The task of creating a method for constructing components and parts of a locomotive drive, allowing not only to simulate the physical properties of the latter but also to form and automate the recognition of technical solutions, is considered. A model of a traction drive, which is a system of sets of descriptions of real objects of the set which makes it possible to create mathematical models of the structure in the form of a set of related elements included in the libraries of well-known solutions, is proposed. In contrast to previously known methods based on the procedure of creating new solutions under which a prototype of the structure is made and then improved on the basis of an empirical analysis of its development (while the design task is to create new structures). In the proposed method the basis for the construction of the technical system objective model is the classification of technical systems. Solutions to eleminate jamming of the sleeves of the axes with the transverse movement of the engine are proposed. A patent for the invention and two patents for the utility models are obtained.

The issues of development of traction drives of locomotives are considered. It was found that with the existing limitations of the traction force and the speed of continuous operation, asynchronous traction motors do not have clear advantages over collector motors. The possibility of creating collector motors for electric locomotives with a power equal to the used asynchronous ones has been proved, new technical solutions have been proposed for units that ensure the reliability of the latter when using high-torque motors (elastic gearwheel with chevron teeth, two-layer rubber-metal hinge, rubber-cord clutch options), as an optimal solution for the drive with collector motors, it is proposed to use a drive with a support frame motor and an axial gearbox. The directions of research necessary for the practical implementation of drives with a high-torque traction motor are determined, it is proposed to conduct research on the feasibility of creating diesel locomotives with bogies, unified with electric locomotives. The proposed solutions received two patents for inventions, eight patents for utility models, two patent applications were filed.

The problem of choosing an object model of technical solutions for devices to prevent skidding of a traction drive of a locomotive is considered. A model is proposed in the form of sets of descriptions with varying degrees of schematization and libraries for describing typical objects in the form of a hierarchical structure of functional interaction of elements.

The paper reports the consideration of the problem in choice and use of the locomotive traction drive design procedure giving possibilities both in properties and parts modeling, and in the automated identification of design solutions of latter. The object model of a design solution as a structure including the totality of object descriptions allowing the synthesis of engineering solution models as a multitude of interrelated elements described in the libraries of well-known designs. The method differs from the earlier ones in which the creation of new solutions is stipulated by the definition of a prototype and then by its development in accordance with the tendencies revealed empirically. In the method developed the synthesis of a design object model is based on engineering system classifications. The integrated object model of a traction drive involves two parts: first, the multitude hierarchy of the traction drive description for different methods of an engineering solution schematization, secondly, a library which has descriptions of standard objects in the form of a hierarchal structure of functional interaction between elements (I-graph). The search of similar objects in the library takes place at the level of the definition of drive functional elements with the aid of the matrices of similarity measures. There are given offers for the increase of reliability and loading capacity of a rubber-cord clutch of a locomotive traction drive. There are obtained three patents for utility models and an invention patent on the solutions offered.

Despite the urgent need to accelerate the development of intensive forest management and reforestation technologies in Russia, the problem of creating progressive technologies and techniques to increase the efficiency of reforestation by seedlings and saplings of forest crops has not been completely resolved, which are serious challenges for accelerated and high-quality reforestation. Of particular concern is the lack of patented equipment competitive in the domestic and foreign markets for reforestation by seedlings and saplings of forest crops that can accelerate the creation of highly productive forests. To answer these challenges, it is proposed as a tool for the synthesis of patentable solutions that increase the efficiency of forest regeneration by seedlings and saplings of forest crops, to use the knowledge base formed on the basis of patent information search and the author’s methodology of functional, structural and technological analysis. A classification of the main areas of patenting in this area is proposed. The most characteristic patented objects of technologies and equipment that can be used as analogues and prototypes for the synthesis and patenting of new intellectual property for planting seedlings/saplings, as well as business entities patenting in this area, are identified. The effects (goals) for the achievement of which the technical solutions incorporated in the patents are directed are revealed. Using the generated knowledge base and the FSTA methodology, a synthesis of new patentable technical solutions has been carried out. Its features and some results are given on the example of several basic objects of machines and manual devices for planting seedlings/saplings. It is proved that the application of the proposed methodology to the selected object for improving the processes of planting seedlings/saplings is effective, which is confirmed by the development and patenting of fundamentally new technical solutions for equipping forest regeneration with seedlings and saplings of forest crops.

