ABSTRACT Introduction: Variably present rotator interval capsular openings (RICOs) complicate anterior shoulder capsular anatomy. Open and arthroscopic approaches may lead to differences in the appearance and size of RICOs. The purposes of this study are to: (1) Confirm that RICOs viewed from inside and outside the joint are the same structures, and (2) compare the size of RICOs when approached in an open manner vs arthroscopically. Materials and methods Twelve fresh cadaveric shoulders were randomized to two different approaches in order to identify and mark RICOs. In the first group, the superior glenohumeral ligament (SGHL) and middle glenohumeral ligament (MGHL) were marked arthroscopically. Sutures were placed in these structures in an open fashion. Repeat arthroscopy was then performed to determine whether the sutures penetrated the marked SGHL and MGHL. In the second group, these steps were reversed and arthroscopically placed sutures were evaluated in an open manner. Dimensions of the RICOs were measured both arthroscopically and open in each shoulder. Results All specimens had a RICO visualized both arthroscopically and open. Five of 12 specimens had an additional second RICO. RICO size measurements were similar for the arthroscopic and open techniques. Sutures placed via both the arthroscopic and open technique were noted to penetrate the marked structures in all cases. In addition, sutures placed through the SGHL while viewing arthroscopically always captured the coracohumeral ligament (CHL). Sutures placed through the SGHL with an open technique never engaged the CHL. Conclusion The capsular openings in the rotator interval were confirmed to be the same structures when observed arthroscopically and through an open approach. Svoboda SJ, Taylor DC, Magnussen RA. The late-cocking phase of throwing is characterized by extreme external rotation of the abducted arm; repeated stress in this position is a potential source of glenohumeral joint laxity. To determine the ligamentous restraints for external rotation in this position, 20 cadaver shoulders (mean age, 65 16 years) were dissected, leaving the rotator cuff tendons, coracoacromial ligament, glenohumeral capsule and ligaments, and coracohumeral ligament intact. The combined superior and middle glenohumeral ligaments, anterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament, and the entire inferior glenohumeral ligament were marked with sutures during arthroscopy. Specimens were mounted in a testing apparatus to simulate the late-cocking position. Forces of 22 N were applied to each of the rotator cuff tendons. An external rotation torque (0.06 N m/sec to a peak of 3.4 N m) was applied to the humerus of each specimen with the capsule intact and again after a single randomly chosen ligament was cut (N 5 in each group). Cutting the entire inferior glenohumeral ligament resulted in the greatest increase in external rotation (10.2° 4.9°). This was not significantly different from sectioning the coracohumeral ligament (8.6° 7.3°). The anterior band of the inferior glenohumeral ligament (2.7° 1.5°) and the superior and middle glenohumeral ligaments (0.7° 0.3°) were significantly less important in limiting external rotation.

The article focuses on economic analysis in cases of violation of the Russian antimonopoly legislation. It presents quantitative characteristics of various tools of economic analysis, prescribed by the rules of analysis and assessment of competition, developed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service. They are based on a small sample of cases filed by the Russian competition authorities. Sources of demand for higher standards of economic analysis in cases of violation of antitrust laws are under consideration.

In these studies, a comprehensive assessment of the effect of the drugs «Carofertin» and «Hemobalance» on the reproductive function of oocyte donor cows was carried out. At the same time, the effect of these drugs on the biochemical parameters of blood serum, as well as on the concentration of progesterone, carotene in the experimental groups and the activity of the ovaries in the experimental animals was assessed. An increase in the activity of alkaline phosphatase in the first and third experimental groups was found, which amounted to 128.80 and 104.6 IU / L. There was also a decrease in the concentration of cholesterol in the experimental groups compared with the control. The maximum concentration of carotene was noted in the experimental group No. 1, which were injected with «Carofertin» subcutaneously, and in the experimental group No. 3, which were injected with «Carofertin» and «Hemobalance». The maximum concentration of progesterone was also noted in groups No. 3 and No. 1 and amounted to 21.98±3.03 and 17.01±9.68 nmol / l, respectively. In the course of ultrasound examination of the ovaries in experimental animals, a relationship was noted between the concentration of progesterone and the intensity of the blood supply of the corpus luteum on the ovaries in experimental animals. Subsequently, in one animal from each experimental group, oocytes were aspirated (OPU) twice with an interval of two weeks and their qualitative and quantitative characteristics were assessed. The maximum number of oocytes suitable for use was noted in the experimental group No. 3, which was injected with both study drugs.

The paper deals with the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of urban discharge. Ratios for urban discharge and recipient flow during different time intervals are presented and discussed. The quality of the urban discharge is illustrated through pollutographs.
