In this paper, we study the problem of end-to-end network traffic estimation in the electric power communication network. Based on principal component analysis and multifractal wavelet model, we propose an effective and precise approach to estimate each origin-destination pair. Numeral results state that our method can capture the changes of end-to-end network traffic accurately in electric power communication network.

The issues of prospective operation of the city electric networks in the conditions of the MART GRID, which will be quite different as compared to the traditional understanding and approaches, are under consideration. This requires the selection and application of appropriate analytical criteria and approaches to assessment, analysis and control of the networks. With this regard the following criteria are recommended: in a particular case – the optimal (minimal) technological electric power consumption (losses), while in general – economically reasonable (minimal) cost value of electric power transmission. It should be also borne in mind that contemporary urban networks are actively saturated with distributed sources of small generation that have radically changed the structure of electrical networks; therefore, account for such sources is an absolutely necessary objective of management regimes of urban electric networks, both traditional and in associated with the SMART GRID. A case of the analysis and control of urban electric 10 kV networks with distributed small sources of generation has been developed and presented according to the theoretical criterion of minimum relative active power losses in the circuit as a control case. The conducted research makes it possible to determine the magnitude of the tolerance network mode from the point of the theoretical minimum.

The architecture of the smart grid combines the communication grid and physical power grid in a sole huge network. Smart grid has various security threats like cyber-attacks, physical attacks or natural disasters. The mentioned threats can lead to the breach of the user’s privacy, failure of the infrastructure, energy theft, blackouts endanger the safety of the operators among many more. For this reason, there is need to ensure that the smart grid cyber security is adequate to prevent any of these threats. Adequate security will as well ensure that the smart grid operates adequately as it is viewed that is by providing safe, reliable and uninterrupted supply of power to the consumers with a regular flow of end to end information that are all secure. The smart grid environment will ensure that the electric power infrastructure is modern. This is majorly by combining the present functionalities and the future ones with the upgraded requirements to the users

The term "smart grid" refers to the transformation of the traditional electric power grid into a modern grid. Modernization of the present electric power system is an important step to implement the Smart Grid technology. The structure of the existing power sector in Bangladesh is almost a hundred years old. Due to which the power sector of Bangladesh facing huge power wastage. A Smart Grid also ensures the efficient transmission and distribution of electric power. This paper gives a brief description of Smart Grid, the latest trends, challenges, prospects, cost analysis of smart grid equipment, and its facility. The spotlight of this paper is to implement the Smart Grid's perspective to Bangladesh. That’s included to have new distributed generation technology, smart meter, a pilot project, etc. Also, the main objective of this paper is the comprehensive development of transmission and distribution loss reduction, which will be saving a big amount of capital every year. And that will play a huge role in the economy of Bangladesh to move forward in global progress.
