This article illustrates different methods of calculating average areal precipitation, especially Thieseen polygon method and its modified method: percentage weighted polygon method.it compares various conditions of application and gives some suggestions for further study about areal precipitation estimation.

Territory size is an important ecological attribute of populations that has been considered a factor determines population density. Antbirds is a large group of mainly insectivorous Neotropical passerines, usually well represented in bird communities from forested landscapes in Neotropical region. Territory sizes for three Antbirds, Thamnophilus caerulescens (Vieillot, 1816) (Variable Antshrike), Dysithamnus mentalis (Temmink, 1823) (Plain Antvireo) e Pyriglena leucoptera (Vieillot, 1818) (White-shouldered Fire-eye), were mapped and their area estimated by the convex polygon method in a 50 ha forest fragment, in southeastern Brazil. The three species presented small territories of similar sizes (< 2 ha) both during the non-reproductive and the reproductive seasons of 2000-2001. Territories overlapped considerably among species but not intraspecifically. Territory sizes increased with body mass of the three species studied (P. leucoptera > T. caerulescens > D. mentalis). We failed to find any effect on territory size for the three species associated with forest edge or distance to the dirt road.

The annual groundwater recharge and discharge of aquifer of the Sapahar and Porsha Upazillas is estimated by Thiessen polygon method varies from 106.41 to 244 Mm3 and 93.77 to 291 Mm3 respectively. The calculated groundwater recharge of aquifer of the study area shows that the rate of groundwater recharge of aquifer in Porsha Upazilla is higher than that of Sapahar Upazilla and is characterized by very suitable groundwater storage potential. The overall groundwater balance study in the study area indicates that there exists a balance between annual recharge and withdrawal up to 1993 but after period of 1993 discharge exceeds the recharge continuing till today. But hereforth a cumulative annual deficit is found to exist because of progressive annual discharge in Sapahar Upazilla. 23.99 to 42.08 Mm3 of groundwater is discharged by discharging mechanisms. ABSTRACT The rare Amazonian snake Eutrachelophis papilio is known from only five individuals, from four localities, belonging to its type-series, the more recent collected over 10 years ago. Here, we expand its distribution and describe its color in life for the first time. We also provide an estimate of its distribution area using the minimum convex polygon method and identify the values of anthropic pressure within its known distribution range with the Human Footprint Index. The new occurrence is located 291 km from the nearest known locality and its distribution is associated with pristine forests. Considering its rarity, and the absence of demographic and biological data, we suggest that the species should be classified as Data Deficient by IUCN criteria.

Construction of the Lumajang PDD campus building, the pilot of the Lumajang Community Community Academy began in 2017. The campus building will be built on 5.3 hectares of land located on Lumajang East Road. The process of building construction, will begin with measuring the boundary of the land by placing coordinates. This research was conducted in order to prepare the location or location of horizontal control points in preparation for the establishment of the Lumajang Community Community Academy campus building.The research method used in measuring coordinate points is the polygon method. Measurements were carried out in terrestrial surveys using theodolite devices. Theodolite devices are among the measurement target points, namely back-face. The measurement target points are located at the specified land boundary. The results of the study obtained a map of the distribution of horizontal control points on the boundaries of campus land and the installation of monuments

يُعد قاع الجفر التكتوني الأكبر في هضبة الأردن الجنوبية، ويحتل الجزء الأوسط من محافظة معان، وتبلغ مساحته 12400 كم²، ليشكل ما نسبته 37.7? من المساحة الكلية لمحافظة معان البالغة 32832 كم². وقد تشكل هذا الحوض نتيجة لسلسلة من الحركات التكتونية. وتُعد ظاهرة القيعان، ومناطق الانتشار المائي من أهم الأشكال الأرضية التي تميزه. والأهداف الأساسية لهذه الدراسة تمثلت في تحليل الخصائص الطبوغرافية، وتأثيرها على أنماط الأشكال الأرضية، وتقدير كمية الحصاد المائي في هذه المنطقة. وتم اشتقاق القيعان اعتماداً على الخريطة الطبوغرافية بمقياس 1: 50000، والصورة الفضائية لعام 2018وجاءت أبرز النتائج كما يلي: (1)- تميز التوزع الجغرافي للقيعان بالتركز في ثلاثة مناطق أساسية، على الرغم من انتشار القيعان على مساحة نسبتها 51% من مساحة منطقة الدراسة.(2)- تم اشتقاق 462 قاع جاف بمساحة قدرها 422.2كم²، والتي تُشّكل ما نسبته 3.4% من المساحة الكلية لمنطقة الدراسة، مع وجود اختلافات ذات دلالة في مساحاتها ما بين المساحة الصغيرة جداً حوالي 988,م² إلى الأكبر مساحة والمتمثلة بقاع الجفر والبالغة مساحتها250.1كم².(3)- أوضحت نتائج التحليل المكاني للقيعان أنها تتركز في المناطق ذات الارتفاعات ما بين 833-1047 م وبمتوسط ارتفاع 868.6م، وانحدار تراوح ما بين 0°-13°. Thiessen polygon method (4) تقدير معدل الأمطار المساحية الموزونة اعتماداً على نموذج معدل الأمطار للعام المطري 2016/2017 حوالي 6097.393 ملم، ومعدل عمق المياه في كافة القيعان حوالي 130.255 ملم خلال تلك السنة.

