In this research, the researcher used two instruments. They are observation and interview. There are three subjects involved in this research. They are two blind students and one low vision students. The observation was done when the researcher did teaching and learning process at Class Dakwah R. The data were taken from observation and interview. The researcher used the data to analyze the VIS’ difficulties in learning English. The result shows that there are some difficulties faced by VIS. These difficulties can be put into two different categories: internal and external difficulties. Internal difficulties come from the VIS themselves which relates to VIS’ sight conditions and their learning strategies. External difficulties come from the learning environment including difficulties from the lecturer, friends, materials and the facilities.VIS have different learning strategies. The lecturer should discuss some classroom adaptations such as seating arrangement, friends’ assistance and peer teaching, adapted facilities and exam accommodation, for instance exam assistance, longer exam time, inclusive examination and larger print for low vision students. Finally, the lecturer should choose appropriate teaching strategies, media and teaching aids.

Proper missionary strategies will have a good effect on your target person. Thus, the preacher must strive to improve the quality of the uslub al-da’wah that is effective in the context of continuous learning to the visually impaired. Learning to be applied in a humane manner is important in order to enhance the level of psychology, knowledge and self-confidence. This study will explore the practice of the uslub al-da’wah in the process of religious learning for the visually impaired. Interviews were used as the main instrument in this study. Two informants were interviewed as experts. Nvivo version 12.0 was used in analysis the study data. The study found three phases of learning implemented by uslub al-da'wah to the visually impaired namely pre-learning, during-learning and post-learning. Pre-learning contains two main themes: module suitability and identifying target groups. The learning process consists of six themes that are always informative, stimulate the soul through religious motivation, use appropriate language adjustments, use storytelling techniques, conduct question and answer activities and practice. Whereas post-learning contains three themes, the preacher make a soft relationships, maintains relationships and provides service to them. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a guide for preachers who are directly involved in the teaching and learning process for the visually impaired.

Prior research into the accessibility of computing education focused primarily on the curricula and tools used in the classroom and the challenges students with disabilities faced in learning from them. We argue that there is insufficient research that explores these problems through observations in an actual programming course to learn about the learning and teaching processes used in conjunction with such curricula and tools. We address this gap through a four-week diary study involving a teacher and two visually impaired students throughout an ongoing distance learning programming course to examine teacher perceptions of their students’ performance in learning to code and students’ perceptions of the course material, tools, and instruction. Findings reveal that despite challenges encountered, students could achieve their learning outcomes from the teacher’s instructions. Additionally, we learn how online learning could be a viable platform for a more accessible learning experience for visually impaired learners.

In this article we report an ethnographic case study of observing the teaching and learning of English at a school for visually impaired students in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia. Data collection included student and teacher interviews. It also covered class observation and used a social constructivist framework of disability. The study revealed that the students received inadequate modifications of instruction in foreign language learning. However, the students used a variety of resources with the screen reader technology such as Non Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) and Job Access with Speech (JAWS). These findings suggest that visually impaired students actually can have unique ways of learning foreign language supported by the assistive technology. These abilities should be acknowledged to obtain the perspectives of students who receive disability specific education. Moreover, the study might provide a further facet to the research especially on the importance of learning strategies in special education.

This study focuses on identifying the problems faced by visually impaired students in teaching-learning  process of English syntax course at Faculty of Humanities, Dian Nuswantoro University in 2014. English syntax, as one of the subjects studied in the English study program, is considered as a challenging subject for visually impaired students as it involves visual perception, such as graphics and images. This research was a descriptive qualitative one. The researchers collected the data by using an in-depth interview. This involved 2 visually impaired students who experienced the learning process of English syntax and 3 lecturers of Dian Nuswantoro University. The discussion was limited on the issues around the needs for creating an accessible learning media and kinds of difficulties faced by the visually impaired students. From the in-depth interview, there are three major findings that are highlighted: a) the needs to overcome all inaccessible English syntax learning materials; b) general difficulties faced by visually impaired students in English syntax subject; c) technical difficulties in drawing tree structure diagrams. Then, these highlighted problems and findings are used as to formulate the recommendations of this study.
