AbstractWhile positive parenting programs are an initiative aligned with the Family-Centered Care model and the Council of Europe’s Recommendation on Positive Parenting, implementation in healthcare centers remains a challenge. The aims of this study were to (1) investigate how the hybrid version (online course plus face-to-face activities) of the program “Gain Health & Wellbeing From 0 to 3” was implemented in Spain from professionals’ perspective, and (2) explore the perceived impact of this hybrid version of the program on the implementers’ professional development. We used a qualitative mixed-methods design that included focus groups and surveys. Fifty professionals from 17 centers completed the survey on professional development. Thirty-one of these also participated in the focus groups to address the first aim. The key themes identified from the focus group were professional training, parent recruitment, program features, organizational issues, parental responses, and program sustainability. Survey results related to positive professional impact fit nicely with subthemes concerning collaboration with parents, parental needs, center coordination, and future expectations. The perceived relevance of the parenting program and its positive impact on the implementers’ professional development were potential predictors for the adoption and sustainability of the program in the public health system.

The goal of this study is to use the Asset-Based Community Development approach to identify the assets of Kampung Mina Mangrove in Wonorejo. One of the research methods employed is action research using a qualitative approach. Document studies, field surveys, and in-depth interviews are used to collect data, which is then examined inductively and qualitatively. According to research findings, Kampung Mina Mangrove has a relatively high productive age based on human capital with the help of social assets. Mangrove fruit processing is a viable enterprise for the growth of the East Wonorejo area, thanks to strong population and a strategic position. In terms of material assets, the state of the current infrastructure must be considered. From the standpoint of economic assets, SME players will not only wait for financial or capital aid from the government in the future, but will also take the initiative to offer a collaboration or partnership with other business actors who can support each other. From the standpoint of environmental assets, they should pay closer attention to the environmental conditions around eco-tourism sites. East Wonorejo, the village's only access route, must have suitable waste disposal sites and sewers to prevent flooding during the rainy season. Based on the identification of all assets, future expectations are supported, in addition to assistance from different linked parties, so that current SMEs may expand more generally, not just in mangrove regions.

The vast majority of disabled people live at home for a long time and are cared for by close relatives, while the family caregivers who cover the daily care are often under a lot of stress in terms of health, finances, relationships, etc. In this study, taking family caregivers of disabled people as the research object, more than 500 family caregivers of disabled people from six cities and counties were investigated by questionnaire, and factor analysis was used to explore the life satisfaction and its influencing factors of family caregivers of disabled people. Through the analysis, it is found that the life satisfaction of family caregivers of disabilities is generally low, and its influencing factors are ranked in order of importance: care pressure, future expectations, interpersonal communication, social support, and social integration. Therefore, China still needs to introduce more high-level social policies and take corresponding service measures from the perspective of family caregivers to effectively improve the respect and protection of the rights and interests of persons with disabilities and their families.

The brain–computer interface (BCI) has emerged in recent years and has attracted great attention. As an indispensable part of the BCI signal acquisition system, brain electrodes have a great influence on the quality of the signal, which determines the final effect. Due to the special usage scenario of brain electrodes, some specific properties are required for them. In this study, we review the development of three major types of EEG electrodes from the perspective of material selection and structural design, including dry electrodes, wet electrodes, and semi-dry electrodes. Additionally, we provide a reference for the current chaotic performance evaluation of EEG electrodes in some aspects such as electrochemical performance, stability, and so on. Moreover, the challenges and future expectations for EEG electrodes are analyzed.

The main aim of the study was to assess the sources of resilience in orphans and vulnerable children in district schools in the local communities of Amajuba. The study has drawn insight from the social ecological theory of Bronfenbrenner. Being a mixed-method research approach, its design is grounded within the post-positivism paradigm. A self-administered questionnaire and individual interviews were used to collect data from 303 orphans and vulnerable children purposively sampled from schools within the Amajuba district KwaZulu-Natal for the quantitative phase, while eight orphans and vulnerable children were interviewed for the qualitative phase. Frequency distributions and a thematic analysis were employed to analyse the data. The findings establish that apart from HIV/Aids related deaths of parents, poverty, disabilities, abandonment or neglect, and COVID-19 are found to be other causes of vulnerability among the participants. Conversely, future expectations, religion or spirituality, and an extraverted personality type were found to be the sources of resilience in the participants. The inclusion of resilience in the education/school curriculum across all levels as well as resilience booster interventions are recommended for African children.

This article quantifies the information flow between major equities in the Oil & Gas Midstream and Marine Shipping industries, on the basis of the effective transfer entropy methodology. In addition, the article provides the first analysis of the investors` fear and market expectations in these sectors, according to Rényi entropy approach. The period of study was extended over five years, to fully capture the pre/post-COVID situations. The entropy results reveal a major change in the underlying information flow pattern among equities in the Oil & Gas Midstream and Marine Shipping sectors, in the aftermath of COVID-19. According to the new (post-COVID) paradigm, the stocks in the Oil & Gas Midstream and Integrated Freight & Logistics industries have gained momentum in occupying six of the ten positions within the list of most-influencing equities in the market, in terms of information transmission. The disorder and randomness has decreased for over 89% of the studied equities, after virus outbreak. For the equities detected with high information-transmission standing, the Rényi entropy results indicate that investors more likely showed higher level of future expectations and lower level of fear regarding frequent market events, within the post-COVID timeline. Doi: 10.28991/HIJ-2021-02-04-07 Full Text: PDF

Bitcoin is a decentralized system that tries to become a solution to the shortcomings of fiat and gold-based currencies. Considering its newness, the adoption level of bitcoin is yet understood. Hence, several variables are proposed in this work in examining user perceptions regarding performance expectancy, effort expectancy, trust, adoption risk, decentralization and social influence interplay, with the context of user’s future expectation and behavioral intentions to use bitcoins. Data were gathered from 293 completed questionnaire and analised using AMOS 18. The outcomes prove the sound predictability of the proposed model regarding user’s future expectations and intentions toward bitcoins. All hypotheses were supported, they were significantly affecting the dependent variables. Social influence was found as the highest predictor of behavioral intention to negatively utilize bitcoins. The significant impact of social influence, adoption risk and effort expectancy which affect behavioral intention to use bitcoins the most, are demonstrated in this study. Bitcoins should thus, present an effective, feasible and personalized program which will assist efficient usage among users. Additionally, the impacts of social influence, adoption risk and perceived trust on behavioral intention to utilize new technology were compared, and their direct path was tested together, for the first time in this context.
