Purpose: The goal of this study is to make an attempt to find out the relationships between infrastructural investments and economic growth. Design/Methodology/Approach: The study employs time series data over the years from 1972 to 2020. To observe the long-run and short-run impact of infrastructural investments on economic growth, an ARDL modeling approach to co- integration is used that is most suitable technique over some other techniques of integration after inspecting the stationary level of data via ADF test. Findings: The findings of the study indicate that Investments on Railways, Roads, Gas Projects, Telecommunication, Water Projects and Power Projects appear as efficient factors for enhancing economic growth of Pakistan in the long run. Implications/Originality/Value: It is suggested that government should increase the public and private investment for development of Railways, Roads, Telecommunication and Water projects in Pakistan.

The recent past has seen many interventions aimed at merging traditional records management approaches with emerging trends such as electronic records (e-Records), electronic government (e-Government) and Knowledge Management (KM). This has largely cascaded from the belief that appropriate records management practices may positively contribute to transparency, accountability, efficiency and increased productivity both in the public and private sector business value chains. However, realization of the full potential of records management in the realm of e-Government cannot be achieved if multi-disciplinary factors impacting on records management are ignored when drawing implementation strategies and roadmaps. This chapter utilizes extensive literature reviews to probe the best ways of implementing records management with KM in the public sector in the context of e-Government. The chapter posits that the application of KM is still in its infancy as the concept had yet to take root in the public sector.

This chapter explores how the postwar reality is complicated, and a major aspect of that complexity was the different balance, in different places and moments of time, between public and private power and resources. Although there was little escaping the necessity of involving private investment in urban redevelopment, the authority of the public realm over private sector activity varied and made a difference. The chapter follows the evolution of the liberal city-building project over the postwar period, with particular attention to the shifting balance of power between the public and private realms, its implications, and, through this case, the historical evolution of postwar liberalism.

The purpose of the article is to consider the issues and prospects for the development of public-private partnership in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and limited investment resources. It is proved that a new and quite effective form of integration cooperation of public sector enterprises and private business is the mechanism of public-private partnership, which has not become widespread in Ukraine and in other countries due to the complex mechanism of its implementation. It is substantiated that the urgent task for the public and private sector is to develop an optimal mechanism of cooperation through the involvement of private investment funds in infrastructure projects, search for foreign investors and partners, development of public-private relations. It is established that the most popular areas for PPP projects are the social sphere (education, medicine), transport (road infrastructure, rail transport, sea and river ports, airports), energy (construction and reconstruction of power plants, management of energy facilities) and utilities. economy (water supply, sewerage systems). It is proved that the main reason for the popularity of PPP projects is the constant need for financial resources, which are always lacking in the public sector, minimizing risks for all stakeholders, which reduces the burden on the state budget of Ukraine. The most urgent problems that create obstacles for the development of PPP in Ukraine and the world are outlined. It is proposed to improve PPPs for synergetic interaction between the public and private sectors in the direction of creating a base and foundation to ensure the possibility of expanding financial resources to the budget sphere, through national and foreign investments, which will improve the quality of goods and services population.

<div><p><em>Eggplant is a widely grown species among the Solanaceous crops in both greenhouses and the open field, consumed throughout all the year, it is very popular in Turkey. Eggplant breeding programs were carried out for improving open pollinated varieties launched for the public sector in the earlier 1960’s. Many important open pollinated varieties which still maintains its importance today by the growers were developed. Hybrid eggplant breeding studies were first conducted at the Bati Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute (BATEM) with the breeding project given support by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock. Breeding studies focused on yield, fruit quality, and the development of long F1 hybrid varieties suitable for growing protected cultivation, parthenocarpy, and biotic (Fusarium and Verticillium) stress resistance/tolerance. Resistance sources of Fusarium ox. sp. melongenae</em><em> </em><em>and its inheritance against had been investigated and a genetic linkage map has been constructed. Several projects, supported by both public and private sectors, have been carried out for twenty years. As an outline of the projects, four F1 hybrids were developed and about 300 disease resistant inbred lines were transferred to special seed companies supporting the project financially. Additionally, a study was performed on morphologic and molecular characterization, and phylogenetic relationship of local genotypes. Also, considerable scientific publications were produced from these studies and shared by both scientists and breeders.</em></p></div>

Today, the role of government spending which is considered as the main instrument in the promotion of economic development is seen in the public investment budget (PIB). This study analyzes the role of the public investment spending in the economic growth of Cameroon. Specifically, it brings out the effect of Public and Private Investment on GDP growth in Cameroon. The role of the PIB as an instigator of economic growth should be clarified in order to justify government investment expenditure. Many studies have analysed the relationship between government spending and economic growth but the analysis of the composition of government spending and induced economic growth is an aspect of economic analysis which deserves more interest. This study analysis the effect of government investment spending on economic growth in Cameroon going from the components of the GDP5 and using VAR (Vector Auto Regressive) model. Our results show the intervals in which the various components of government spending have an effect on economic growth in Cameroon. We find that the lagged GDP and government investments have a positive effect on growth whereas private investments affect it negatively.

The need to attract resources to socially significant infrastructure facilities, decentralize authority, market orientation of public services, efficiency and competition requires the search for a combination of opportunities for cooperation between the public and private sectors. A public-private partnership has become one of the modern approaches to the implementation of socially important projects. The study identified the degree of impact of the partnership between the state and business, as a mechanism of decentralization of public administration, on the factors of social responsibility. The methodological approach involved the analysis of the existing research on social responsibility of public-private partnership by identifying and comparing key factors of social responsibility; determination of variables that describe them, and conducting econometric analysis of established variables. It is proved that in addition to overcoming the budget deficit, contributing to economic performance, public-private partnership involves social responsibility. The activity of public-private partnerships (private investment in infrastructure projects) is found to have impact on innovation, the environment, health care, the rule of law, and unemployment rates. There is a need to conduct further research with an expanded number of countries and factors that describe social responsibility of public-private partnership.

This essay aims to test the hypothesis held by the Theory of Financial Liberalisation in the sense that financial resources diverted by non-market forces are inefficiently allocated, ergo, public investment is less productive than private investment. The relationship between public and &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;private investment and the productivity in both the public and the private&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;sectors are then analysed in search of empirical evidence to discern the endurance of such hypothesis throughout the changing evolution of the Mexican financial system since 1970 up to 2019. The paper is arranged in four sections. Firstly, some historical financial liberalisation events are put forward. Secondly, theoretical issues concerning the concept&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;of productivity of the two types of investment are discussed. It also reviews empirical work done on the productivity in less-developed countries. Thirdly, an attempt to measure productivity of both public and private investment in Mexico is made. It then describes the methodology and the estimation results obtained for Mexico are launched. Finally, main conclusions are delivered.
