The complete genome sequences of two virulent lineage IV peste des petits ruminants viruses (PPRVs) isolated from clinically infected goats in the Indian subcontinent are reported here. This is the first report of a complete genome sequence of a virulent PPRV isolate from India in recent decades.

Here, we report complete genome sequences of grapevine yellow speckle viroid 1 (GYSVd1) and hop stunt viroid (HSVd), members of the family Pospiviroidae , assembled from the transcriptome data generated from Ixeridium dentatum plants. To our knowledge, this is the first report of GYSVd1 and HSVd in I. dentatum .

The full-length genomes of two isolates of Rice yellow mottle virus from Ethiopia were sequenced. A comparison with 28 sequences from East Africa showed that they clustered within a new strain named S4et, related to the S4mg and S4ug strains found in the Lake Victoria Basin and Madagascar, respectively.

The complete genome sequences of pepper mild mottle virus (PMMoV)-P2 and -P3 were determined by the Sanger sequencing method. Although PMMoV-P2 and PMMoV-P3 have different pathogenicity in some pepper cultivars, the complete genome sequences of PMMoV-P2 and -P3 are composed of 6,356 nucleotides (nt). In this study, we report the complete genome sequences and genome organization of PMMoV-P2 and -P3 isolates from pepper species in South Korea.

ABSTRACT We report four full-genome sequences of bovine coronavirus (BCoV) isolates from dairy calves in Pennsylvania obtained in 2016 and 2017. BCoV is a pathogen of great importance to cattle health, and this is the first report of full-genome sequences of BCoV from PA cattle.

Three complete genomes of beak and feather disease virus (BFDV) were recovered from wild musk lorikeets (Glossopsitta concinna). The genomes consisted of 2,008 to 2,010 nucleotides (nt) and encode two major proteins transcribing in opposing directions. This is the first report of BFDV complete genome sequences obtained from this host species.

Two divergent isolates of turnip yellows virus (TuYV) were identified in pea and rapeseed. The nearly complete genome sequences of the virus isolates share 93.3% nucleotide identity with each other and 89.7% and 92.9% with their closest isolate from South Africa.

Rice yellow mottle virus in Senegal is reported here for the first time. The near-complete genomic sequences of two isolates (Se1 and Se5) were obtained. A comparison with 18 sequences from West Africa revealed a new cluster with an isolate from Gambia, located at a basal position in the phylogenetic tree.

This is the first report of two near-complete genome sequences of foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) serotype O from Kenya. The viruses were isolated from bovine epithelium collected in 2014 and 2016 from local FMD outbreaks. These full-genome sequences are critical for improving the understanding of regional FMDV molecular epidemiology.

Canis familiaris oral papillomavirus, formerly canine oral papillomavirus, is a causative agent of the self-resolving canine oral papillomatosis and was first described in 1994. This is the first report of two full-length genome sequences described in South Africa and indicates the highly conserved nature of Canis familiaris oral papillomavirus.
