Weather events are arbitrary, and this makes it difficult to incorporate weather parameters into transportation models. Recent research on traffic weather interaction analysis conducted at the University of Regina, Canada reported traffic variations with cold temperatures and snowfall. The research team at the University of Regina proposed a linear association between snowfall and temperature to analyze the traffic variation on provincial highways during winter months. The variations were studies with the inclusion of the expected daily volume factor as an independent variable in the model structure. However, the study did not analyze the nature of the association between daily truck traffic volume and snowfall. Based on these drawbacks of the past studies, in this research, the objective is to focus on the effects of snow and temperature on traffic volume changes with a methodological help of Maximal Information Coefficient (MIC), which stems from the maximal information-based nonparametric exploration (MINE) statistics. The results obtained from the analysis indicate that the relationship between snow and truck traffic is non-linear. However, the study could not establish any functional relationship between snowfall and daily truck volume. It is desired to further conduct an hourly analysis to explore a new relationship between snowfall and truck volume.

One of the most important factors in the structure of the pile foundation in the construction of the bridge is the carrying capacity of the soil so as not to collapse. Construction of a bridge in the village of Klitik in Jombang Regency to be built due to heavy traffic volume. The foundation plan to be used is a pile foundation with a diameter of 50 cm, the problem is what is the value of carrying capacity of soil and material. The equipment used is the Dutch Cone Penetrometer with a capacity of 2.50 tons with an Adhesion Jacket Cone. The detailed specifications of this sondir are as follows: Area conus 10 cm², piston area 10 cm², coat area 100 cm², as for the results obtained The carrying capacity of the soil is 60.00 tons for a diameter of 30 cm, 81,667 tons for a diameter of 35 cm, 106,667 tons for a diameter of 40 cm, 150,000 tons for a diameter of 50 cm for material strength of 54,00 tons for a diameter of 30 cm, 73,500 tons for a diameter of 35 cm, 96,00 tons for a diameter of 40 cm, 166,666 tons for a diameter of 50 cm

Jalan Temanggung Tilung is a 2/2 UD type road (two undirected two-way lanes) with a road width of 5.5 meters, which is a connecting road between two major roads, namely the RTA road. Milono and the path of G. Obos. Over time, the volume of traffic through these roads increases every year, plus roadside activities that also increase cause congestion at several points of the way. To overcome this problem, the local government carried out road widening to increase the capacity and level of road services. The study was conducted to determine the amount of traffic volume, performance, service level of the Temanggung Tilung road section at peak traffic hours before and after road widening. Data retrieval is done by the direct survey to the field to obtain primary data in the form of geometric road data, two-way traffic volume data, and side obstacle data. Performance analysis refers to the 1997 Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) for urban roads. From the results of data processing, before increasing the road (Type 2/2 UD), the traffic volume that passes through the path is 842 pcs/hour and after road widening (Type 4/2 UD) the traffic volume for two directions is 973 pcs/hour, with route A equaling 528 pcs/hour and direction B equaling 445 pcs/hour. Based on the analysis of road performance before road enhancement, the capacity = 2551 pcs/hour, saturation degree = 0.331, and the service level of the two-way road are level B. Based on the analysis of the performance of the way after increasing the way, the direction capacity A = 2686 pcs/hour and direction B = 2674 pcs /hour, saturation degree for direction A = 0.196 and direction B = 0.166, service level for road direction A and direction B increase to level A

The article deals with statistics on the development of Bicycle roads in Russia and in the world, as well as design methods for a specific section of the connection of Bicycle routes in St. Petersburg. The article discusses the experience of using and entering bike paths based on the experience of Finland, as well as the types of bike paths and infrastructure features for metropolises. A model for creating a bike path by partially narrowing the roadway, graphical functions, and analytical information are provided. Practical examples of changing the infrastructure for bike paths are given. Keywords: bike path, traffic volume, design the roadway, lane width.

Abstract Research Question What happened to US traffic safety during the first US COVID-19 lockdown, and why was the pattern the opposite of that observed in previous sudden declines of traffic volume? Data National and local statistics on US traffic volume, traffic fatalities, injury accidents, speeding violations, running of stop signs, and other indicators of vehicular driving behavior, both in 2020 and in previous US economic recessions affecting the volume of road traffic. Methods Comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between the data for the COVID-19 lockdown in parts of the USA in March 2020 and similar data for the 2008–2009 global economic crisis, as well as other US cases of major reductions in traffic volume. Findings The volume of traffic contracted sharply once a COVID-19 national emergency was declared and most states issued stay-at-home orders, but motor vehicle fatality rates, injury accidents, and speeding violations went up, and remained elevated even as traffic began returning toward normal. This pattern does not fit post-World War II recessions where fatality rates declined with the volume of traffic nor does the 2020 pattern match the pattern during World War II when traffic dropped substantially with little change in motor vehicle fatality rates. Conclusions The findings are consistent with a theory of social distancing on highways undermining compliance with social norms, a social cost of COVID which, if not corrected, poses potential long-term increases in non-compliance and dangerous driving.
