Based on the mathematical model of synchronous electric machine, basing on permanent magnets, presented in this paper, the key importance of alternator AC power sources in the form of generator (for conventional aircraft) and in the form of integrated unit starter/AC synchronous generator S/G AC (with respect to advanced aircraft concept in the field of more/all electric power MEA/AEA) was highlighted. In addition, through the analysis and selected simulations of the power supply system of a modern aircrafts, sources of onboard electrical energy (synchronous generator, integrated unit starter/AC generator) were located in board autonomic power system ASE (EPS, PES). Key components of this system are the electro-energetic power system EPS and the energo-electronic power system PES. Additionally, the analysis and exemplary simulations of key electricity sources based on mathematical models have contributed to highlighting the main practical applications in line with the trend of a more electric aircraft.

The existing centralized power supply system has the alternative due to distributed generation. By certain conditions distributed cogeneration allows to increase the reliability and quality of power supply and to reduce the cost of electricity for consumers. Therefore, a lot of energy-intensive consumers switched to their own power supply systems, as it turned out to be a competitive technical solution. The total gasification of the country’s regions and the presence of domestic manufacturers of gas turbine and gas piston power plants accelerated this process. Nowadays local power systems are emerging with cogeneration plants are the main source of heat and electricity there. The feasibility justification of the kind and type of generation is determined by many factors, including circuit-mode parameters in the local power system and adjacent network. Local power systems based on the principles of self-balance are proposed to name as energy cells. The integration of energy cells with regional power system increases the technical and economic effectiveness of power supply system for consumers. The proposed power systems transition leads to certain systemic effects. Received effects are depending on functions of distributed generation. This paper explores the impact of scheme and mode factor on the technical effects.

Today, one of the urgent problems of car operation is the problem of fuel overheating at elevated ambient temperatures, resulting in an error " fuel overheating" on the car, which in turn affects the car’s performance. This article presents research on testing fuel heat exchangers as part of a car’s fuel system by improving the design of the car’s power system. Three experiments were carried out to determine the temperature regime of the vehicle’s power supply system. Positive results of the work were obtained, which made it possible to eliminate the occurrence of the error " fuel overheating" and obtain stabilization of the fuel temperature. Keywords: power system, heat exchanger, cooling

The occurrence of a natural disaster such as a strong earthquake affects not only the capacity of a city’s power supply system but also the normal operation of other lifeline systems. An urban emergency power supply system is used to manage the power supply restoration with the consumers divided into three types based on their impact and importance during a power failure. In this study, a power supply system equipped to meet the requirements of different restoration level facilities and enable the restoration of power after the occurrence of an earthquake was developed. A three-stage power restoration curve was formulated based on the postearthquake recovery process. The relative importance factors of consumers can be calculated with a normalization model based on membership degree. These relative importance factors were then combined with the postearthquake recovery capabilities of each consumer to calculate the overall recovery capability and equilibrium degree of the urban power system. Using the two foregoing indicators, the power supply recovery level of the power system after an earthquake was quantitatively analyzed, and the power supply scheme of the consumers with different power supply guarantee types was rationally optimized.
