ABSTRAKPemerintah pusat terus menggalakkan pencegahan dan pengendalian Covid-19, melalui Gugus Tugas COVID-19. Salah satu cara untuk menjaga daya tahan tubuh dari serangan virus corona adalah dengan mengkonsumsi vitamin atau suplemen. Informasi vitamin/suplemen yang akan disebarkan pada pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah vitamin C, Zink, dan Vitamin D3 di wilayah Desa Pemecutan Kaja, Kecamatan Denpasar Utara, Kota Denpasar dengan sasaran ibu-ibu PKK. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan edukasi terkait pentingnya mengkonsumsi suplemen kesehatan dimasa pandemi COVID-19 dan bagaimana mengkonsumsi suplemen/vitamin dimasa pandemi COVID-19. Metode kegiatan ini dengan memberikan edukasi berupa poster secara langsung dan e-booklet melalui whatsapp grup kepada ibu-ibu PKK dan pengukuran pengetahuan dilakukan sebelum dan setelah pemberian edukasi. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan ibu PKK secara signifikan (p=0,000) yakni dari skor baik semula berjumlah 19% meningkat menjadi 98% partisipan. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tujuan dari program kerja tercapai, yaitu peningkatan pengetahuan partisipan ibu-ibu PKK terhadap penggunaan suplemen kesehatan di masa pandemi covid-19. Kata kunci: edukasi; suplemen; covid-19. ABSTRACTThe central government continues to promote the prevention and control of Covid-19, through the COVID-19 task force.One way to maintain the immune system from the corona virus is to take vitamins or supplements. Information on vitamins/supplements that will be distributed in this community service is vitamin C, Zink, and Vitamin D3 in the Pemecutan Kaja Village area, North Denpasar District, Denpasar City with the target of PKK women. The purpose of this activity is to provide education regarding the importance of consuming health supplements during the COVID-19 pandemic and how to take supplements/vitamins during the COVID-19 pandemic. The method of this activity is to provide education in the form of direct posters and e-booklets via whatsapp groups to PKK women and knowledge measurements are carried out before and after providing education. The results obtained were that there was a significant increase in the knowledge of PKK women (p = 0.000), namely from the original good score of 19%, it increased to 98% of participants. The data shows that the goal of the work program was achieved, namely increasing the knowledge of PKK women on the use of health supplements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Keywords: education; supplements; covid-19.

Three experiments were conducted in a climatic chamber to determine the effects of vitamins D3 and C supplementation on performance, body temperature, and egg quality under thermoneutral temperature (24.8º to 27.0º C), a cyclic heat stress (26.2º C for 16 h and 32.1º C for 8 h) and a constant heat stress (30.0º to 32.0º C) for three weeks in each temperature. One hundred forty-four White Leghorn hens aged 31 weeks were used in a completely randomized design with a factorial arrangement of 3 x 3: vitamin D3 (2,500, 3,000, and 3,500 IU/kg) and vitamin C (0, 200, and 400 ppm), with a total of nine treatments with four replicates of four hens each. Parameters measured included feed intake (FI), feed:gain (FG), egg production (EP), egg weight (EW), egg mass (EM), rectal (RT) and dorsal temperatures (DT), percentages of albumen (AP) and yolk (YP), Haugh units (HU), yolk index (YI), shell percent (SP), shell thickness (ST) and egg specific gravity (ESG). Vitamin D3 influenced the parameters SP, ST, ESG and DT; vitamin C influenced YI, SP and ESG. There was no influence of environmental temperature only on HU. It was concluded that higher levels of vitamin D3 and 200 or 400 ppm of vitamin C can be improve eggshell quality and that heat stress impaired the main characteristics evaluated.

