The article researches and analyses the temperature of two kinds of new hot knife. And it also does the thermal analysis by Pro/e MECHANICAL about the special steel hot knife. It shows the integral and steady-state distribution of the temperature of the metal knife and proves the accuracy of the experimental data. Through the practical production, the ideal result of the cutting surface can be obtained by controlling the temperature. The article also makes the contrast of the two kinds of surfaces by the electron microscopy. By the contrast, the surface which meets the technological requirements can be obtained by the cutting of the hot knife.

The article concerns steady-state characteristics of a hydrodynamic clutch with electrorheological working fluid controlled by changes in strength of electric field and changes in the filling degree. The characteristics were obtained by experimenting, as well as calculations based on one-dimensional mathematical models. While creating the mathematical models, factors taken into consideration included differences between methods controlling the clutch, as well as various ways the working fluid flows in the clutch’s working space, depending on the relation of angular speed of rotors. The resultant mathematical models were verified with experimental research.

The paper investigates the issue of the asymetric worms´ profile (Fig. 10) of the spiroid gear comprising the direct line worm surface which occurs by the motion of the constituent direct line u upon the helix regarding the steady-state coordinate system 0 (x,y,z). There are described the characteristic attributes of spiroid gears in the article. Some kinematical inaccuracies caused by mistakes in gearing assembly are analyzed there. A testing stand is supposed to carry out an experimental research of inaccuracies influence on smooth run of machine aggregate.

Use of the electron microscope to examine wet objects is possible due to the small mass thickness of the equilibrium pressure of water vapor at room temperature. Previous attempts to examine hydrated biological objects and water itself used a chamber consisting of two small apertures sealed by two thin films. Extensive work in our laboratory showed that such films have an 80% failure rate when wet. Using the principle of differential pumping of the microscope column, we can use open apertures in place of thin film windows.Fig. 1 shows the modified Siemens la specimen chamber with the connections to the water supply and the auxiliary pumping station. A mechanical pump is connected to the vapor supply via a 100μ aperture to maintain steady-state conditions.
