ABSTRACT: Class discussion is frequently used in accounting education. Prior research indicates that preparation for and frequency of participation in class discussion is positively related to students’ comfort participating. This study extends this literature by examining the relationship between class participation and learning. In this study, 323 sophomore business students enrolled in accounting courses and completed pre- and post-course surveys concerning their perceptions about class discussion; in addition, instructors provided students’ grades for our use in this study. Path model results indicate that preparation is positively related to frequency of participation, which, in turn, is positively related to students’ comfort participating in class discussion. Furthermore, students’ comfort participating in class discussion is positively related to learning. A practical implication of this finding on the learning-comfort relationship is that instructors’ efforts to foster student comfort with class discussion—especially efforts directed at increasing their preparation and participation frequency—should lead to increased student mastery of course content.

Bombings are traditionally associated with anarchism. Through a brief comparative survey, Chapter 3 explains that while this was a lethal weapon of struggle used by anarchists in Spain and France, the same was not the case for the bombings perpetrated by their Italian comrades. Spanish and French anarchists bombed activities and locations that attracted large numbers of people, especially members of the bourgeoisie. In contrast, instead of an abstract class enemy, Italian anarchists (in whatever country they struck) bombed buildings or targeted specific personalities along with tangible symbols of state power and repressive policies. The determination to strike those held responsible for repressive policies led to two attentats: Paolo Lega’s attempt on Prime Minister Francesco Crispi’s life followed by Sante Caserio’s assassination of the president of France, Marie Francois Sadi Carnot.

In recent years, the idea that somatic processes are intimately involved in actions traditionally considered to be purely mental has come to the fore. In particular, these arguments have revolved around the concept of somatic markers, i.e., bodily states that are generated by mind and then reperceived and acted upon. This chapter considers the somatic marker hypothesis and related ideas from the point of view of postclassical computation, i.e., the view that computing can be seen as a property of things-in-the-world rather than of an abstract class of mathematical machines. From this perspective, a number of ideas are discussed: the idea of somatic markers extending into the environment, an analogy with hardware interlocks in complex computer-driven systems, and connections with the idea of “just-do-it” computation.

This article presents three types of (inter)active learning pedagogical tools to better prepare future administrators for complex, real-world tasks. We propose a framework of narrative linearity and responsiveness to examine digital cases, digital simulations, and clinical simulations as bridging pedagogies from abstract class-based methods to fully immersive internships. We illustrate how these characteristics influence learner interaction with the rich, hypothetical contexts these tools offer. A specific example is presented for each tool, and their cognitive demands on the learner are discussed. We raise implications for their use at the course and program levels.

Disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan kontekstual menggunakan media gambar binatang dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mendeskripsi secara tertulis siswa kelas II SDN Punik Abstract:  Class Action Research 3 cycles consisting of planning, observation, evaluation, and reflection stages with the aim to know whether the application of contextual approach using animal image media can improve the skill of descripting in writing the second grade students of SDN Punik using observation method, interview, documentation, and test . The result of cycle I is 10 out of 22 students complete or 45.4% achievement, cycle II is 13 of 22 students complete 59% achievement, cycle III that is 19 out of 22 students complete atua achievement 86.3%. It is concluded that the contextual approach using animal image media can improve the skill of descripting in writing the students of class II SDN Punik

Abstract. Class Antagonism and Class Consciousness In Novel Human Earth Works Pramoedya Ananta Toer (Marxist Theory Approach). The purpose of this study was to: (1) Describe the picture of class conflict in the novel Earth of Mankind by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. (2) Describe the class consciousness of the Earth Novel Human Pramoedya Ananta Toer. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The data used in this study a sentence or paragraph that contains a picture of class conflict and class consciousness that is present in Earth's novel Man Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Data collected by reading techniques and note techniques. Based on this analysis we can conclude several things, namely: (1) the class antagonism is one form of fraud against human values, because in it there is oppression, deprivation, injustice and lack of freedom the Proletariat. The bourgeoisie has caused many problems of humanity. The conflict that led to the conflict between Native people are Nyai Ontosoroh as the Proletariat by Europeans as the bourgeoisie. (2) Nyai and Minke has been trying hard to fight against the bourgeoisie. However, not all desirable things can be owned and not all desired can be realized even with maximum effort. A struggle not only be seen from the results, but can be seen as a long process that forms an inner personality.

Recommender system applied various techniques and prediction algorithm to predict user interest on information, items and services from the tremendous amount of available data on the internet. Recommender systems are now becoming increasingly important to individual users, businesses and specially e-commerce for providing personalized recommendations. Recommender systems have been evaluated and improved in many, often incomparable, ways. In this paper, we review the evaluation and improvement techniques for improving overall performance of recommendation systems and proposing a semantic analysis based approach for clustering based collaborative filtering to improve the coverage of recommendation. The basic algorithm or predictive model we use are – simple linear regression, k-nearest neighbours(kNN), naives bayes, support vector machine. We also review the pearson correlation coefficient algorithm and an associative analysis-based heuristic. The algorithms themselves were implemented from abstract class recommender, which was extended from weka distribution classifier class. The abstract class adds prediction method to the classifier.
