The 21st history of the Qur`an sees the scripture’s contiguity with the social media technology. This paper discusses the hermeneutical configuration of the Qur`an commentary in social media, not as religious phenomena in sociological or anthropological perspective, but rather as a study of the history of exegesis. The inquiry addresses two points: the character of the Qur’an commentary presented in Facebook within the context of the modern Qur’anic commentary and the effects it carries out. The paper suggests that digital hermeneutics emerges as the step forward for popularizing commentary with its simple and straightforward presentation. Accordingly, people are now closer to Qur`anic interpretation than ever before, and therefore the upsurge of semantic function of the Qur`an is observed. At the same time, digital hermeneutics marks the phenomena of equality and democratization of participation in hermeneutical activity and the challenge on authority.[Sejarah Al-Quran abad ke-21 ditandai dengan perkawinan kitab suci ini dengan teknologi sosial media. Paper ini mendiskusikan bangunan hermeneutis tafsir Al-Quran di sosial media, bukan sebagai fenomena keberagamaan dalam nuansa sosiologis dan antropologis, melainkan sebagai studi sejarah tafsir. Ada dua hal yang dikaji: tentang karakter tafsir Al-Quran yang muncul di Facebook dalam konteks tafsir modern dan pengaruh yang dimunculkannya. Diskusi ini menyimpulkan bahwa digital hermeneutics muncul sebagai kelanjutan dari tafsir populer dengan penampilannya yang sederhana dan lugas. Oleh sebab itu, orang-orang saat ini menjadi semakin dekat dengan penafsiran Al-Quran, dan meningkatnya fungsi semantik Al-Quran menjadi jelas terlihat. Social Media significantly contributed to the information flow during the Arab Spring, the Occupy and Wall Street movement continue to maintain a global online presence using social media technology. But is the social media information explosion really a unique event in media history? How did story telling evolve into social media? In order to place social media in its historical context and anticipate digital native expectations, we explore the origins of narrative and storytelling from the perspective of a documentary producer. How did past media technologies prepare the way for social media? How do digital natives perceive the world via social media and what do they expect from today's documentary producer? What are the viewing habits of digital natives? What do previous ‘information explosions' have in common with social and digital media? These are essential questions for media and documentary producers navigating their way through the vast maze of social media technology and the semantic web, in addition to traditional media.

This study explores the changing students’ habit update status in social media into update chapter to increase their achievement in English. It is a learning strategy in English language teaching and learning using social media technology. The aim is to motivate students more active to read their literature and then share and discuss their reading in social media. The students not only have to update their chapter in reading, but also have to give comment or respond to their friends update. So, this strategy makes the students discuss their lesson more than usual. This study uses questioner and documentation technic to collect the data. Based on the data, it is known that students are already using social media for purposes that include the social and the educational. Update chapter make them using this technology in class/after class. Social media brings learning outside the classroom autonomous, independent, motivational and fun. Therefore, the students‘achievement in English language teaching and learning also increases significant.

<p>Social media such as Facebook has become an essential strategic tool for organisations. Facebook is a platform where a large pool of consumers would use to make purchase decisions. Organisations are designing and maintaining their Facebook account to expand their social networks and build relationships with the public. This research explains current situations regarding the influence of online social media technology with reference to Facebook on employees' work performance in Malaysia. The problem statement focuses on both the public and private sectors in Malaysia. Additionally, various literature was reviewed, indicating the relationship between social media (usage at work, sociability, and trust) and work performance. The mediating role of the organisational framework on the relationship between online social media technology (Facebook) and work performance was also scrutinised to formulate the research hypothesis. The findings of this research established a significant relationship between online social media (Facebook) and organisational framework and work performance. Conclusively, the hypothesis depicted that the organisational framework fully mediates the relationship between online social media technology (Facebook) and employees' work performance in public and private sectors in Malaysia. This study also verifies that both the public and private sector organisations that incorporate Facebook can enhance networking and information sharing, influencing employees' work performance, creating a stable organisational framework, generating value for customers, and improving employee relationships with all stakeholders. In conclusion, work performance can be heightened by a well planned and structured organisational framework. This study seeks to examine the exponential growth of social media technology as a key component in recent American political campaigning, as well as its use and impact on the larger disciplines of marketing and branding. Adopting the approach of a case study with the focus firmly on the current American president, Barack Obama, the study identifies the key media and technologies used in the build-up to the 2008 American presidential elections in order to unpack and understand how such media channels, technological platforms and patterns were successfully utilised. References are also made to the concepts of ‘branding’ and ‘super branding’ in the discussion, and to the myriad ways in which social media has helped create and roll-out what has since become commonly known as ‘brand Obama’. To provide a framework for the discussion and in order to further understand the rapid growth and proliferation of social media on the political campaigning landscape, a comparison is made with the 2004 American presidential election campaign. This, it is posited, will assist us understand the drivers of new media technologies especially as they are used to create and impact positively on the growth of political super brands.