Waveguide and cavity microwave filters continue to be the most important components of high-power radio electronic systems. Cavity microwave filters are of great interest as a separate group of devices of this type. The fields of application of such filters are constantly expanding, and the variety of their design is quite large. In addition, the requirements for their electromagnetic characteristics and reliability are currently increasing. In this regard, it becomes necessary to analyze the already created designs of these devices and study the main trends of their improvement. The objective of the present study is to review the known technical solutions of bandpass filters, made on cavity resonators of the microwave range. An overview of the designs of devices for filtering electromagnetic waves on cavity resonators with coaxial and waveguide coupling elements of various frequency ranges is carried out. It is proposed to use the configuration of basic resonators as the main criterion for the classification of these devices. In accordance with this criterion, five groups of filters are considered: on rectangular, cylindrical, spherical, coaxial resonators, as well as on resonators of complex shape. The review makes it possible to analyze the features of the implementation of different technical solutions for bandpass microwave filters of medium and high power levels and to identify the main trends in the development of this area of research.

The proposed paper examines rotary-screw systems for rotary kilns in the production of expanded clay. To reduce the size, reduce weight, increase productivity, simplify operation, reduce energy consumption in the production of expanded clay, the shell is made screw-shaped and mounted horizontally. Technical solutions protected by six patents of the Russian Federation are proposed, the structures of the shells of rotary kilns are shown, which, in comparison with the known structures of similar purpose, are made screw-shaped with internal spiral grooves. The dependence is proposed for determining the speed of movement of expanded clay pellets in a screw-shaped shell of a rotary kiln. A classification of rotary-screw systems for the production of expanded clay was developed.

Textures play important roles in many image processing applications, since images of real objects often do not exhibit regions of uniform and smooth intensities, but variations of intensities with certain repeated structures or patterns, referred to as visual texture. The textural patterns or structures mainly result from the physical surface properties, such as roughness or oriented structured of a tactile quality. It is widely recognized that a visual texture, which can easily perceive, is very difficult to define. The difficulty results mainly from the fact that different people can define textures in applications dependent ways or with different perceptual motivations, and they are not generally agreed upon single definition of texture [1]. The development in multi-resolution analysis such as Gabor and wavelet transform help to overcome this difficulty. In this paper it describes that, texture classification using Wavelet Statistical Features (WSF), Wavelet Co-occurrence Features (WCF) and a combination of wavelet statistical features and co-occurrence features of wavelet transformed images with different feature databases can results better [2]. Several Image degrading parameters are introduced in the image to be classified for verifying the features. Wavelet based decomposing is used to classify the image with code prepared in MATLAB.

Summary. Until now, there is no consensus on the classification, diagnosis, and definition of treatment tactics for Mirizzy syndrome (MS). Materials and Methods. Examination and treatment of 152 patients with MS were analyzed. We used the classification of MS that we developed. It systematizes the concepts of Mirizzy syndrome, takes into account the staged formation of a biliary mobility and is of practical importance in the choice of surgical tactics, surgical access and scope of operation. Results and discussion. The standardization of surgical tactics on the basis of the developed classification allows to significantly reduce postoperative complications and mortality. Criteria have also been identified that allow with high reliability to identify the presence of MS at the preoperative stage according to ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Conclusions. The presented classification is structurally simple and practical in the selection of tactical and technical solutions in the treatment of MS. Clearly defines the clinical, pathomorphological and therapeutic-tactical aspects of this problem. Takes into account the staged formation of biliary mobility. The standardization of surgical tactics based on the developed classification allowed us to significantly reduce postoperative complications and mortality.

Safety Critical Systems (SCS) are defined as systems controlling critical technological processes, on the proper functioning of which depends human safety. The taxonomy of concepts related to SCS is presented as a dendritic classification scheme. The emphasis is on hierarchical relationships between concepts. After studying global scientific literature, international standards and corporate materials, a classification of the scientific issues accompanying the creation of new SCSs was made.Regarding a part of the broached issues, technical solutions are suggested based on the structural system of the system. In particular, methods and means have been developed to detect and tolerate failures and errors in building the structure and to reduce their adverse impact on the functionality and safety of the systems.Formal models have been developed, concerning which calculations and studies have been performed. Quantitative dependencies are established between the technical and probability parameters of diversity structure on the one hand and the reliability and safety of the system on the other. Conclusions are drawn as regards the practical application of the methods and models.
