In the modern educational space regarding the realities of the information society special importance is attached to issues related to the provision of a high level of informatization of education, which implies teachers’ mastering the necessary competencies and the ability to introduce e-learning resources into educational and training practice. Adobe Flash as one of the platforms for creating web applications and multimedia presentations enjoys greatest popularity with users including teachers. However, in connection with the announcement of discontinuing Adobe Flash support in 2020, the issue of choosing an analog to create web applications and presentations for use in teaching purposes is becoming particularly relevant. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of developing electronic educational resources by teachers using Adobe Flash and HTML5 for teaching math in primary school.

Knowledge extraction, data mining, e-learning or web applications platforms use heterogeneous and distributed data. The proliferation of these multifaceted platforms faces many challenges such as high scalability, the coexistence of complex similarity metrics, and the requirement of data quality evaluation. In this study, an extended complete formal taxonomy and some algorithms that utilize in achieving the detection and correction of contextual data quality anomalies were developed and implemented on structured data. Our methods were effective in detecting and correcting more data anomalies than existing taxonomy techniques, and also highlighted the demerit of Support Vector Machine (SVM). These proposed techniques, therefore, will be of relevance in detection and correction of errors in large contextual data (Big data).

The MOOC of this course aims to train students to use information technology in the context of Arabic so that their communication skills can be improved. Students are exposed to the world of technology and its role in applying Arabic in the context of Arabic language content development. Students are taught to use computers and the internet through the activation of Arabic characters in various software such as office software, graphics, multimedia, web applications and e-learning. A student-centered teaching approach through active learning, practical training, group discussions, assignments, presentations and practical projects. All content is provided in the form of videos, notes and links to other sources. Each topic is reinforced with activities in the form of quizzes assisted by Web 2.0 applications. The interactive process for this course is through comments and conversation space that can improve communication skills.

In this work, based on the results obtained concerning the analysis and the needs of our project which concerns the design and development of an e-Learning project management system, we present the modeling stage with UML. Based on one hand, on two diagrams: class diagram and use case diagram, for static modeling and on the other hand, based on three diagrams: activity diagram, sequence diagram, diagram transition state for dynamic modeling. Finally, we offer examples of models for our project.

This chapter proposes a new way to improve the cognitive load and construction of e-learning environments making them more usable and accessible using emerging design. This causes a significant improvement in cognitive load. Accessibility within the area of Web applications, is actually present in different laws of many countries, trying that information could be used for everyone. This objective is limited when you are dealing with severe disabilities. An example of this is people with hearing disabilities who have never hear or speak. To solve these problems the authors propose a platform that brings a complete solution to accessibility.

Despite the development of mobile device technology over recent years, its application in the field of teaching has not yet had a parallel development. For the past two decades teaching subjects such as histology has undergone a change in the digital use of its content and didactic methods based on Web applications, e-learning portals, etc., in which the use of high definition images enables the substitution of the light microscope for a “virtual microscope”. This paper describes a mobile device solution based on the use of Near Field Communication technology for supporting teaching in medical histology. The didactic contents are managed in a database which stores information and images corresponding to the histological slides that are handed out to students in the glass slides for their analysis under a microscope. By associating a single NFC chip to each glass slide and touching this chip with a smartphone, students are given access to all the multimedia information related to the histological slides, without needing a mobile device. The system developed, called HistoNFC, enables access to this information at any moment, as well as the follow-up to the didactic activity and student evaluation. Evaluation of the system has been carried out by histology students of medical degree at the University of Córdoba, assessing aspects of the assisted-learning process as well as technologies, and the results obtained have been very favorable for both, as can be seen in detail in this study.
