This paper studies the electric-drive mechanical transmission-EMT which integrates motor and mechanical transmission system. The system follows the principle of power-train integration, the paper uses the CATIA software for virtual manufacturing and assembling, through the written simulation program, using Matlab software transmission to design module simulation studying of the institution, to verify that the three grades EMT system is better in efficiency and fuel economy performance, to provide theoretical research guidance for the product designing.

The power performance and the fuel economy are both the important indexes of the automobile. To designing a certain vehicle, when the total weight, distribution of the load and the tyres are specified, in traditional ways, it needs to do a lot of the dynamic calculation work and numerous experiments to get the parameters of proper engine and power train. This paper, Based on mathematical model, the simulation for automobile power performance and economy is designed. The calculation on actual vehicle is taken with this software and calculated values are in good agreement with the practical data. The analysis of influence of some chief factors on automobile power performance and fuel economy is carried out, which can provide the reference guide for automobile design.

The issue of increasing the fuel cost effectiveness of passenger commercial vehicles is one of the most important, since the annual increase in the fuel cost leads to an increase in the fixed costs of not only transport companies, but also of small- and medium-sized businesses. Using a hybrid power train (HPT) can reduce fuel consumption in the urban cycle, which is important for commercial vehicles used to deliver goods and passengers within the city limits, especially when megacities are involved, where traffic is heavy and average speeds are not high. The cost of cars with a hybrid power train, such as Toyota Prius, Lexus RX 450h, Ford Fusion Hybrid and others, remains quite high and does not allow to pay back the car only due to fuel economy. On the other hand, the configuration of these vehicles does not allow them to be used as a commercial vehicle for transporting small loads and passengers, Therefore, it is proposed to consider the option of converting a car with a gasoline engine and calculate the possible fuel economy.

The result show that automobile power performance and fuel economy and emission performance have been greatly improved

A new hybrid electric tracked bulldozer composed of an engine generator, two driving motors, and an ultracapacitor is put forward, which can provide high efficiencies and less fuel consumption comparing with traditional ones. This paper first presents the terramechanics of this hybrid electric tracked bulldozer. The driving dynamics for this tracked bulldozer is then analyzed. After that, based on analyzing the working characteristics of the engine, generator, and driving motors, the power train system model and control strategy optimization is established by using MATLAB/Simulink and OPTIMUS software. Simulation is performed under a representative working condition, and the results demonstrate that fuel economy of the HETV can be significantly improved.
