AbstractThere are different tools to measure the efficacy of the quality system and of its processes. Among them, internal audits are essential components since they cover all aspects of the program. Auditing is a systematic and documented process to ensure compliance with requirements. Preparing and planning are important parts of a good audit and the selection of the auditor must be based on expertise and competency. The appropriate analysis of the results of the audit and implementation of the corrective action, preventive action, or process improvements after the audit will help the program to improve year after year.

Abstract As a laboratory certified to ISO 9001:2000 and accredited to ISO 17025, rtech laboratories has incorporated an overall system for technical and quality management, which results in benefits observed in daily laboratory practices. Technical requirements were updated to include the addition of formal personnel training plans and detailed records, method development and validation procedures, measurement of method uncertainty, and a defined equipment calibration and maintenance program. In addition, a stronger definition of the sample preparation process was documented to maintain consistency in sampling, and a more rigorous quality control monitoring program was implemented for chemistry and microbiology. Management quality improvements focused on document control to maintain consistent analytical processes, improved monitoring of supplier performance, a contract review process for documenting customer requirements, and a system for handling customer comments and complaints, with continuous improvement through corrective and preventive action procedures and audits. Quarterly management review of corrective actions, nonconforming testing, and proficiency testing aid in determining long-term trending. The practical benefits of these technical and management quality improvements are seen on a daily basis in the laboratory. Faster identification and resolution of issues regarding methods, personnel or equipment, improved customer satisfaction, meeting quality requirements of specialized customers, and overall increased laboratory business are all the result of implementing an effective quality system.

<p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Serious adverse events (SAEs) are preventable if reported on time. Assessment of harm caused by clinical trials is difficult than assessing the benefits as it relied on the information as recorded by the study team. Hence it is important to have knowledge about quality safety reporting. The objectives of the study were to assess root cause for the timeline deviation found in SAE report and to develop the corrective action and preventive action to minimize deviation rate.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Methods:</strong> A retrospective study was conducted in KLE’s Hospital and MRC, Belagavi. Data was collected from SAE documented trial study files. Between August 2016 to August 2019, 25 SAE occurred during clinical trials which were included in the study through complete enumeration and purposive sampling.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Results:</strong> Data was analyzed for SAE reporting timeline where in no deviation was found in initial report. It was seen that all SAEs were not related to investigational product. The narrations of SAE were according to standardized format as per Ethics Committee review report. A gap was observed between onset of SAE and initial report in 16 case reports.</p><p class="abstract"><strong>Conclusions: </strong>The study concluded that there was a lag in reporting from onset of SAE to initial report even though there was no deviation observed in the initial report timeline. The main contributing factors were admitting in different hospital without information and lack of knowledge by subjects or their relatives which shows the need of awareness about quality safety reporting.</p>

This study investigated what it meant and continues to mean for the creativity scientific field, J. P. Guilford´s research on the need to eradicate genius theory in order to give rise to the idea of creativity as an adaptive and projective human quality. The field of creativity as it exists today, emerged largely as a result of Guilford´s theoretical model of the structure of intelligence, a pioneer contribution to the measurement and possible development of creative potential. To these days, Guilford´s and E. Paul Torrance´s (1962) factors related to creativity remain the most widely used in the design of creativity tests. This paper presents a complication of the creativity factors that have been added to Guilford's original list since 1950 until these days, by diverse and relevant authors in the field. A grouping process is performed to eliminate repetitions, similarities or redundancies, and to obtain a list of clearly differentiated attributes. Every attribute is defined in the creativity context in order to examine how they could be related under R. Estarda (2005) theory of creativity, that categorize creativity´s factors in the following triad: affection, cognition and volition. Same factors that J. Lamberth (1980) defined in social psychology, as the essential components in any measurement of behavior. The validity in the selection of Estrada's theory as a merging point comes from its commonality with the theories of Urban (1995), Saturnino de la Torre (2003), Kurtzberg &amp; Amabile (2001) and Arieti (1976). This study supports the view of creativity as a systemic process that considers both the contextual and the individual contribution, and contemplates the potential interplay among the three behavioral components. Concluding that factors related to creativity play an essential role on the identification and the development of creative potential. Both attributes and their categorization remain as fields for a future research´s quantitative validation.
