The current study is concerned with the stability of and changes in vocational interest profiles and interest congruence in vocational education and training (VET). Specifically, we examined (1) the stability of vocational interest profiles, (2) the existence of occupational socialization effects that manifest themselves as increases in person-environment (P-E) congruence, and (3) the question of whether or not changes in P-E congruence are psychologically relevant because they are related to trainees’ attitudes towards their VET course. We used data from a three-wave longitudinal sample comprising N = 2611 trainees from five different VET courses in Germany. Through the use of meta-analytical aggregation techniques, we were able to analyze interindividual differences in intraindividual interest stability and P-E congruence and to relate these differences to trainees’ satisfaction with VET. On average, interest profiles turned out to be highly stable over the entire course of VET. However, we found substantial interindividual and intergroup differences in interest stability. Average P-E congruence increased slightly in two groups, providing only little evidence for the presumed socialization effects. Nevertheless, interindividual differences in P-E congruence and changes in P-E congruence were psychologically relevant because they were linked to trainees’ satisfaction with their VET course and changes therein.

This study is concerned with the stability analysis and the feedback stabilization problems for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with multiple time-varying delays. Unusually, more general time delays, which depend on the subsystem number, are considered. In this regard, by constructing a novel common Lyapunov function, using the aggregation techniques and the Borne and Gentina criterion, new algebraic stability and feedback stabilization conditions under arbitrary switching are derived. The proposed results are explicit and obtained without searching a common Lyapunov function through the linear matrix inequalities approach, considered a difficult matter in this case. At last, two numerical simulation examples are shown to prove the practical utility of the suggested approach.

The structuring of a sustainability index requires a transparent and reliable process, so that its results are the closest to reality and consistent. This study aimed at a critical analysis of the process of structural elaboration of the (sub) sustainability indexes, comparing its main disadvantages and advantages. The methodology used focuses on the qualitative through the technique of systematic literature review and snowballing. The keywords (composite indicators, index, sustainability, aggregation, normalization, advantages and disadvantages) have been inserted into the Google Scholar, Science Direct, Springer Link and Wiley Online Library search directories. The main results show that the techniques used in the process of standardization, weighting and aggregation of a set of data in a sustainability index present indifferent weaknesses and limitations. In addition, the multicriteria aggregation techniques cover qualitative, quantitative data and their uncertainties, but they do not eliminate the weaknesses and limitations of structuring the sustainability index. Thus, they tend to be more suitable, but do not guarantee that the index generated reflect the complexity of the reality of the system that has been reduced. The theoretical and practical contributions of this study are related to the choices of methods and techniques in structuring the (sub) sustainability index, since even with the choice of the most adequate ones in their elaboration, they do not eliminate their fragilities and limitations. The originality of the study is the combination of the main methods and techniques of elaborating a (sub) sustainability index in a single document, in the Portuguese language.

Wireless sensor network incorporates an innovative aspect called as data handling technologies for big data organization. In today’s research the data aggregation occupies an important position and its emerging rapidly. Data aggregation incudes, process of accumulating the data at node, then either store or transfer further to reach out the destination. This survey depicts about the previous work on data aggregation in WSN and also its impact on the different services. There are number of data aggregation techniques available for reducing the data, processing the data and storing the data. Some of them are discussed here as a review. The data aggregation performed using certain techniques can also be aimed in having energy efficiency, time efficient, security could be in the form of confidentiality, unimpaired, authenticate, freshness, quality, data availability, access control, nonrepudiation, secrecy, secrecy. These are the relevant performance metrics to maintain the better Qos in WSNs applications. The goal of this paper is to display an overview of existing techniques for performance improvement in homogenous/ heterogenous networks.
