AbstractWe show that the performances of the finite difference method for double barrier option pricing can be strongly enhanced by applying both a repeated Richardson extrapolation technique and a mesh optimization procedure. In particular, first we construct a space mesh that is uniform and aligned with the discontinuity points of the solution being sought. This is accomplished by means of a suitable transformation of coordinates, which involves some parameters that are implicitly defined and whose existence and uniqueness is theoretically established. Then, a finite difference scheme employing repeated Richardson extrapolation in both space and time is developed. The overall approach exhibits high efficacy: barrier option prices can be computed with accuracy close to the machine precision in less than one second. The numerical simulations also reveal that the improvement over existing methods is due to the combination of the mesh optimization and the repeated Richardson extrapolation.

Abaqus finite element software can implement three-dimensional excavation design calculation, so authors used Python of Abaqus core language made the 3D design of foundation pit supporting program come ture and also did intensive study of mesh optimization during the process. Authors also did intensive comparison and analysis about grid division of the complex geometry foundation pit, through a regularization partion about a variety of special-shaped pit, we made the automatic division about the structural grid of all kinds of shapes foundation pit successful. On this basis, we achieved better calculation effects of the model. The article will introduce problems about optimization of grid in procedure.

Track guidance vehicle (RGV) is widely used in logistics warehousing and intelligent workshop, and its scheduling effectiveness will directly affect the production and operation efficiency of enterprises. In practical operation, central information system often lacks flexibility and timeliness. By contrast, mobile computing can balance the central information system and the distributed processing system, so that useful, accurate, and timely information can be provided to RGV. In order to optimize the RGV scheduling problem in uncertain environment, a genetic algorithm scheduling rule (GAM) using greedy algorithm as the genetic screening criterion is proposed in this paper. In the experiment, RGV scheduling of two-step processing in an intelligent workshop is selected as the research object. The experimental results show that the GAM model can carry out real-time dynamic programming, and the optimization efficiency is remarkable before a certain threshold.

Use of a solar cell in concentrator PV technology requires reduction in its series resistance in order to minimize the resistive power losses. The present paper discusses a methodology of reducing the series resistance of a commercial c-Si solar cell for concentrator applications, in the range of 2 to 10 suns. Step by step optimization of commercial cell in terms of grid geometry, junction depth, and electroplating of the front metal contacts is proposed. A model of resistance network of solar cell is developed and used for the optimization. Efficiency of unoptimized commercial cell at 10 suns drops by 30% of its 1 sun value corresponding to resistive power loss of about 42%. The optimized cell with grid optimization, junction optimization, electroplating, and junction optimized with electroplated contacts cell gives resistive power loss of 20%, 16%, 11%, and 8%, respectively. An efficiency gain of 3% at 10 suns for fully optimized cell is estimated.
