This chapter outlines the key features of the diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. This is a diagnosis that has attracted significant levels of stigma and has generally been viewed as difficult to treat. This has resulted in often inadequate service responses for people experiencing high levels of distress. Increased understanding is facilitated by exploring precipitating factors leading to this diagnosis, including invalidating and often traumatizing environments. Available evidence from Australian and international literature is considered, with main treatments identified to inform improved treatment outcomes. The need for attention to biological, psychological factors is highlighted and in particular acknowledgment of the high prevalence of trauma, particularly childhood sexual assault, amongst the mostly women who are given this diagnosis.

Háttér és célkitűzésA tehetségmenedzsment (TM) a digitalizáció, a demográfiai változások és a COVID –19 munkavállalókra gyakorolt és gazdasági hatásai kapcsán egyre aktuálisabbá válik mind regionális, mind szervezeti szinten. A „tehetségfüggés” fokozottan érvényesül az innováció-és tudásorientált fejlett társadalmakban, valamint recesszió idején, amikor erősödik annak az esélye, hogy a legtehetségesebb szakemberek kiáramlanak egy adott országból. A TM nem csupán gyakorlati, hanem elméleti kihívást is jelent a kutatók számára a koncepció komplexitása miatt. Elméleti összefoglalónk a tehetségről való gondolkodás szervezetpszichológiai aspektusaira fókuszál. Áttekintjük a szervezeti TM jellemző eszköztárát és az elmúlt évtizedekben történt legfőbb változásokat, a jövőre irányuló tendenciákat.MódszerHazai és nemzetközi szakirodalmi forrásokat dolgoztunk fel és szintetizáltunk.Eredmények és következtetésekA nemzetközi szakirodalmi áttekintés alapján látszik, hogy a munkahelyi TM témaköre leginkább közgazdasági és HR-fókuszú kutatásokban bukkan fel. Bemutatjuk a szervezeti TM hatékony módszereit, jó gyakorlatait, hatásait a szervezetre és az egyénre nézve, valamint az esetleges pszichológiai kockázati tényezőket.Background and objectiveTalent management (TM) is becoming increasingly relevant in the context of digitalization, demographic change and the economic and economic impact of COVID-19, both at a regional and organizational level. “Talent dependency” is increasingly prevalent in innovation-and knowledge-oriented advanced societies and in times of recession. In such a situation, the chances of the turnover of most talented professionals increase. TM is not only a practical but also a theoretical challenge for researchers due to the complexity of the concept. Our theoretical summary focuses on the organizational psychological aspects of thinking about talent. We review the standard toolkit of organizational TM and the main changes and future trends of the last decades.MethodWe processed and synthesized domestic and international pieces of literature.Results and conclusionsWe considered based on the international literature review, that the topic of workplace TM appears mostly in economics and HR-focused research. The purpose of our study is to present the points at which (organizational) psychology can contribute to a more thorough, in-depth understanding of this field and the development of effective corporate TM programs in the long run. We present the effective methods, acceptable practices, effects of the organization TM on the organization and the individual, as well as possible psychological risk factors.

Lesson Study (LS) is a professional development model that Japanese teachers have been utilizing for over a century. Although several scholars have proclaimed the benefits of adopting LS in international educational systems, it is still unclear how LS has been used and how it should be implemented in cultures beyond Japan. In order to shed light on the theme, an International Systematic Literature Review was conducted aiming to (1) identify specific features of LS practices as they are developed in different settings, (2) verify and analyze what cultural aspects may have impacted the implementation of LS, and (3) verify and develop analysis of challenges for the use of successful practices of LS in international contexts. 5 international academic databases were searched in order to identify 28 publications. This investigation provides multiple evidences of the fast global spread of LS and reveals that some key adaptations or redesigns are conducted so that LS meets local needs and conditions. It argues that time constraint, financial support, search for quick results and inclusion of knowledgeable others are critical aspects that should be considered when introducing LS to a new context. Finally, this study suggests further avenues for research to deepen the understanding of how the LS movement should be properly implemented in different contexts outside Japan.

ABSTRACT Objective: To identify and analyze the production of knowledge in national and international literature on patient absenteeism in scheduled medical consultations. Method: This is an integrative literature review in the databases PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, Medline, LILACS, Virtual Health Library of the São Paulo State Department of Health and Spanish Bibliographic Index in Health Sciences, accessed through the Virtual Health Library Portal, based on the guiding question. Results: A total of 767 articles was found and nine were selected. Forgetfulness predominated among the reasons for absence. Other findings regarding the cost to the health service and strategies for solving the problem are highlighted. Conclusion: As the focus of the studies, the concern with the quality of care, increased treatment queues and high demand, as well as the cost of absent patients, are evident. Despite the relevance of the theme for the health services organization, the literature is still scarce.

