This paper describes the analysis of high temperature influence on beams with heated tensile zone. High temperature experiments were preformed under the static load of 50 or 70% of the destructive force ensuring constant value of bending moment in the central part of the heated beam. Beams with 2 reinforcement ratios – 0.44 and 1.13% were examined. In total four series of beams, three in each series (12 elements) were used. This paper analyses the reduction of relative beam cross section stiffness depending on reinforcement temperature. Experimentally obtained stiffness values calculated in two ways (element maximal deflection and deflection measured in three points of analysed element) were compared to calculation results made according to Eurocode. The performed analysis shows that reduction of the stiffness of element based on Eurocode calculations is slightly bigger than the experimentally obtained one.

Hamelia patens Jacq. (Texas firebush) is a long-day plant for flower initiation and flower development; however, flower development is more sensitive to photoperiod than is flower initiation. The critical photoperiod for flower development at 25C is between 12 and 16 hours. Flowering was delayed under low light conditions, and plant dry weight was heavier and flowering time was earlier for plants grown at a constant 25 or 30C than at 20C. A greenhouse environment with a 16-hour photoperiod and moderately high temperature (25C) would be appropriate for production of H. patens.

PTC level sensor for overfill protection works based on the thermal resistance (Rw). The sensor cannot identify high-temperature fluid in the container and determine the pump switching status “ON” and “OFF”. This is due to the influence of the medium temperature on the Rw. Analysis is performed by observing the Rw value of crude palm oil (CPO) as a result of the storage temperature. The Rw value was obtained from the modeling of I (U) sensor curve of EPCOS B59050D1100 with temperature variations ranging from 20°C to 80°C. The modeled area is then determined using the isothermal curve and is resulted Rw value of 110.2K/W. The ambient temperature influence on Rw can be modeled after polynomial equation. Compare to the previous air measurement, the thermal resistance in CPO has 62.6% vary than in the air. This value can be used to determine the position of the level sensor switch safely. Keywords: level sensors, PTC, thermal resistance, CPO, isothermal
