Substitution-initiated CO-releasing rate of diiron hexacarbonyl complexes are highly dependent on their bridging linkages and the complexes of the “open” form release CO much faster than those of the “close” form.

Abstract The aims of this thesis are to figure out the techniques and process of translation of English idiom into Indonesian Language. The data were taken from a Novel by Sidney Sheldon entitled “Bloodline” and its translation Garis Darah. The collected data was analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative methods. The data of this study were collected by identifying and classifying the data based on the idioms and translation procedures by using Hocket (1958). Another theory is from Vinay & Dalbernet’s (1995) and also supported by a theory proposed by Catford (1978). Through classification based on the theory there are three types of idioms, they are English phrasal compound that is divided into three parts such as the close form, the hyphenated form and the open form; figure of speech that is divided into four parts such as simile, hyperbole, metaphor, and personification; and slang. All types of idioms are applied in this thesis and it is found there are 289 data. The close form is 3, the hyphenated form is 16, the open form is 11, simile with 42 data, metaphor and personification are 26, hyperbole is 33, and slang is 132 data. On the other hand, there are seven techniques of translation according to the theory, they are borrowing, calque, literal, transposition, modulation, adaptation, and equivalence. All techniques are applied in this thesis. The most dominant translation technique that is applied in this thesis is adaptation with the percentage of 33,5% (97 data), the second is literal with 33,2% (96 data), modulation and equivalence has same percentage as 10,3% (30 data), transposition is 9,3% (27 data), borrowing with 2,76% (8 data), and the last is calque with 0,34% (1 data). Keywords: techniques of translation, idiomatic expression, languages

The title of this research is “Compounding in CNN International Online Newspaper September, 2019: Morphological Studies”. this research aims to describe the compounding form and compounding category in CNN Internatinal online newspaper, September 2019. The method in this research is used qualitative descriptive research method. The data in this research were obtined by reading the CNN Internatinal online newspaper, September 2019. The result of this research shows that the compounding process in CNN Internatinal online newspaper, September 2019 can be classified into two forms they are writing forms and compounding forms. In writing forms they are open form and close form and the form of compounding they are endocentric compound (which has a head of compound words) and exocentric compound (which has no a head of a compound word). The category of the data they are compound noun (noun+noun/verb+noun) and compound verb (noun+verb).

Background/Objectives: The purpose of this study is to find out the structural relationships among customer delight, exercise commitment, and psychological happiness to contribute developing exercise Apps. Methods/Statistical analysis: A questionnaire survey was conducted and 160 college students who are familiar with mobile exercise applications participated. The data analyzed with frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural correlation analysis. The validity and the reliability were obtained: customer delight (χ2=26.532, df=14, CFI=.985, TLI=.971, RMSEA=.075), exercise commitment (χ2=113.802, df=49, CFI=.956, TLI=.941, RMSEA=.091), and psychological happiness (χ2=15.338, df=8, CFI=.989, TLI=.980, RMSEA=.076, and Cronbach’s α=.906~.938).

Optical activity of the achiral cation [Co(NH3)6]3+ is induced both by (S)-AsnONa and (S)-GlnONa, as shown by a negative Cotton effect in the 1A1g → 1T1g transition region. An outer-sphere interaction by three-point attachment of the amides can explain the fact that substitution reaction of [Co(NH3)6]3+ with the mentioned amides in an alkaline medium is unusually slow as compared with other amino acids.

The acid VI, obtained from 2,5-difluorothiophenol (IV) and (2-iodophenyl)acetic acid, afforded by cyclization with polyphosphoric acid 6,9-difluorodibenzo[b,f]thiepin-10(11H)-one (VII) in a satisfactory yield. Two further steps led to the chloro derivative X giving by a substitution reaction with 1-methylpiperazine the title compound III. This substance exhibits some 10% incoordinating activity of the unsubstituted compound I and an indication of cataleptic activity, in contrast to the inactive analogous dichloro compound II. The bulky atom of chlorine in the vicinity of the methylpiperazine residue interferes evidently with the CNS activity; the influence of the atom of fluorine is much less pronounced in this line.

The conformational surface of the Co(en) chelate ring was studied by the method of structural correlation. The reduction of dimensionality of the conformation problem was achieved by employing the pseudorotation concept. The empirical potential surface was obtained by statistical treatment of 743 independent conformations from the Cambridge Structural Database. The theoretical potential surface was obtained by molecular mechanics. The minimal-energy conformation is gauche with the Co atom on the two-fold axis. Conformational flexibility also includes an envelope conformation with the N atom bent out of the plane. The transition between the mirror-image symmetrical conformations can occur by a pseudorotation pathway and is accompanied by increased planarity of the ring. The transition state is an envelope conformation with an out-plane Co atom.
