This article deals with the use of neural networks for estimation of deceleration model parameters for the adaptive cruise control unit. The article describes the basic functionality of adaptive cruise control and creates a mathematical model of braking, which is one of the basic functions of adaptive cruise control. Furthermore, an analysis of the influences acting in the braking process is performed, the most significant of which are used in the design of deceleration prediction for the adaptive cruise control unit using neural networks. Such a connection using artificial neural networks using modern sensors can be another step towards full vehicle autonomy. The advantage of this approach is the original use of neural networks, which refines the determination of the deceleration value of the vehicle in front of a static or dynamic obstacle, while including a number of influences that affect the braking process and thus increase driving safety.

In contrast to the traditional pneumatic braking system, the electronic-controlled pneumatic braking system of commercial vehicles is a new system and can remedy the defects of the conventional braking system, such as long response time and low control accuracy. Additionally, it can adapt to the needs and development of autonomous driving. As the key pressure regulating component in electronic-controlled pneumatic braking system of commercial vehicles, automatic pressure regulating valves can quickly and accurately control the braking pressure in real time through an electronic control method. By aiming at improving driving comfort on the premise of ensuring braking security, this paper took the automatic pressure regulating valve as the research object and studied the pressure change rate during the braking process. First, the characteristics of the automatic pressure regulating valve and the concept of the pressure change rate were elaborated. Then, with the volume change of automatic pressure regulating valve in consideration, the mathematical model based on gas dynamics and the association model between pressure change rate and vehicle dynamic model was established in MATLAB/Simulink and analyzed. Next, through the experimental test of a sample product, the mathematical models have been verified. Finally, the key structure parameters affecting the pressure change rate of the automatic pressure regulating valve and the influence law have been identified; therefore, appropriate design advice and theoretical support have been provided to improve driving comfort.

This paper deals with the problem of braking process modeling. A subway train braking process simulation software is built, which composes of a GUI and a underlying model. The underlying model consists of a train model and a brake system model. The train model is simplified and built by assembling subcomponent element models of a railway vehicle. The brake system model is simplified and built based on experimental data in order to reduce computational effort. The GUI of the software can be use to input model parameters, display simulation results, and store simulation data. As a result of the simplifications of the modeling process, the developed software can perform real time simulation.

In order to improve the impartiality and objectivity of judicial expertise, the key problems about traffic accident speed identification are analyzed and the speed of vehicle is calculated by using the braking performance test report with reference to the national standard and automobile theory. The automobile dynamics of driver braking process is analyzed, all kinds of key problems such as the braking distance, braking coordination time, braking speed, longitudinal sliding coefficient of adhesion are combined with the braking performance test report, and the method of determining the longitudinal sliding coefficient of adhesion is proposed, the instantaneous velocity before the collision is calculated. Finally, the method is used to calculate the speed of an actual case, and simulated in the software of PC-Crash, the results are consistent, verifying that the speed identification method is correct.

Abstract The article is focused on braking simulation of automated guided vehicle (AGV). The brake system is used with a disc brake and with hydraulic control. In the first step, the formula necessary for braking force at the start of braking is derived. The stopping distance is 1.5 meters. Subsequently, a mathematical model of braking is created into which the formula of the necessary braking force is applied. The mathematical model represents a motion equation that is solved in the software Matlab by an approximation method. Next a simulation is created using Matlab software and the data of simulation are displayed in the graph. The transport speed of the vehicle is 1 〖m.s〗^(-1) and the weight of the vehicle is 6000 kg including load. The aim of this article is to determine the braking time of the device depending from the input data entered, which represent the initial conditions of the braking process.

Due to the increasing concern for environment protection and the uncertainty about oil reserves, nowadays electricity is playing a key role as an alternative energy source in the automotive sector. In this paper, non isolated bidirectional converter is used for electric vehicle application during regenerative braking process. During motoring operation, the converter supplies energy to motor through battery. In regenerative braking action, the converter supplies the available back emf to charge the battery. The recycled energy is effectively stored in the battery. The simulation is carried out in MATLAB/Simulink. The worthiness of simulation is illustrated experimentally by developing a prototype. The simulation and experimental results are presented in this paper.

The disc brake is a device that used for reducing speed or discontinuing the cycle of the vehicle. many times, using the brake for vehicle starts to heat producing during braking process, such that disc brake undergoes breakage due to high temperature. Disc brake design is done through creo 4.0 and analysis is completed by using ANSYS18.1 workbench. The main purpose of this project is to study the Thermal analysis of the Materials for the Cast Iron, Stainless steel and aluminium alloy at various disc rotor profiles. A comparison between the three materials and profile for the Thermal values at maximum speed of the vehicle.
