The Relationship

This introductory chapter provides an overview of the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and intellectual property (IP). While human beings have used various instruments and technologies to create and innovate, they themselves have been the main driving force of creativity and innovation. AI puts that into question, raising numerous challenges to the existing IP regime. Traditionally, the “intellectual” part of “intellectual property” refers to human intellect. However, since machines have become intelligent and are increasingly capable of making creative, innovative choices based on opaque algorithms, the “intellectual” in “intellectual property” turns out to be perplexing. Existing human-centric IP regimes based on promoting incentives and avoiding disincentives may no longer be relevant—or even positively detrimental—if AI comes into play. Moreover, AI has sparked new issues in IP law regarding legal subjects, scope, standards of protection, exceptions, and relationships between actors.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a broad phrase that refers to any machine’s activity that would otherwise need human intellect.Recent technological advancements have closed the gap between human and machines, allowing computers to replicate natural human intellect and produce “artificial intelligence”. Neurosurgery has benefited the most from AI-driven technology advancements in the medical field. It’s frightening to think that a computer may be taught or self-taught how to do spine or brain surgery. Embracing this technology will allow us to provide the best possible care for our patients, and its potential role in neurosurgery is intriguing.

Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly one of the greatest achievements of the human intellect; in a sense , it has a creative character, because here one being (i.e. a human) gives (well, maybe not quite yet, but almost) independent life to a different being. The curiosity where this will lead us humans seems to be greater than the questions of anxiety that arise on this occasion. These questions are very diverse and concern almost all aspects of human activity. The interest in the development of new technologies connected with artificial intelligence and with the future is perfectly justified, but what about the risk that is inherent in every invention; moreover, a risk that is usually proportional to its actual importance? This paper contains many questions, not at all original, expressing anxiety, for which we still do not have answers – and probably will not for a long time.

The paper studies the basic problems of Artificial Intelligence, such as integration of difference attributes of human intellect. For this purpose we have been created synergetic systems that are hybrid intelligent systems (HYIS). The paper shows the world of decision support problems and the world of modelling approaches evolution. The term ‘heterogeneous problem’ for decision support systems is discussed. Two models of interaction between the problems world and the methods world also the results of HYIS creating are discussed. The formalism of HYIS is introduced.

The paper presents finding certain geometric objects in an image of the work area. Using offline programming of robots ABB RobotStudio program is ordered using these objects in a predetermined order. A significant number of high-performance algorithms used in image processing using methods and techniques of artificial intelligence. On the other hand, artificial intelligence requires intersection area and building systems capable of performing the functions of the human intellect: experiential learning, natural language understanding and the use of reasoning to solve problems or make decisions. All these imply, however, accumulating a certain amount of information (knowledge base, environmental information, etc.). This information is taken from the intelligent sensors, and creates an image of the environment when taking data. The image thus obtained is extracted useful information. However the field of artificial vision is a common discipline both image processing and artificial intelligence. In the first stage, objects placed in the normal position as to determine the geometrical shape feature. Determine a range of appropriate methods for recognizing geometric shapes (square, circle, rectangle, etc.). Using ABB robot with gripper each object is positioned firmly in place .

This paper aims to provide a better understanding of the possible applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of Pharmacy. Artificial intelligence basically involves complex information processing. It enables machines to carry out certain functions which were originally done by human and which required human intellect. Over the past few years, the use of artificial intelligence in the pharma has grown unimaginably and is now able to revolutionize the way drugs are discovered and handled. AI is capable of impacting the field of pharmacy at multiple levels. Pharmacy and medical education, drug development, personalization of drug therapy, drug safety, rational drug use, manufacture and formulation of dosage forms are areas of impact by AI. The fact that AI can displace humans at their own tasks is a matter of concern. Although there are ethical concerns regarding the implementation of AI in healthcare, it can be assured that no machine or system can replace many of the humanitarian duties.

SummaryAlthough expert systems and knowledge engineering are attracting great attention there is still confusion about what they are. Most expert systems deal with problems which are familiar to other disciplines and their distinctive character is not always recognised. This tutorial describes the origins of expert systems in Artificial Intelligence, and the technical concept of “knowledge”. The central feature is the ideal of explicitly representing knowledge as facts, rules and other symbolic structures, rather than the traditional representation as abstract numbers or algorithms. These developments yield new solutions to old problems, and ways of solving problems whcih have previously been thought to be the preserve of the human intellect.
