The dynamics of direct investment in the Ukrainian economy was analyzed for two types of economic activities that should form financial statements in accordance with IFRS, namely, the extractive industry and quarrying, as well as financial and insurance activities.

This article discusses and analyzes the most popular standards of non-financial reporting, which has a significant impact on the transformation of the business environment. Already, domestic and foreign companies with a high level of responsibility are beginning to publish non-financial statements in addition to financial statements, which is an additional tool for communication with stakeholders and a new source of information about their activities. To date, reports of this type are clearly unregulated, there are no verification standards, however, there is already a positive trend and the active introduction of non-financial indicators in the regular reporting of companies.

Introduction. Currently, the procedure for providing audit services to public interest entities is being reformed. The main goal of these reforms is to provide more effective protection of legally protected values associated with the activities of such economic entities. The changes also apply to the content of audit reports on their financial statements. The process of revising the relevant regulatory document is still ongoing. Not all of the revised provisions are consistent with each other and the International Standards on Auditing. This will complicate their practical application by auditors and affect the informational value and public utility of audit reports. In addition, since 2017, when the modern format for audit reports was adopted, its application has revealed shortcomings in terms of its content and terminology. This explains the need to develop proposals to eliminate these “sticking points” when regulating the content of the auditor's report. Purpose. The development of recommendations to harmonise the provisions of laws and regulations governing the content of audit reports and federal state control (supervision) of the activities of audit organisations providing services to public interest entities with the International Auditing Standards in order to increase the information value of audit reports. Methods. The research results were obtained using analysis, synthesis, analogy, historical and logical approaches, classification, etc. Results. The content of the requirements of the International Standards on Auditing regarding the content of audit reports was clarified as well as their official translation into Russian to make the documents more informative and easy to use. Conclusions. The proposed clarifications can be taken into account when making changes to the texts of the Federal Law “On Auditing Activities”, the original version of the International Standards on Auditing and its official translation. They can also be further discussed by specialists.

The essence of effective management of each business entity depends primarily on transparency and disclosure of information about its financial and economic activities. The financial report itself covers all important information about the state of the enterprise and provides an opportunity to obtain financial status with it by the interested user for further analysis and decision-making on further activities. As a rule, investors of creditors, state bodies, representatives who are preparing in construction with the business entity are interested in financial reporting. In order to provide more detailed and informative financial reporting to users, it is necessary to compile it with international standards, which act as tools for globalization of the economy and contribute to the development of global economic relations. During 2020–2021, the activities of enterprises took place in extremely difficult conditions, which is why the pandemic significantly affected the financial reporting indicators. Today, there is an appropriate use of intelligent technology and computer technology in the formation of financial statements. Financial statements based on taxonomies of financial statements for IFRS are prepared and presented in a single electronic format using Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL). XBRL is a generally accepted international standard for presenting financial statements in accordance with IFRS in electronic form. With the help of IFRS, Ukrainian companies have more effectively solved the following tasks: attracting investments and loans from the world's largest companies and banks, the ability to service financing from foreign banks and other organizations; placement of shares on international stock exchanges; providing the company's management with reliable information for making management decisions, as well as evaluating their adoption. Thus, today the economy of Ukraine depends on the choice of IFRS as a conceptual basis for accounting and its practical implementation. After all, the financial statements are fully open to internal and external users to make informed management decisions regarding cooperation with the relevant entity.

Abstract. The information demands of a globalized society are forcing businesses to produce financial statements that meet the requirements of all stakeholders. The purpose of the article was to assess what information entities disclose in the financial statements prepared in accordance with IAS and IFRS, and what conflicts arise. Theoretical and methodological aspects of the results of scientists prove the importance of information disclosure in the financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS. At the same time, the issue of disclosure of information in the financial statements remains open, taking into account the needs of current activities of enterprises. In view of this, there is a need to: study the provision of users of financial statements with information, the disclosure of which provides for international standards; testing hypotheses about the need to study the differences between the types of financial statements provided for in IFRS and IAS and reviewing the long-term liability in the event of early repayment. Based on the analysis, it is established that the information required for disclosure in the financial statements determines the type of financial statements. The conducted research testifies to the presence of gaps in IFRS in the order of compilation and information content of the combined reporting. It is proposed that the combined financial statements be prepared by entities that for one reason or another do not meet the requirements of IFRS 10. It is established that an important condition for reliable reflection in the Statement of financial position information on long-term credit is the need to analyze during the year. It is proposed to consider part of the long-term loan in the form of payments, which must be repaid within twelve months from the date of reporting, as a current liability. This approach requires reclassifying existing credit from long-term to current liabilities, which will lead to further changes in cash flow estimates, adjusting the carrying amount of liabilities. The results of the study can be used by practitioners in various sectors of the economy in the formation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
