness. The existence of hydration forces leads that two particles cannot be too close each other. The high concentration surfactant limited in the fixed area helps the film keep good elasticity. Therefore the film has a long life time with compatible thickness and elasticity and the three-phrase foam is upper stable.

The present paper discusses the investigation of electronic properties of anthracene-based single electron transistor (SET) operating in coulomb blockade region using Density Functional Theory (DFT) based Atomistix toolkit-Virtual nanolab. The charging energies of anthracene molecule in isolated as well as electrostatic SET environments have been calculated for analyzing the stability of the molecule for different charge states. Study also includes the analysis of SET conductance dependence on source/drain and gate potentials in reference to the charge stability diagram. Our computed charging energies for anthracene in isolated environment are in good agreement with the experimental values and the proposed anthracene SET shows good switching properties in comparison to other acene series SETs.

The stability factors for Cr6+ and Cr3+ in microbiological media, including temperature, preservation conditions and medium components were studied in this research project, through potassium permanganate oxidation and DPC (Diphenylcarbazide) spectrophotometry. It shows that the protein component mainly influences Cr6+ content changes at pre- and post- heat sterilization to the chromium ionic liquid medium, other than being impacted basically by inorganic salt ions. It also indicates that the method can be introduced into experiment researches for microbe dechromisation i.e. Chromium ion aqueous solution and fluid medium are sterilized separately, and then are made into the chrome ions liquid as per a certain concentration. The concentration of hexavalent chromium ions is affected by preservation time and temperature also. For this reason, chromium ionic liquid medium is kept at low temperature, and as quickly as possible for the test.

Six burner/furnace systems which operated successfully without vibration are evaluated for resistance to thermoacoustic oscillations. The evaluation is based on the Rijke and Sondhauss models representing the combined burner/furnace (cold/hot) thermoacoustic systems. Frequency differences between the lowest vulnerable furnace acoustic frequencies in the burner axial direction and those of the systems’ Rijke and Sondhauss frequencies are evaluated to check for resonances. Most importantly, the stability of the Rijke and Sondhauss models is checked against the published design stability diagram of Eisinger [1] and Eisinger and Sullivan [2]. It is shown that the resistance to thermoacoustic oscillations is adequately defined by the published design stability diagram to which the evaluated cases generally adhere. Once the system falls into the stable range, the frequency differences or resonances appear to play only a secondary role. It is concluded, however, that in conjunction with stability, the primary criterion, sufficient frequency separations shall also be maintained in the design process to preclude resonances. The paper provides sufficient details to aid the design engineers.
