[Ce(l-Pro)2]2 (Oxa) was used as a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst under mild conditions for the preparation of 2-aryl-2,3-dihydroquinazolin-4(1H)-one derivatives. The one-pot protocol proceeds in ethanol using anthranilamide with several aldehydes at 50–55 °C. The catalyst can be recycled and reused three cycles without significant loss of catalytic activity.

AbstractA convenient and efficient solvent-free, facile, one-pot three-component graphene oxide catalysed approach has been described for the synthesis of chromeno-[4,3-b]quinolin-6-one derivatives from 4-hydroxycoumarin with aldehydes and aromatic amines. Graphene oxide (GO) has proved to be a new class of heterogeneous carbocatalyst which could be easily recovered and reused up to 5th run without significant loss of its catalytic activity. A broad scope of substrate applicability is offered and a plausible mechanism is also suggested for this developed protocol.

: Synthesis of isoxazole structural heterocyclic compounds is important due to their wide range of biological activities. In the present article, we report a convenient and easy method for the synthesis of 4-arylmethylidene-3-substituted-isoxazol-5(4H)-ones by the one-pot three-component reaction of aldehydes, β-keto ester, and hydroxylamine hydrochloride cat-alyzed by sulfated tin oxide as a heterogeneous catalyst.
