Thermal insulation materials are the main link in solving the problem of enclosing constructions energy efficiency. The number of heat insulators is relatively low, that`s why it is important to develop new insulators that would be better than the existing ones in their characteristics. Such heat-insulating material as foam glass is known, but it is practically not applied, despite the fact that it possesses high heatinsulating and mechanical characteristics, it is non-combustible, durable and environmentally friendly. All the advantages of foam glass are inferior to one drawback. It is the high cost price of this material. If the cost price of foam glass was reduced and its main characteristics were at the same level, foam glass would take a leading position among other heatinsulating materials. The article presents some information about the development of foam glass, in which dolomite flour is used as a foaming agent. The material proposed by the authors has a density of about 200 kg / m3, water absorption of 25%. The material is manufactured at maximum foaming temperature of 750 °C.

Phosphorus slag could be used to prepare wollastonite glass ceramics. With the aid of incorporated foaming agent, foam glass ceramics can be obtained via the sintering of the slag-based glass. After the glass powder reacted with graphite, macro-size pores with homogeneous distribution were formed. The level of porosity of the fabricated foams was controlled by varying heat treatment temperature and amount of foaming agent. It was found that the preferential processing parameters for producing foam glass ceramics were foaming temperature of 1000°C with holding time of 10 min and 1 wt. % of graphite. In this case, the porosity reached about 80%. The results show that dominant crystalline phase is wollastonite, and the high compression strength results from the crystallization of glass during sintering process.

Using Al powder as thickening agent and CaCO3 powder as foaming agent, Al foams with above 85% porosity, pore sizes between 1mm and 4mm and relatively uniform pore structure have been fabricated by melt foaming method at different foaming temperatures. Meanwhile, the paper researched the effect of foaming temperature on foaming effect and analyzed the defects in Al foams. At last, compression test were taken in order to investigate the mechanical properties of aluminum foams. The results showed that pore structure, pore distribution and compression properties of Al foams fabricated at 720°C were much better than that fabricated at lower temperature.

The paper presents experimental results obtained by a team of researchers from the company Daily Sourcing & Research SRL Bucharest in the field of producing the foamed glass-ceramic from waste bottle glass, coal ash and silicon carbide as foaming agent. The originality of the experiments consists in the use of electricity or microwave energy, unlike all techniques known worldwide consumers of fossil fuel. The product, obtained with low energy consumptions and very low pollutants emissions, has physical and mechanical characteristics of an insulating material, i.e. high porosity, low thermal conductivity and an adequate compressive strength.

The article deals with the problems of eff ective insulation for housing construction. The most commonly used heaters in our country are polystyrene and mineral wool. The advantages and disadvantages of these heaters, and proposed the idea of creating an alternative insulation based on foam glass composition are studied. This material is stripped major drawbacks polystyrene and mineral wool. It is durable, durable, non-fl ammable, water-resistant, environmentally friendly, and has a number of other advantages. The disadvantage of the material can be considered its high cost. To reduce the cost of insulation it is supposed to consider the possibility of introducing into its composition various additives, including industrial waste, which will help solve up-to-date environmental problems.

In recent years, the telecom market has been very competitive. The cost of retaining existing telecom customers is lower than attracting new customers. It is necessary for a telecom company to understand customer churn through customer relationship management (CRM). Therefore, CRM analyzers are required to predict which customers will churn. This study proposes a customer-churn prediction system that uses an ensemble-learning technique consisting of stacking models and soft voting. Xgboost, Logistic regression, Decision tree, and Naïve Bayes machine-learning algorithms are selected to build a stacking model with two levels, and the three outputs of the second level are used for soft voting. Feature construction of the churn dataset includes equidistant grouping of customer behavior features to expand the space of features and discover latent information from the churn dataset. The original and new churn datasets are analyzed in the stacking ensemble model with four evaluation metrics. The experimental results show that the proposed customer churn predictions have accuracies of 96.12% and 98.09% for the original and new churn datasets, respectively. These results are better than state-of-the-art churn recognition systems.

Online reputation has become a key marketing-mix variable in the digital economy. Our study helps managers decide on the effort they should use to manage online reputation. We consider an online reputation race in which it is important not just to manage the absolute reputation, but also the relative rating. That is, to stay ahead, a firm should try to have ratings that are better than those of its competitors. Our findings are particularly significant for platform owners (such as Expedia or Yelp) to strategically grow their base of participating firms: growing the middle of the market (firms with average ratings) is the best option considering the goals of the platform and the other stakeholders, namely incumbents and consumers. For firms, we find that they should increase their effort when the mean market rating increases. Another key insight for firms is that, sometimes, adversity can come disguised as an opportunity. When an adverse event strikes the industry (such as a reduction in sales margin or an increase in the cost of effort), a firm’s profit can increase if it can manage this event better than its competitors.

The article discusses the peculiarities of the "water-glass – glycerol" foaming mixture components interaction during foam glass synthesis. The important role of the foaming additive type in the foam glass porous structure formation was described, the main foaming substances were listed. The obtaining and researching technology of the samples was described, the compositions of the initial batches using the "water-glass – glycerol" mixture were developed. It was shown that a material with a highly porous structure and density below 500 kg/m3 can be obtained only with the combined introduction of water-glass and glycerol. In this case, mixtures with a predominance of water-glass in the foaming mixture possess optimal properties. Using DSC, it was shown that the addition of water-glass to the mixture completely eliminates the evaporation of glycerol at lower temperatures and intensifies its combustion at higher temperatures. Thus, the addition of water-glass to the glycerol-based foam glass batch allows glycerol to be saved up to higher temperatures that increases the resulting material porosity.
