There are some shortcomings, such as huge hardware resource consumption, functional differentiation is difficult and limited fault detection coverage, when embryonic cellular array (ECA) is used to design large-scale circuit. In this paper, the structure characteristics and communication method of multicellular organism are analyzed briefly, and a new bio-inspired ECA based on bus structure (BECA) is proposed, besides that the corresponding self-repairing strategy is designed. First, the functional decomposition has been applied in BECA, which uses bus structure to realize internal communication. BECA consists of bus and electronic tissues (ET), which can be used to realize large-scale circuit. C17 circuit in ISCAS85 circuit library is chosen as experiment subject, and experiment simulation results indicate that BECA based on bus structure is suitable for large-scale circuit, and the faults occurred in ET can be repaired effectively. In order to research BECA from the mathematical point of view, the reliability evaluation model of BECA is established, which is based on [Formula: see text]-out-of-[Formula: see text] system reliability model. In addition, the hardware resource consumption model of BECA is established by analyzing the number of metal oxide semiconductor (MOS) transistors that ECA consumed. Based on BECA reliability and hardware resource consumption evaluation model, comparative experiment is studied, and the results indicate that the proposed ECA can improve the reliability of circuit and reduce hardware resource consumption effectively. Therefore, the BECA presented will play an important role in designing large-scale digital circuit with self-repairing ability.

In this work, a bus encoding method is proposed that reduces the effect of crosstalk. The crosstalk usually occurs when the data is in parallel communicated. In planar structures, the crosstalk effect is large due to the usage of parallel communication and wide data patterns. In bus technique, the huge amount of wires is laid in equal over a significant time. One way to reduce crosstalk without changing the parallel communicating data lines is to reduce the wideband data patterns so as to reduce the power utilization. The proposed encoding method can minimize the crosstalk by reducing wide data patterns without degrading the performance. The architecture is implemented on Artix 7 FPGA at a 28nm technology node. The simulation is done using the HDL tool and the results are compared with the existing FPGA architecture. With the proposed method, the wire density and the power consumption are reduced by 57.4% and 50% respectively as compared with existing 45 nm technologies.

With further increase of the number of on-chip device, the bus structure has not met the requirements. In order to make better communication between each part, the chip designers need to explore a new structure to solve the interconnection of on-chip device. The paper proposes a network-on-chip dynamic and adaptive algorithm which selects NoC platform with 2-dimension mesh as the carrier, incorporates communication energy consumption and delay into unified cost function and uses ant colony optimization to realize NOC map facing energy consumption and delay. The experiment indicates that compared with random map, single objective optimization can separately saves (30%~47 %) and ( 20%~39%) in communication energy consumption and execution time compared with random map, and joint objective optimization can further excavate the potential of time dimension in mapping scheme dominated by the energy.

In this study, the energy absorption capacity of a front body of a bus during a frontal crash was investigated. The strength of the bus structure was examined by considering the ECE-R29 European regulation requirements. The nonlinear explicit finite element code LS-DYNA was used for the crash analyses. First, the baseline bus structures without any improvements were analyzed and the weak parts of the front end structure of the bus body were examined. Experimental tests are conducted to validate the finite element model. In the second stage, the bus structure was redesigned in order to strengthen the frontal body. Finally, the redesigned bus structure was compared with the baseline model to meet the requirements for ECE-R29. In addition to the redesign performed on the body, energy absorption capacity was increased by additional energy absorbers employed in the front of bus structure. This study experimentally and numerically investigated the energy absorption characteristics of a steering wheel armature in contact with a deformable mannequin during a crash. Variations in the location of impact on the armature, armature orientation, and mannequin were investigated to determine the effects of the energy absorption characteristics of the two contacting entities.

Uniform standard in the structural design for insulated tubular bus is not available both at China and abroad, and there are few reports about insulated tubular bus, which causes a waste of resources and even leads to grid failure. In this paper, epoxy/paper composites insulated tubular bus was investigated and a two-dimensional model was preferred in the simulation due to the axial symmetry of insulated tubular bus. The distribution of electric field and temperature in composite insulated materials were studied with the changes of the diameter/thickness of copper pipe and the thickness of insulation materials. According to the results simulation results, the structure of insulated tubular bus was optimized, the thickness of copper pipe conductor and insulation had been greatly reduced. Compared to the non-optimized initial structure, the amount of copper pipe conductor used for the optimized insulated tubular bus was reduced by 48%, the amount of insulation materials were reduced by 52.5%, and the current density of copper pipe conductor increased by 92.2%.

Bus vibration is studied by the finite element method (FEM) base on bus structure model. The bus mathematical model of vertical vibration is established and the vibration response variables were deduced with the modal analysis method. The finite element (FE) model is established and decoupled. The transformational relation between spatial frequency displacement power spectral density (PSD) and temporal frequency displacement PSD and the sampling characteristics of the road irregularity PSD in numerical computation are discussed. Road irregularity load is modeled in software. The FE model is solved using modal analysis method and the acceleration PSD of each keypoint can be gained. Finally, a road test experiment is carried on to verify the simulation results. The example indicated that study on vehicle ride comford by FEM has instructive meaning.