The materials of the article contain an integral assessment of the level of development of e-business on the example of the regions of the Volga Federal District (VFD). As a result of calculating the private and local ranks of the values of the selected criteria, fourteen polygons of the level of e-business development were built by the number of regions in the district. The results obtained make it possible to ascertain the existence of a high degree of heterogeneity of the VFD regions in terms of the level of e-business development. The leading regions include the Republic of Tatarstan, the Perm Territory, and the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The outsider regions - the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Mordovia and the Kirov region - are characterized by a low share of organizations that used the capabilities of the Intranet and Extranet in their activities, the lack of special software tools for managing sales of goods (works, services), limited use of software, in particular, ERP-, CRM and SCM-systems.

At the time of image processing where we only need a certain part of an image according to the needs called the Region of Interest (ROI), in order to obtain that, the processing is carried out in a cropping process. Cropping is mostly done by researchers, especially those who research in the field of image processing in order to do data processing on an image, the results of cropping process on an image are usually done to make it easier for researchers to focus on something that is needed only. In this study is to compare existing cropping methods to get a motif found in an image of West Sumatra songket fabric. In this study using the method of cropping rectangle, square, circle, ellipse, polygon and tested using the Matlab programming language. The results of comparison of 5 cropping methods for taking certain motifs on the songket image with 5 different songket image samples, shows that the best results are obtained by using the polygon method. Polygon method can reach certain coordinate points in a songket image, so that the results of cropping are better and other motives that are carried along during the cropping process can be reduced.

AbstrakAKinematika dan dinamika mesin melibatkan desain mesin atas dasar kebutuhan gerak mereka. Kombinasi bagian yang saling berhubungan memiliki gerakan yang pasti dan mampu melakukan pekerjaan yang berguna dapat disebut mesin. Mekanisme adalah komponen dari mesin yang terdiri dari dua atau lebih badan diatur sedemikian rupa sehingga gerakan satu memaksa gerakan yang lain. Desain kereta listrik otomotif (sejenis mesin) sangat  ditentukan oleh beberapa mekanisme, termasuk hubungan slider-engkol, cam dan follower hubungan, dan kereta gigi. Banyak mekanisme yang melibatkan gerak planar, gerak dalam satu pesawat atau di aset bidang sejajar. Kasus yang lebih umum, gerak spasial, berlaku untuk mekanisme di mana gerakan harus dijelaskan dalam tiga dimensi. Analisis kinematika dilakukan di bawah grafis pada umumnya, seperti metode poligon yang menangkap mekanisme dalam satu saat. Cara alternatif lain untuk masalah ini adalah melibatkan metode matematika. Solusi ini memberikan cara yang akurat dan tercepat karena didukung oleh teknologi komputer. Tujuan dari proyek ini adalah untuk menentukan rumus untuk posisi, kecepatan, dan pernyataan percepatan mesin gergaji dengan menggunakan Mathlab. Kata kunci: mekanisme, gerak (posisi, kecepatan dan percepatan), metode poligon AbstractKinematics and dynamics of machinery involve the design of machines on the basis of their motion requirements. A combination of interrelated parts having definite motions and capable of performing useful work may be called a machine. A mechanism is a component of a machine consisting of two or more bodies arranged so that the motion of one compels the motion of the others. The design of an automotive power train (a type of machine) is concerned with several mechanism, including slider-crank linkages, cam and follower linkages, and gear trains. Many mechanisms undergo planar motion, motion in a single plane or in asset of parallel planes. The more general case, spatial motion, applies to mechanism in which the motion must be described in three dimensions. Kinematics analysis is done under graphically in general, such as polygon method which capture the mechanism in one moment. Another way to alternate this problem is involve any mathematical method. This solution gave the accurate and fastest way because supported by computer technology. The aim of this project is to determine the formula for position, velocity, and acceleration statement of the sawing machine by using Mathlab.Keywords: mechanism, motion (position, velocity and acceleration), polygon method