Latar Belakang Lupus eritematosus sistemik (Systemic Lupus Erythematosus)(SLE) merupakan penyakit inflamasi autoimun kronis dengan etiologi yang belum diketahui serta manifestasi klinis. Laporan Kasus Nn.M, Perempuan, 20 Tahun dikonsul dengan bagian penyakit bagian Interna divisi Ginjal Hipertensi untuk evaluasi dan penatalaksanaan gizi serta rawat bersama dengan diagnosis medis Sistemik Lupus Eritematosus dan anoreksia Asupan makan berkurang dialami sejak 2 minggu yang lalu karena tidak ada nafsu makan. Mual ada setiap kali makan, muntah tidak ada, nyeri ulu hati ada, demam tidak ada, riwayat demam ada terutama malam hari, badan lemas,tidak mampu berdiri maupun duduk sendiri, batuk ada sejak 2 minggu, lendir ada. Penurunan berat badan ada ±4 kg dalam 2 minggu(BB dulu 35 kg). Asupan 24 jam 97,5 kkal. Pasien didiagnosis dengan status gizi buruk, status metabolik anemia (Hb 6,2 g/dl), deplesi berat sistem imun (TLC 400/uL), Hipertrigliseridemia 236 mg/dl, risiko refeeding, hipoalbumin berat 2.2 g/dl dan status gastrointestinal fungsional. Penatalaksanaan nutrisi dengan target awal energi 2000 kkal, oleh karena pasien dengan resiko refeeding maka dilakukan penatalaksanaan nutrisi 10-15 kkal/hari selama 3 hari  dengan pemberian thiamin 300 mg/hari serta perbaikan kadar kalium darah. Setelah terlewati 3 hari , nutrisi dinaikkan sesuai toleransi pasien sampai 2500 kkal dengan komposisi protein 2 gr/kg BBI/hari(16%), karbohidrat 60%, lemak 24% melalui oral berupa makanan lunak sesuai toleransi, formula nutrican, jus buah tinggi kalium, madu,  dan olive oil, zink 20 mg/24 jam, Ca hydrogen phosphate 400 mg, Ca laktat 200 mg, Vitamin B6 40 mg, Vitamin C 50 mg, Vitamin D3 200 IU, fish oil(EPA) 2000 mg/24 jam, ekstrak ikan gabus 3 kapsul/8 jam. Setelah 15 hari perawatan, status gizi buruk dengan perbaikan pasien secara klinis(IMT 14,5 kg/m2), hemoglobin 10.7 g/dl, deplesi berat sistem imun (TLC 600/uL), hipoalbumin ringan 3.1 gr/dL. Kesimpulan Dukungan nutrisi optimal dapat membantu untuk mengendalikan inflamasi yang ditemukan akibat penyakit SLE dan komplikasi yang disebabkan efek samping pengobatan.

Objective: Apart from having various physiological functions in the body, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) also have a key role in skin protection. However, their bioavailability is quite limited in the skin, and therefore, many cosmetic products are supplemented with these vitamins, which are usually associated with stability issues. To avoid these issues, here we report on the preparation of microsponges of these vitamins for topical application.Methods: The microsponges were prepared through various emulsification-solvent evaporation methods involving single (O/O, O/W) or double (W/O/O, W/O/W, S/O/W) emulsion. The organic internal phase was consisted of Eudragit® RS 100 polymer dissolved in an organic solvent such as acetone or dichloromethane, at a constant polymer to drug ratio of 2:1. The prepared microsponges were characterized for their entrapment efficiency, droplet size and uniformity, core to wall interaction, and surface morphology.Results: It was found that the W/O/W and S/O/W are suitable methods for the preparation of vitamin C microsponges and O/W is a suitable method for the preparation of vitamin D3 microsponges; ensuring an encapsulation efficiency of around 56-59% and 93%, respectively. The average diameter of vitamin C and D3 microsponges was typically around 56-68 μm and 48 μm, respectively.Conclusion: It is possible to encapsulate both water and oil soluble vitamins in a microsponge system at an appreciable entrapment efficiency. The findings of the present study are expected to play a vital role in the development of cosmeceuticals.

Vitamin B1 (= Thiamin) Beim septischen Schock weisen erste Studien mit relativ kleinen Fallzahlen auf positive Effekte einer frühzeitigen Vitamin-B1-/Thiamin-Substitution in Bezug auf Laktatclearance, Nierenfunktion und Letalität, insbesondere bei Patienten mit Thiaminmangel hin. Da ein Thiaminmangel bei Intensivpatienten häufig ist, sollte eine Thiamin-Substitution in ausreichender Dosierung bei allen Sepsispatienten mit Laktatazidose erwogen werden. Vitamin C Vitamin C besitzt multiple biologische Funktionen, die sich im Rahmen einer Sepsis günstig auswirken könnten. Die Applikation von hochdosiertem Vitamin C in Kombination mit Thiamin und Hydrokortison war in einer viel diskutierten, 2017 veröffentlichten klinischen Studie mit einer drastischen Senkung der Sepsisletalität assoziiert. In mehreren prospektiven randomisierten Studien wird die Wirksamkeit dieses Therapiekonzepts derzeit unabhängig voneinander überprüft. Vitamin D Auch der Einsatz von Vitamin D3 bei der Sepsis ist aus pathophysiologischer Sicht insbesondere bei Mangelzuständen ein vielversprechender Ansatz, allerdings ist der Wert einer therapeutischen Substitution derzeit noch nicht gesichert.
