Cryptography is a technique or method for securing data from other unauthorized parties. The substitution algorithm is the simplest algorithm and is classified as a classic in the field of cryptography, for example the Caesar cipher algorithm. ASCII code (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) is a code that contains characters that can be processed by a computer. By type, not all ASCII characters can be printed by the computer. Some characters are not printed or illegible as usual. These unreadable characters are called control characters. The control character can be used to improve the performance of the Caesar Cipher algorithm, because it focuses on processing text data. The application of control characters uses a simple method but has a complex solution. The results of this study are in the form of a new method with the Caesar cipher algorithm as a classical cryptographic method or technique and ASCII characters as the basis for the development of the ciphertext performance resulting from the encryption process. In testing this method, the success rate reaches 100% in securing the contents of the document with a sample of 500 letters. While the possibility of solving the ciphertext results is classified as difficult because the control characters of the ciphertext results that are illegible will make the decryption result multiple interpretations.

AbstractIn order to improve the temperature and shear resistance of fracturing fluid, a kind of nano-zirconium-boron crosslinker, which is different from the traditional zicral-boron crosslinker, is prepared using 4wt% borax, 50 v/v% glycerol, 8 v/v% triethanolamine and 40 v/v % acetylacetone as raw materials, and its chemical structure is characterized of by infrared spectroscopy and its performance, such as viscoelasticity, temperature and shear resistance and gel breaking property, have also been evaluated. The results show that firstly the elastic modulus of the fracturing system is much larger than the viscous modulus at frequency of 0.1–10 Hz, indicating that the fluid is a typical structural fluid. Secondly the fracture fluid crosslinked by nano-zirconium-boron crosslinker is sheared at 180 °C, 170 s−1 for 2 h, and the viscosity is maintained above 60 mPa.s. Finally viscoelasticity, gel breaking property and damage evaluation also meet the requirements of national standard code for Chinese. Analysis of the temperature resistance mechanism of the HPG fracturing fluid crosslinked by nano-zirconium-boron crosslinker shows that its connecting lines are thicker and stronger to make the fracturing fluid have better temperature and shear resistance.

In an extensive research scenario, the self-compacting concrete influence a major role in the advanced construction technology which gives the higher impact on its strength and durability of the structure, for its assessment there were various types of physical and chemical testing techniques are available. In this article the work represents the compressive strength of self-compacting concrete in various temperature testing like 200o C and 400 o C with the consideration of 100% cement and different mix proportion of admixtures for the replaceable of cement like Fly-ash with 30% and 15% and GGBFS 30% and 15% and the addition of polypropylene fibre with 1% and 2% with all of its mix proportion. The fundamental tests of the concrete are performed as per the Indian Standard code. The results indicate that an enhancement of compressive strength at the maximum optimized temperature.

Abstract In India, the experience in the use of concrete in housing is more than seven decades old. Concrete mix is a combination of cement, water and aggregates of sand and stone. The relative merits of using 33, 43 & 53 grades of cement in the nominal and design concrete mixes are studied, by testing to destruction hundreds of cubes, cylinders and prisms made using these three grades of cement, the concrete mix having been designed as per the relevant Indian Standard code of practice. The objective of this paper is to make awareness among researchers, engineers and the public about the latest scientific and technical developments in cement, and how to achieve economy in concrete. The foremost objective of concrete mix design is to hand-pick the optimum proportions of various ingredients of the concrete to satisfy the required properties in its fresh and hardened state. As per the investigation, if concrete mixes are designed for different grades adopting separately 33, 43, & 53 grades of cements, grade 53 gives the highest 28 days cube strength, whereas 33 grade cement gives the lowest value. The relative cost of using these three grades is also discussed in the paper.

Abstract: Elevated water tank is used for storage of water which is used for distribution to the public at certain pressure head. In high seismic zones the safety of water tank becomes point of great concern which in case of failure becomes very hazardous for public because of deficiency of water for public use and difficulty in putting fire away caused by earthquake. The water tank must be designed as much strong so that it can perform during and after earthquake without failing. The aim of this study is to design the elevated water tank as per Indian standard code and European standard code on ETABS software. In this study an elevated circular water tank of 35 m3 capacity is being designed in seismic zone III as per IS code and spectrum zone II as per Euro code for hard soil, medium soil and soft soil conditions. During analysis of tank the values of base moment, base shear, storey displacement and storey drift is being obtained and compared in both seismic zones for hard soil, medium soil and soft soil. Keywords: base shear, base moment, ETABS, elevated water tank.

Abstract: The tube in tube structure is one of the type that is been broadly used as structural system for tall structures. Considering the lateral loads due to the seismic force it gives more stiffness and gives more strength to the high-rise structures. Lateral loads are shared between the inner and outer tubes our aim is to make the structure stiff by its connectivity and comparing them by providing drops to the waffle. By adding tube in tube to the flat slab and waffle slab, concept is they both does not have the beams such that to know the comparison of both the models. This both models have been designed using e-tabs software and the dimensions, limitations are been taken from the provision Indian standard code book. Keywords: High-rise building, tube in tube, Response spectrum analysis.

Mubadala Petroleum (pipeline operator) responded to a pig stuck in a 312 km subsea gas pipeline. A bi-di pig was found to be stuck and after being rescued, the bi-di pig discs were found to be dented. An investigation and assessment are conducted to found what causes pig stuck, to solve the issue of a pig stuck, and to execute all the processes during pipeline operation as effectively and safest way as possible. The investigation started by defining what makes dented bi-di pigs, is an object inside the pipeline or pipeline deformation. A series of conformity techniques are applied by calculation to predict exact pig stuck location, using the backpressure method. A series of inspections were conducted from simple to complex way. From a smart pig that resulted from pig damage to side-scan sonar (SSS) inspection, and visual inspection at predicted location due to cost and time limit. The result is the investigation and assessment process to find dent location within 312 km seabed are executed in a time effective and cost reduced way, under 2 years for all activity for technical process and field execution duration. The sequence also escalating from lowest cost and easiest methods (engineering calculation) to the highest and more complex methods and cost (inspection and survey). The accurate result of prediction confirmed by the dent location and damages at KP 111.89 and 30 meters water depth. The investigation methodology also complies with the requirement of regulation, company specs, standard/code, and engineering best practices. The benefits of this paper are as a reference to conduct series of pipeline damage investigations for a long-distance and remote subsea pipeline. The investigation sequence can apply to many cases with accurate prediction to reduce investigation cost, time, complexity, and risk.
