A novel [Cu(Glu)2(H2O)]·H2O MOF proved to be an effective adsorbent for the removal of ciprofloxacin drug from aqueous solution with an adsorption capacity of 61.35 mg g−1.

We report an rht-type metal–organic framework (MOF) which exhibits a high adsorption capacity for C2 hydrocarbons and excellent selectivity over CH4. This MOF displays the highest reported C2H2–CH4 selectivity of 127.1 as well as a record high value for C2H4 adsorption enthalpy (49.5 kJ mol−1).
