The article discusses the current trends in the higher education development. The new approach to the organization of the educational process is needed to develop and form the professional competencies of students. In particular, the use of modern educational technologies, interactive teaching methods in the training process organization. The use of these teaching methods allows students to get a high-paying job and be in demand in the labor market in the future. This is because specialists receive in-depth knowledge on water bodies’ creation under any conditions - from a desert to highlands; usage of special vehicles for fish catching and breeding; managing technological processes; evaluation of the biological parameters of products; environmental testing and determining water bodies’ suitability for fish and crustaceans breeding. Students must undergo an internship that allows them to apply their knowledge and skills in their work.

Major current trends in education development are considered. Various issues of modernizing managerial education towards mass-scale involvement, internationalization and computerization are discussed. Aim. The presented study aims to analyze and critically re-evaluate current trends in the development of education.Tasks. The authors examine the concept of lifelong learning; identify the strengths and weaknesses of modern digital technologies such as gamification, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR); show the prospects for the development of education through distance learning.Methods. This study is based on a systems approach using methods of comparative and structural analysis, analytical and theoretical generalization.Results. Current trends in the development of education associated with the introduction of digital technologies are considered, and the prospects for the development of the industry are determined.Conclusions. The concepts of lifelong learning and practice-oriented education are becoming increasingly widespread in the context of the digital economy and labor market transformation. The forced transition to distance learning driven by the COVID-19 pandemic has become a catalyst for rapid changes in education. Digital educational technologies such as VR and AR expand the possibilities of the natural educational environment, while also bearing certain risks.

This article is devoted to the analysis of current trends in civic education development and presentation and analysis of the results of the all-Ukrainian study "Democracy in Education" in order to highlight the challenges that arise in the implementation of mechanisms and instruments of civic competence development within the concept of the new Ukrainian school. The analysis revealed the following challenges: the delineation of active citizenship and political participation, the reduction of the concept of citizenship to the legal relations of the state and the citizen, a lack of awareness of the possibilities of using integrated learning and an active approach to promote justice among students. So, there is a need in developing strategies for overcoming them.

Meeting the unique career education needs of the learning disabled requires appropriate, systematic models for career education development. Currently, few such programs are available because of the reluctance of secondary learning disabilities teachers to abandon the remedial academic model. The author traces some of the current trends in career education for the learning disabled and presents a model for providing career education to secondary learning disabled students.

Administrators of programs for children with communicative disorders in 11 midwestern states were surveyed to assess trends in the training and utilization of paraprofessionals. Topics included: (a) current trends in employment, (b) paraprofessional training, (c) use of ASHA and state guidelines, and (d) district policies for supervision. Selection criteria, use of job descriptions, training programs, and supervision practices and policies were examined. Results indicate that paraprofessionals are used but that standards for training and supervision are not consistently applied across all programs. Program administrators report minimal training for supervising professionals.

A graduate-level course in dysphagia is an integral part of the graduate curriculum in speech-language pathology. There are many challenges to meeting the needs of current graduate student clinicians, thus requiring the instructor to explore alternatives. These challenges, suggested paradigm shifts, and potential available solutions are explored. Current trends, lack of evidence for current methods, and the variety of approaches to teaching the dysphagia course are presented.
