Abstract: The demand for multi-storey buildings is increasing day by day. Residential plus commercial building is mainly used for wide span needs. Wide span required for Flat slab, Waffle slab and ribbed slab stands An excellent option for architects when larger openings in a building need to be covered with as few columns as possible. The use of different types of plates is developing as a new trend and is becoming a major challenge for structural engineers. Therefore, it is necessary to study about its structural behavior. The project is carried out under earthquake zone III under the earthquake analysis of G+9 storey building. For this study, four different types of large span slab structure are modelled in C-shape (Horizontal Setback Building) having 10-stories i.e. G+9 storied buildings with 3.50 meters height for each story is modelled and analysed. The plan area of all four buildings is same i.e. 2859 square meters (49.50 m x 82.50 m) each. These buildings were designed in compliance with the Indian Code of Practices for earthquake resistant design of buildings. Base of the building were fixed. The square sections are used for structural elements. The height of the buildings is considered constant throughout the structure. The buildings are modelled using ETABSvr.2016. Abstract: The tube in tube structure is one of the type that is been broadly used as structural system for tall structures. Considering the lateral loads due to the seismic force it gives more stiffness and gives more strength to the high-rise structures. Lateral loads are shared between the inner and outer tubes our aim is to make the structure stiff by its connectivity and comparing them by providing drops to the waffle. By adding tube in tube to the flat slab and waffle slab, concept is they both does not have the beams such that to know the comparison of both the models. This both models have been designed using e-tabs software and the dimensions, limitations are been taken from the provision Indian standard code book. VicRoads, the road authority for the state of Victoria, Australia, has been undertaking extensive research into the load capacity and performance of cast-in-place reinforced concrete flat slab bridges. One of the key objectives of this research is the development of analytical tools that can be used to better determine the performance of these bridges under loadings to the elastic limit and subsequently to failure. The 59-year-old Barr Creek Bridge, a flat slab bridge of four short continuous spans over column piers, was made available to VicRoads in aid of this research. The static testing program executed on this bridge was therefore aimed at providing a comprehensive set of measurements of its response to serviceability level loadings and beyond. This test program was preceded by the performance of a dynamic test (a simplified experimental modal analysis using vehicular excitation) to establish basic structural properties of the bridge (effective flexural rigidity, EI) and the influence of the abutment supports from identification of its dynamic modal characteristics. The dynamic test results enabled a reliably tuned finite element model of the bridge in its in-service condition to be produced for use in conjunction with the static testing program. The results of the static testing program compared well with finite element modeling predictions in both the elastic range (serviceability loadings) and the nonlinear range (load levels taken to incipient collapse). Observed collapse failure modes and corresponding collapse load levels were also found to be predicted well using yield line theory.
