Syzygium campanulatum and Syzygium aromaticum contains antioxidant components suchas flavonoids, phenolic, and terpenoids. May have hepatoprotective properties in reducing SGPT and SGOT activity. This research wants to determine the potency of hepatoprotective of ethanolic extract of Syzygium campanulatum (Korth) and Syzygium aromaticum leaf compared with curcuma tablets. This research uses 24 male Wistar rats divided into 6 groups: I, II, III (as a normal, induction, and compared control), group IV, V, VI were treated 105, 210, and 420 mg/kg BW respectively. The study was conducted for 9 days. After 7 days of treatment, treated groups were exposed by hepatotoxic dose of paracetamol (2000 mg/kg BW). The SGPT and SGOT activity of all groups was measured by enzimatic assay. The result can be concluded that Syzygium campanulatum extract was found to be active as hepatoprotective agent with 210 mg/kg BW dosage (SGPT 21.76 ± 3.98 U/L and SGOT 7.32±6.74U/L) as eff ective as with the curcuma tablets (SGPT 23.91 ± 4.41 U/L and SGOT 14.12±5.37 U/L) and the hepatoprotective activity of Syzygium campanulatum extract at a dosage 420 mg/kg BW better than curcuma tablets (SGPT 12.43 ± 6.51 U/L and SGOT 6.64 ± 5.88 U/L). While the hepatoprotec Syzygium campanulatum and Syzygium aromaticum contains antioxidant components such as flavonoids, phenolic, and terpenoids.May have hepatoprotective properties in reducing SGPT and SGOT activity. This study was performed to investigate the effects of aqueous Imperata cylindrica root extract on hepatic enzyme levels of alloxan-induced diabetic male Wistar rats. Forty (48) male wistar rats were divided into six groups consisting of eight animals each. Diabetes mellitus was induced using intraperitoneal administration 150 mg/kg body weight of alloxan and treatment was carried out for a period of 28 days. The first group served as the normal control and received only feed and water ad libitum. In Group 2 were diabetic rats without treatment with extracts. Group 3: diabetic rats treated with 200 mg/kg aqueous Imperata cylindrica root extract. Group 4: diabetic rats treated with 400mg/kg aqueous Imperata cylindrica root extract. Group 5: diabetic rats treated with 600mg/kg ethanol extract of aqueous Imperata cylindrica root extract. While Group 6 was diabetic rats treated with 0.5mg/kg Glibenclamide. The liver enzymes alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase levels were significantly (p < 0.05) changed in rats treated with Alloxan (150mg/kg b.w.) while treatment with the respective dosages of extracts significantly changed the levels of these parameters to normal. The results obtained indicate that the different doses of aqueous Imperata cylindrica root extracts were beneficial in mending damages to the liver caused by Alloxan monohydrate in the male wistar rats.

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk menentukan aktivitas antikolesterol ekstrak etanol daun patikan emas pada tikus wistar yang hiperkolesterolemia. Tikus wistar jantan yang berusia 2-3 bulan sebanyak 20 ekor dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok perlakuan secara acak. Kelompok K diberi pakan beras jagung, sedangkan kelompok K-, P1, dan P2 diberi pakan aterogenik. Kelompok P1 dan P2 diberi ekstrak dengan dosis 10 dan 30 mg/kgBB. Pemeriksaan kadar kolesterol plasma ditentukan dengan metode biosensor amperometrik menggunakan alat ukur NESCO GCU dengan bantuan strip yang telah ditetesi darah. Darah tikus diperoleh dari bagian ekor yang telah dilukai. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA satu arah (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak etanol daun patikan emas dengan dosis 10 dan 30 mg/kgBB memiliki aktivitas antikolesterol dengan penurunan kadar kolesterol sebesar 12 dan 71% dibandingkan dengan kelompok K-.Research had been carried out to determine anticholesterol activity of ethanol extract gold patikan leaves. 20 Male wistar rats aged 2-3 months were divided into 4 groups randomly. K group with corn rice fed, while the K-, P1 and P2 with atherogenic fed. Group P1 and P2 are given with extract with doses 10 and 30 mg/kgBW. Examination of plasma cholesterol levels were determined by amperometric biosensor methods using a measuring instrument NESCO GCU with strip that had spilled blood. Blood was obtained from rats tail that had been injured. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA (p<0,05). The results showed that the ethanol extract of gold patikan leaves with doses 10 and 30 mg/kgBW decrease the anticholesterol activity with cholesterol levels by 12 and 71%, compared with K- group.

Kersen leaves (Muntingia calabura L) contain metabolites such as alkaloids, anthrax, polyphenols, tannins, saponins and are rich in flavonoid components such as flavones, flavonones, flavan and biflavan which have antidiabetic activity. According to a study conducted by Apriyanti (2016), the ethanol extract of kersen (Muntingia calabura L) at a dose of 250 mg / kg BB significantly reduced blood glucose levels in male wistar rats. In this study aimed at determining IC50 ethanol extract of Muntingia calabura L as an inhibitor of α-glucosidase enzymes using ELISA reader. The method was divided into 3 category is 1 (sample extract), 2 (blank) and 3 (akarbose). Each group added 25 µL α-glucosidase solution (0.25 units / mL then measured using ELISA reader 405 nm. The results showed that the ethanol extract of kersen (Muntingia calabura L) had activity as an inhibitor of α-glucosidase enzyme with IC50 34,197 µg / mL and can be categorized as active.
