This Article summarizes the main findings of a detailed. study of the changing occupational and industrial structure of Mexico's non-agricultural labor force from 1895 to 1930 and from 1930 to 1950, based on a comparison of population censuses, especially those of 1895, 1930, and 1950. Structural changes in Mexico's labor force have never been adequately studied, and the results of the present research shed considerable new light on Mexico's development. The findings also suggest important paradoxes and discontinuities in the early stages of industrialization that merit systematic recognition in models and measurements of structural change over the course of development.

Background: The significance of multi-site phosphorylation of BCL-2 protein in the flexible loop domain remains controversial, in part due to the lack of structural biology studies of phosphorylated BCL-2. Objective: The purpose of the study is to explore the phosphorylation induced structural changes of BCL-2 protein. Methods: We constructed a phosphomietic mutant BCL-2(62-206) (t69e, s70e and s87e) (EEEBCL- 2-EK (62-206)), in which the BH4 domain and the part of loop region was truncated (residues 2-61) to enable a backbone resonance assignment. The phosphorylation-induced structural change was visualized by overlapping a well dispersed 15N-1H heteronuclear single quantum coherence (HSQC) NMR spectroscopy between EEE-BCL-2-EK (62-206) and BCL-2. Results: The EEE-BCL-2-EK (62-206) protein reproduced the biochemical and cellular activity of the native phosphorylated BCL-2 (pBCL-2), which was distinct from non-phosphorylated BCL-2 (npBCL-2) protein. Some residues in BH3 binding groove occurred chemical shift in the EEEBCL- 2-EK (62-206) spectrum, indicating that the phosphorylation in the loop region induces a structural change of active site. Conclusion: The phosphorylation of BCL-2 induced structural change in BH3 binding groove.

The conventional approach to assessing structural change in regional input – output tables is to measure the impact of coefficient change on the estimation of outputs and multipliers. The methods developed and tested in this paper focus exclusively on the coefficients. Univariate and multivariate statistical analyses can be used to identify and measure various types of changes ranging from coefficient instability to changes in interindustry relationships as a system. A distinction is made between structural changes in input relationships and those in output relationships. The methods are tested by using Washington State data for the years 1963 and 1967. The results are compared with previous analyses of change in these data.

The current phenomenon of the economy-accelerated digitalization, known as the “Industry 4.0”, will generate both an increased productivity, connectivity and several transformations on the labor force skills. Our research objectives are to determine the influence that digitalization has had on the workforce in several developed countries and to propose a new composite indicator that reflects these dynamics over time. We have used the Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) in order to identify and analyze the correlations between two sets of variables, an independent one and a dependent one. Data were collected from the World Bank and World Economic Forum for the years 2018–2019. Based on the results of our research we have determined and made a consistent analysis of the new composite index of digitalization and labor force in 19 countries. The results of our research are relevant and show not only the impact of digitalization on the labor force in different countries, but also the structural changes required by the new economic and social models. Our research can help decision-makers get in advance the necessary measures in the field of labor force in order to ensure a proper integration of these measures into the new economic model based on digitalization.

Recently, dynamic social network research has attracted a great amount of attention, especially in the area of anomaly analysis that analyzes the anomalous change in the evolution of dynamic social networks. However, most of the current research focused on anomaly analysis of the macro representation of dynamic social networks and failed to analyze the nodes that have anomalous structural changes at a micro level. To identify and evaluate anomalous structural change-based nodes in generalized dynamic social networks that only have limited structural information, this research considers undirected and unweighted graphs and develops a multiple-neighbor superposition similarity method ( ), which mainly consists of a multiple-neighbor range algorithm ( ) and a superposition similarity fluctuation algorithm ( ). introduces observation nodes, characterizes the structural similarities of nodes within multiple-neighbor ranges, and proposes a new multiple-neighbor similarity index on the basis of extensional similarity indices. Subsequently, maximally reflects the structural change of each node, using a new superposition similarity fluctuation index from the perspective of diverse multiple-neighbor similarities. As a result, based on and , not only identifies anomalous structural change-based nodes by detecting the anomalous structural changes of nodes but also evaluates their anomalous degrees by quantifying these changes. Results obtained by comparing with state-of-the-art methods via extensive experiments show that can accurately identify anomalous structural change-based nodes and evaluate their anomalous degrees well.

The main tendencies and peculiarities of the labor market development of Dnipropetrovsk region are considered in the article. There were collected and analyzed the materials of Ukrainian statistical report and Dnipropetrovsk region reports of Statistics Department. There were analyzed general situation of the labor market in Ukraine and regions. The article includes indicators of the labor force of Ukraine in terms of regions over the past five years, identifies the place of the labor market of Dnipropetrovsk region in the overall structure of the labor market of Ukraine. A comprehensive analysis of the labor force indicators of the Dnipropetrovsk region by the number of employed persons, the gender structure of the employed population and the dynamics of the relevant indicators. The structural changes in the composition of the unemployed population of the region by territorial and sexual affiliation are determined, as well as the changes in the sex and age structure of the unemployed population over the past five years. The conducted research made it possible to assess the structural changes in the region's labor force, which are accompanied by a reduction in the labor force, a decrease in the labor force, and an increase in the unemployed population.

Since 2008, Russia has been conducting special surveys on the occupational structure of employed in the form of a federal statistical observation «On the number and needs of organisations for employees by professional groups». The present study aims to assess the data obtained from this observation for 2008–2018, as well as to compare the methodologies of Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) and the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO-08). The impact of such relevant skills as emotional intelligence and data literacy on vocational training and the emergence of new professions associated with information economy is discussed. The comparative analysis demonstrated that the economy demands highly-qualified specialists in all Russian regions. Simultaneously, the research revealed the impossibility of considering the specificity of regional structures due to the insufficiency of information for predictive assessments of structural changes and the lack of data on occupations in small business and financial and social insurance sectors. According to the analysis of the dynamics of vacancies for various groups of occupations, the linear trend in the total amount of vacancies tends to decrease. The absence of relevant regional data prevents an in-depth analysis of regional differences and the construction of econometric models to identify the reasons for these differences. Additionally, it is impossible to assess the determinants of the lack of qualified staff by professional groups in Russian regions without these data. The study concludes that researchers and experts, using the Rosstat methodology, should not synonymise the concepts of occupation, speciality and type of activity. The research results can be used to expand Rosstat’s survey of occupations, in particular, its database for Russian regions, as well as to improve the methodology for statistical observation of occupational structure of the employed.