<p><strong>Resumo:</strong> A implantação de um empreendimento que tenha potencial de produzir ou atrair uma quantidade significativa de viagens de cargas (PGV Carga) pode contribuir para o agravamento dos problemas de tráfego já existentes ou ocasionar problemas não previstos em uma região. Conhecer o volume de viagens geradas e seus modelos de previsão pode ajudar a minimizar tais problemas. Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar o perfil dos modelos de geração de viagens de carga que possam ser utilizados para subsidiar os estudos sobre PGV Carga. Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica nacional e internacional (25 estudos). Verificou-se que predomina o uso de taxas e de regressões lineares simples e múltiplas, nas quais se obtêm coeficientes de determinação (R²) iguais ou maiores que 0,7.</p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> The deployment of an enterprise that has the potential to produce or attract a significant amount of freight travel, may contribute to the worsening traffic problems that already exist or cause unanticipated problems in a region. Knowing the volume of trips generated and their forecasting models can help minimize such problems. This paper aims to present a profile of freight trip generation models that can be used to subsidize research on such enterprises. We performed a national and international literature review (25 studies). It was found the predominant use of taxes and simple and multiple linear regressions, where we obtain coefficients of determination (R²) equal to or greater than 0.7.</p>

In Canada, recent immigrant households are more likely to be food insecure than non-immigrant households. This is important for Canada, which receives approximately 250,000 permanent residents each year, as food security is linked to how immigrants perceive membership, reconstruct identity, and integrate successfully. Literature on immigration and food insecurity exists; however, it has not been collected or analyzed through an in-depth, critical review. This paper comprises the findings of a review of Canadian and international literature on barriers to food security for immigrants and their children. It includes sources from the academic, interdisciplinary literature in addition to government and non-government primary data, and considers the experiences of immigrants in terms of availability, accessibility, adequacy, acceptability, and agency of food. This review provides an understanding of the research that exists on the causes of food insecurity for newcomers, as well as identifies gaps in the literature and recommendations for further research.

Bolig, familieliv og hjemfølelse er historisk og kulturelt tæt knyttet sammen. I denne artikel er vi derfor interesseret i, hvad der sker med forholdet til boligen og med hjemfølelsen, når familien går i opløsning, og en eller begge parter flytter i forbindelse med en skilsmisse. Artiklen rummer dels en teoretisk introduktion til den internationale teori vedrørende bolig og hjemfølelse, dels en analyse af kvalitative interview med fraskilte om deres praktiske og følelsesmæssige forhold til deres bolig og hjem før og efter skilsmissen. Analysen peger på, at de følelsesmæssige bånd til en familiebolig kan forsvinde i dét øjeblik, beslutningen om en skilsmisse er truffet. Det praktiske arbejde med at etablere og indrette et nyt hjem kan blive en vigtig måde at søge ny identitet som enlig, og problemer med at finde et sted at bo, og deraf følgende midlertidige boliger, kan derfor gøre livet efter skilsmissen ekstra svært. Undersøgelsen peger endvidere på, at til trods for at mange fraskilte oplever det positivt at bo alene i en periode, så lever drømmen om kernefamilie og familiebolig videre. De fleste interviewpersoner giver således udtryk for, at de forestiller sig, at de på et tidspunkt etablerer en ny familiebolig med en ny partner. ENGELSK ABSTRACT: Kirsten Gram-Hanssen & Claus Bech-Danielsen: Divorce and Housing: Where does the Feeling of Being Home Move? House and home are historically and culturally closely connected to family life. In this article we investigate the ways in which the housing situation and the feeling of home are affected by divorce – when some or all members of the family move out of the matrimonial house. The article is based on an international literature review on the meaning of housing and home and on qualitative interviews of four men and five women in Denmark who were interviewed about their experiences with housing and home while being divorced. The article points out that emotional relations to the matrimonial house may disappear at the very moment the decision is made to divorce. It also points out that the practical work of creating a new home can play an important role in the process finding a new identity as a single parent. Many people find that life after being divorced is very difficult, when problems in finding a new house result in a number of temporary housing situations. Finally it is stressed that, even though many divorcees have positive experiences living alone, they never give up the dream of the nuclear family. Most of the interviewees picture themselves living in a new matrimonial house with a future partner. Key words: Housing, home, divorce, family, qualitative interviews.
