Abstract In this paper, co-phasing errors of a segmented primary mirror tiled by hexagonal segments are successfully calculated for the 12-meter Large aperture Optical/infrared Telescope (LOT). Co-phasing errors including out-of-plane errors are simulated separately and comprehensively based on several software simulation platforms. PAOLA simulation results show that the Strehl Ratio (SR) of LOT is larger than 0.8 when the RMS value of tip-tilt obeying a normal distribution is less than 0.018 arcsec, and the SR of LOT is larger than 0.8 when the RMS value of piston obeying a normal distribution is less than 40 nm. Besides, simulation results of Zemax show that the SR of LOT is larger than 0.8 when the RMS value of tip-tilt obeying a normal distribution is less than 0.02 arcsec, and the SR of LOT is larger than 0.8 when the RMS value of piston obeying a normal distribution is less than 40 nm. These simulation results successfully lay a solid foundation for LOT (especially the segmented primary mirror with active optics).

Main affect factors of curriculum teaching system are teaching rhythm ratio and learning damping of students. However, the lacks of appropriate methods research the relationship between two main factors and expressed characteristics of curriculum teaching system. Based on built physical model of curriculum teaching system in this paper, and refer to course assessment grade which is main expressed characteristics of curriculum teaching, the model parameterization is done. Taking course assessment grade of a teaching class as case, the distribution of learning damping, teaching rhythm ratio, and both of comprehensive influence are simulated by means of Matlab software. Simulation results show that learning damping and teaching rhythm ratio nearly submit to the law of normal distribution, and distribution between learning damping and teaching rhythm ratio is saddle-type.

In order to accurately describe the growth behavior of the micro-fracture under the action of the rock external load, this paper proposes the use of chaos theory to describe the fracture formation process, explains the chaotic characteristics of the fracture from the perspective of the growth of micro-fracture, the number of growth and fracture formation morphology, respectively. Selecting the practical block of an oilfield, the theoretical calculation and finite element software simulation results show that, theoretical calculations are accurate and reliable.

This paper features of IPSec and MPLS technologies, proposes a suitable MPLS VPN security solutions. The program to solve the VPN using MPLS backbone network in the public transport there is a second layer of information can not automatically encrypt, or connect easily made because of errors due to the interruption of information disclosure and other issues. To verify the proposed security program, the actual MPLS VPN can be simplified, abstracestablishing a simulation system MPLS VPN, and using OPNET simulation software simulation, simulation results of VPN officers practical reference value.

A novel hyperchaotic system with fractional-order (FO) terms is designed. Its highly complex dynamics are investigated in terms of equilibrium points, Lyapunov spectrum, and attractor forms. It will be shown that the proposed system exhibits larger Lyapunov exponents than related hyperchaotic systems. Finally, to enhance its potential application, a related circuit is designed by using the MultiSIM Software. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the suggested circuit.

Next generation telescopes are to employ segmented mirrors to realize extremely large primary mirror surfaces. Most of the current ground-based telescopes has monolithic mirrors with radius upto 8 metres. Due to limitations segmentation is preferred for larger size mirrors. Segmentation of mirrors brings a challenging task of controlling the vast number of individual units. In this paper, the H∞ control of the primary mirror of the next generation telescopes are investigated. Both spatially-invariant distributed and centralized controllers are designed for simplified dynamic model of a 37 segment test unit. Firstly, the 37 segment system is modelled by adopting a nodal model. Secondly, an analytic calculation of a H∞ controller is presented. A centralized H∞ controller is, then, designed and simulated in MatLab-Simulink environment. Next, the simulation results are presented and the performance of the controller is evaluated. Thirdly, spatially-invariant distributed controller synthesis is described and a spatially-invariant distributed controller is designed for 37 segment system by controller truncation. The spatially-invariant distributed controller is simulated for the 37 segment system. The simulation results of the controller is presented and compared with the results from centralized scheme. It is shown that both centralized and spatially-invariant distributed controllers satisfy the imaging performance requirements.
