Road an important component for a region, as well as for Magetan Regency, its position is located at the end of East Java, making the road infrastructure very useful. For this reason, it is necessary to assess the condition of the pavement and the outer side of the pavement and get results. The assessment model of the national road component condition in Magetan district was developed by adopting a condition index system according to the weight and hierarchy of each road component. The weighting of road components using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method through questionnaires resulted in the weight of pavement components 0,80 and for the components outside the pavement of 0.20 with the road shoulder sub component having a weight of 0.37; drainage channel / edge 0.33; edge slopes 0.15; sidewalks of 0.09 and 0.06 and pavement values using the PCI method, where the results of road performance when observed from pavement or out of pavement spawn periodic maintenance.

The pavement and pavement structure are structure consisting of one or several layers of processed materials, whose the function is to support the weight of the traffic load without causing significant damage to the construction. Pavement Condition Index (Pavement Condition Index) is the level of pavement surface condition and its size in terms of the power function that refer to the conditions and damage on the pavement surface that occurs. The Pavement Conditions Index or PCI is a numerical index that has values ranging from 0 to 100 with criteria excellent, very good, good, fair, poor, very poor, and failed. The field study of this research is the road section starting from STA 310 + 000 up to 320 + 000. The assessment of road conditions according to the Pavement Condition Index (PCI), where the data was collected through field surveys. The types of damage on the ivory tip of the STA 310 + 000 - 320 + 000 are patches, crocodile cracks, holes, edge cracks, loose grains, waves and elongated cracks. Obtained pavement condition index (PCI) average is 34.6 with an assessment of the condition of road damage is bad (poor). Based on the PCI value the road is included in the periodic maintenance program.

A Bridge is a structure that spans horizontally the road, body of water or a valley. Bridge Construction may vary depending on the intended functioning of the bridge and nature of the that geographical region. Keeping in view the bridge site and various constraints, type of bridge and method of construction are to be selected carefully for successful completion of bridge construction. However, It has been realized that critical barriers in bridge construction need to be identified and evaluated. The intended purpose of the presented research work is to check the critical barriers in bridge construction. Six critical barriers in bridge construction have been shortlisted by carrying out extensive review of literature and categorized in to three categories: 'Climate factors', 'Engineering factors', 'Public problem factors' using experts’ inputs. Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) method is chosen to rank of critical barriers in bridge construction. All pair wise comparison matrices are fabricated on the basis of a survey with inputs from thirty civil engineers. The outcomes may be instrumental for the planning creators for designing influential strategies to deal with critical barriers in bridge construction.

National road preservation activities in Indonesia are usually carried out using a traditional approach system, namely in-house system and contract system with a design-bid-build (DBB) approach. An alternative contract method to improve the quality of roads is the long segment contract. Its definition is carrying out road preservation activities in one continuous segment with the aim to obtain good road conditions for all segments. This study aims to compare the performance under traditional approaches and long segment contracts. Road performance is expressed in functional performance terminology and uses the International roughness index (IRI) indicator. The research was conducted on the outer urban road of Palembang - Indralaya intersection - Meranjat which is part of the national road section in the Province of South Sumatra, Indonesia. Results showed that the road performance contracted with traditional approaches was better than that of long segment ones. This was not expected and was probably due to the lack of understanding of the parties involved in the long segment contract to the principles of fulfilling road service performance. The contractors are not interested in carrying out routine road maintenance projects because the value of the work is small and there is a lack of experience regarding routine maintenance.

The Government of Indonesia has implemented an integrated contract, performance-based contract (PBC) to preserve national roads since 2011. Comparing with conventional agreements that prioritize input and maintenance processes, PBC prioritizes the output and outcome of clear and measurable road performance. In the performance-based contracts are required WIM (weigh in motion) tools to monitor the overloading vehicles throughout national roads with PBC and should be provided by the contractor as stated in the contract. However, the installation of WIM tools with the high budget has not been beneficial for the contractor because not followed by punishment for the “overloading” vehicles. PBC is the risk sharing between government as road authority and the contractor as the private sector. So, in PBC practice not allowing any significant losses on either party. This study resulted in a performancebased contract simulator by combining WIM technology and dynamic system methods. If the government succeeds in stopping the overloading vehicle entering the road with PBC contract but the contractor still fails to meet the minimum performance, that is the own risk of the contractor and resulted in the imposition of a fine to the contractor as established in the PBC contract. .

Abstract: Identification and hierarchy of risks in inventory management allow mapping and generating a plan of actions in order to control them, diminish them or even extinguish them. This research aims to identify and measure the degree of importance of the main problems encountered in the sector of a metal production chain. The method used to develop this research is the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), in order to hierarchize and thus defines the best way to manage risks. The main results of this study reveal that each area of the organization presents a risk that stands out in the management of inventories, allowing the company to control its expenses better, aligning itself with the companies' strategy of producing at the lowest cost. Excess consumption (demand), supplier delay (supply), and stock divergence (material handling) were highlighted as the major risks in their categories. This study revealed that in the category of demand risks, excess consumption was identified as the most critical risk, in the supply category, the supplier delay was identified at the highest risk and finally in the material handling category, the risk divergence of inventory obtained the highest percentage in relation to the other problems.
